Me and louisrdavy did a 10 min story challenge! (U have 10 mins to write a story)

I sat and stared at the space in which Isabelle had previously stood. I couldn't believe what had happened! One second she was stood there chatting away with me and Charlotte, the next some dust cloud came swooping in and sent her flying into the door! I swear it was another one of those smoke monster things... Don't even ask!

Teachers have come outside and have sat her on the bench next to the one I'm on. They're checking she's okay but not asking my first question: what on earth had just happened?

"Hey!" Charlotte's yelling? How long has she been yelling for?... Please don't say I zoned out again. "Emma! Are you going to answer me?"

"Sorry, zoned out..."

"Well no." Sarcasm making no attempt to hide itself.

"What do you think happened?" I asked, hoping she could come up with a logical explanation.

"How am I supposed to know?" She asked, rhetorically of course, "all I know is that it's not one of those smoke monsters you keep talking about!"

"You sure about that?" I asked, hoping she would agree. She had to believe me at some point! It was the 5th time this has happened! You'd think she'd at least consider it...

"Of course I'm sure!"

Behind them, sat on the school roof, the smoke demon waited.
