Shatters Birth (Rewrite)

Everything Hurts

The world is silent, not even the crackling of flames or caring of carrion birds breaking the quiet that had fallen over the bloody battle field that stretched through the valley. An entire army of men, decimated, their Crimson banners swaying silently in the breeze.

A strangled gasp, and a sob breaks the silence, as the last living thing in the valley cries. A small, dragonoid Skóblèrka, gravely wounded, pinned to the stone beneath then with spears and swords, their wings ripped off and laying nearby.

The child let's out another weak cry, calling for help, but to no avail. The humans that had raised it have long sense left, abandoning the dying child that been to loyal to them to their fate.

why did they leave me?

The child's pale blood slowly runs down into the stone, the Skóblèrka's breathing growing weaker as time passes. No tears fell from the child's face, having long sense run out of those. They weakly lift a hand, grasping at one of the spears and trying to pull it free, a scream tearing out of their body as the splintered wood tore at their already damaged Soul Core, breaking fragments off which dissolved to dust.

Why Did They Leave Me

The child pulled harder, desperately trying to escape despite their fatal wounds, their mind crying out for answers. Their grief began to burn, turning to rage at the betrayal of the ones they considered family. They trusted them. They Loved them. They did their best to protect them. Why did they leave him!

Particles of magic started to flicker through the valley, unseen to all except the Reaper Owls that circled high above, radiating inwards towards the dying child in pulses of a frantic heartbeat, as another scream rips itself from the child's throat, filled with heartbreak and rage

WHY DID THEY LEAVE ME!

The first spear came free, fresh blood welling out from the wound like a fountain, but the child didn't care anymore. They wanted answers. They needed to know why. Their hand grasped another spear, and it soon joined its sibling on the ground next to them, giving the child enough movement to sit up, their bones beginning to flicker and distort as the magic around them grew stronger, voices whispering and screaming through each pulse, growing stronger by the second, as the child ripped free another blade from their pinned body.

WE WILL FIND THEM

The child tried to stand, only to fall into the pile of corpses that lay around them, the voices growing louder and louder as a laugh began to bubble out of the child's throat, the magic growing blindingly bright as it swallowed the valley, the screams of a thousand war torn souls ripping through the world

WE WILL KILL THEM!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The nearby village went silent as the scream ripped through the air, the very earth seeming to go still out of fear. The village had been celebrating their victory over the invading army, uncaring for the cost that had been extracted from the child that had been sacrificed. But now where their had been joy and laughter, was fear and dread.
Something was wrong.
Silence overtook the world as another scream rang out, and then a vast, winged shape rose over the mountians that surrounded the blooded valley, that horrible, thousand chorus scream of hate and rage shattering the silence and pushing the humans into motion as they began to scream and run fir their lives as the monster created by their choices decended appon them, black fire racing from its terrible maw and igniting the village
I Loved You
The humans screamed in agony as their homes burned, flesh melted, and souls shattered as the monster enacted their just desserts, burning the village that had been their home to nothing but ash and slag
WE Hate You
The Soul Hydra circled the village, and then started to burn the land around it, its black flame tainting the land, ensuring nothing more would ever grow here
You broke My heart. WE broke your Souls
The wyvernoid monster landed in the ash, its great wings sending clouds of the gray powder into the sky to mix with the smoke, a terrible beacon to any that could see it.
YOU KILLED US, NOW YOU PAY THE PRICE
The Soul Hydra threw its head back and screamed at the sky, the grief, hate, and madness of the thousand souls inside its vessel crying out in unison
The-Ebony-Heart-of-a-Fallen-Star was dead, consumed by the Greed and fear of the humans that had raised it. Only the Shattered-Heart remained.
Fear makes humans do such terrible things, doesnt it?
