Broken Wings Can Fly.
I remember watching that a year ago and I was so moved and amazed by the dance. You can do anything. :)💜

"She just wants to be like everyone else." The father sighed, hands rubbing tired eyes. She reached out and grabbed his face.
"She's not like everyone else, Chadd. Our baby is special and I don't wish to see pain flicker across her beautiful face when she sees the other kids running around." Her voice was thick with tears.
"You can't shelter her forever, Lexi. I know you're trying to protect her." His fingers brushed sticky cheeks. "But, she will have to face the world on her own someday. And, I'd rather prepare her for that endless vicious battle." With a sad smile and a kiss to her temple, he walked away.
Chadd buried himself in his 'workshop' for days, only coming out to sneak in bed beside his wife that pretended to be asleep, waiting for the warmth he offered to finally drift off.
Hallows eve arrived, nervousness floating around the house. "Evin!" The teenager groaned, wheels squeaking, as she maneuvered her way out.
"I'm coming!" The mother's head poked from the kitchen before deciding to join them.
A five o'clock shadow covered his face, hair in disarray and dark bags under his eyes. "Evin, you'll forever be my princess, my little kid. Lexi, you're my queen, the love of my life. Whatever comes our way, we'll deal with it together, yeah?" They both nodded, tears finally staining their cheeks.
Ushering them out, he grinned, cheekily imitating sounds of drums and fueling their growing curiosity and anticipation before opening the garage.
"Oh, my..." Small hands covered a gaping mouth. "Dad..."
"So, I take it that you like it?" Cheeks tinted red, Chadd glanced around before his eyes rested on his wife. She grinned widely mouthing 'I love you'.
"Are you kidding me? I freaking love it! Stacy can piss off." She cheered, loud and boisterous in her bubble of happiness.
The parents burst out laughing. "Evin!" Lexi reprimanded half-heartedly.
"What? Light Fury is the best. She's the perfect combination of sassy, beautiful and badass. Does this mean we're going trick or treating? Please?" The famous puppy eyes were in display, making hearts go weak and minds shut off.
They all needed this. After the accident, the gloomy atmosphere was suffocating robbing them of the tiniest bits of genuine joy. "I might've lost the ability to walk," her voice faltered. "But, that doesn't mean we can't live. I can fly. I don't have to walk to do that." A wobbly smile was shot their way.
"Oh, my baby." Lexi rushed to her daughter, slender arms wrapping around her before broader ones engulfed them both. Evin basked in the family hug. "I got you an Astrid outfit." The squeal emitted almost impaired their hearing abilities.
"You guys are the best." Their proud faces ached from the big smiles.
"Come on inside, I'll help you put it on. Your dad will have to take your wheelchair and turn it into your dragon and companion for the night." A cheeky grin prompted juvenile giggles.
