For my Welsh Baccalaureate work, I had to do community work. Our group got the zoo! We have been at the zoo for the last two days (today and yesterday) helping out.
Yesterday we got to make toys for the meerkats and watch them play in/with them:

The toys looked a bit better in real life XD
We also got to observe some of the animals and take notes of their behaviour.

Then today, we were raising money for a new snow leopard enclosure.

This was our stand.
Awes0me_E1ise drew the snow leopards for the centre board.

The two jars either side of the table have water in with a pine cone floating in each one. The visitors at the zoo were to try and balance a coin on top. If they managed it, they got a sweet. We kept all the money. No one won a sweet. We just gave them a sweet anyway most of the time.

We were there 10-2 and raised about £20-£25. There were two other groups stationed at others parts of the zoo talking about other things but both failed to get any money.

(They didn't prepare for it so had no games or pictures or anything to get people to come over)

AND WE GOT TO WALK ROUND THE ZOO FOR FREE!!!
