The Life of Ashley Paige Smith 1
How can you tell a well-structured story when your life is absolute chaos? Let's start at the beginning of when my life went downhill and became chaotic.
My name is Ashley Paige-Smith. It all started one warm September afternoon when I was entering my empty house after another day of 2nd grade at the local elementary school. As usual I walked in the house closed the door, locked it, grabbed a snack, fed the cat then trudged up to my room. I shut the door and got started on my homework. I then decided to turn on the small radio in my room. I had been tinkering with the old thing for ages and finally got it to work. I zipped through my math and ELA homework then got to tinkering while listening to the radio.
"A fateful car crash has been spotted on main street." That was right next to my house, so I decided to go check it out I grabbed my tote bag and started to head out the door when the radio said, "The three involved in the crash have now been identified as John Paige-Smith, Jacqulyn Paige-Smith and Joe McBerry." I was frozen in my tracks those were my parents. I ran out of the house and to the crash. I walked down Main Street and I felt tears in my eyes as the whole car was smashed into pieces.
A police officer came over and said, "You should be getting home kid."
I looked up at him and said, "T- those are my parents."
He looked down at me and said, "I'm so sorry kid, they both died."
Tears streamed down my face. I turned and quickly ran back to my house then started tinkering with things getting my mind off my parent's deaths.
The radio was still on "... reports are saying that the only survivor of the crash was Joe McBerry who caused the crash he is recovering in the hospital as of right now with only minor injuries."
I turned off the radio and walked into my parents' room and started going through their stuff when I eventually came across a file labeled "classified" obviously me having ADHD opened it up and found some pretty interesting information. Apparently, both of my parents had powers and were amazing spies. I also had powers, but they were not listed on the page. I searched some more and came across a safe that only I could open. I had seen it before; it was from one of my many designs I guess my parents actually decided to make it. I fiddled with the complex lock for about one minute and then the safe popped open.
Hope you enjoyed this first chapter of my short story from my school newsletter and yeah. Check out my other story, Beneath Peter Parker if you like marvel.
