Clown

I was a homeless clown, abandoned from the circus, some people say I resemble the famous clown called It, I was once a great source of laughter and joy, but now I lay awake at night, I gain a bad name day by day because of children ruining fun, the circus closed because of it, now no one has remorse for anyone else. My days of red noses had ended and no one will let me in because the clown now has a bad name, all I own is my circus suit, a book with pen, and a few red balls of foam, I've tried getting jobs, but no one wants a freak, a carny left beside the road, to work in their job place, they don't even want to help me find a home, no money, no food, this is my journal entry, I feel like I'm going to die alone, but as I wrote, a woman of great stature walked toward me, a child behind her, she wasn't scared, nor did she flinch as I stood and removed the hat I wore, greeting her as a man should, she smiled a bit and grabbed the child's hand, pulling him in front of her, the child was blank faced a he looked up to me, "Timmy apologize to the man." The woman said as she nudged the child even closer to me, "I'm sorry mister clown, I should've never said you were evil." the child raised his head and looked me in the eyes as he spoke. I asked with surprise, "What do you mean child?" I frowned at the sadness in his voice, "I mean I'm the reason why the clown riots happened, I started the rumors around the circus grounds, the ones that caused that circus to shut down, I've done this to many other circus shows, and now since my mother knows she's making me apologize to anyone who might've suffered from my stupidity." he recited the words as if making a speech. His mother then patted him on the back, she looked up to me as tears welled up in my eyes, "If you would please, my son has something to give you." she handed the boy an envelope and he handed it to me, I opened the envelope to find an application which read "Walking carnival form" I knew from then that my life could once again be half normal as it was once before, now to this day, I am a clown, I am a carny, this is my life, this life is mine, I bring joy and laughter to faces once again. My life is now much better thanks to a good mother, making up for her sons mistakes by creating a walking carnival.
