30. Woosan - Arranged
I can't believe he is doing this to me!" San said to himself while pacing his bedroom. "Actually, nevermind. This is totally something he would do." he exclaims again. He was angry, his father didn't have the right to arrange a marriage for him. He didn't give consent, he's 24 for god's sake, he's legal. "At least he said it was a guy, I don't think I could've survived it being a girl.
San continued to pace back and forth in the hotel room. He thought about sneaking out of the venue but one look out his door, to see guards, stopped that plan. He threw himself on the bed and thought even more. "Maybe later tonight there won't ba nay guards." San spoke out loud again. Just after he said that, his phone started ringing, he picked it up to see the caller ID labeled 'Dad'. He rolled his eyes but picked up anyway.
"Yes father?" He said exasperated
"What is this the guards are telling me about you planning on sneaking out tonight?" San's eyes widened.
"N-nothing, they most've mishea-heard" He stuttered out
"I don't appreciate the lies San" he could see right through the others lie, "I would punish you for lying, but you are getting married tomorrow and we don't need any bruises to be seen now do we?" I made a disapproving noise, "Answer me!"
"No sir."
"Good, now sleep, you have a lot of people to talk to tomorrow" and just like that, the call was ended, San let out a breath and broke down in tears. He really didn't want this. Still on his bed to curled into a ball and cried his eyes out until he fell asleep due to exhaustion.
Around midnight the boy woke up, because he needed to pee. While washing his hands he formed a plan. He was going to sneak out the window; it was very risky, if he was caught he would be punished, it wouldn't matter that it was his wedding day. He stood in front of the dresser and changed into warmer clothes as it was freezing cold outside. Sitting on his bed, he laced up his warm hiking boots. He grabbed his phone and his wallet. That was all he needed really. He had cash, so his father couldn't track a credit card. He walked over to the window and looked down, he thought there would be balconies that he could climb on, but to his surprise there were only balconies on the levels above. San thought about how he could get down, because climbing wasn't an option. He let the fresh air from outside surround his scenes and then an idea came to mind. He went back inside and opened his dresser looking at all the clothes that the maids packed. He started to tie them together, he needed it to be long enough to at least reach down 3 floors, and he could just jump the last. After half an hour, he finally had a 'rope' long enough to reach the three floor and a bit more. He tied it to the bed post and then threw the rest out the window.
He looked around, watching for guards or security. He waited for ten minutes and didn't see anyone. He carefully climbed out the window, and rested his feet on the window ledge, he then started to lean back. He's rock climbed enough to know how to repel down the side of a structure.
As he made his way down he looked down to see how far he had left. He saw he only had two more floors until the ground. He looked up, and in the corner of his eye he caught movement. San panicked, thinking he was caught. But to his surprise another window, a few down from his, was thrown open and a similarly tied rope was tossed out the window. A body following. Just like he had, the figure stood on the window sill and then started to repel down the side of the hotel. San was frozen, who was this person. The person then looked down and San saw that it was a man, about his age. He made contact with the man. San was the first to look away, he quickly repelled down and jumped the last half a floor. He looked up again and saw the man was almost to the last floor before he had to jump as well. San turned around and started running, running far from building, as fast as he can. As much as he wanted to learn about the boy who was climbing from his window as well. He needed to get as far away from the hotel as he could. Distancing himself from the man he called father. After what felt like 5 miles of running, San bent over to catch his breath.
"You run fast boy" He heard a voice say. San stayed silent, thinking that it might be a guard, "Can you hear me? My names Wooyoung," Woo saud, holding his hand out for a handshake.
"San- my name is San" He said still trying to catch his breath.
"Oh it's you?"
"Have we met before?'
"No, i don't think we have, but I was told by my mother, that the man I am forced to marry tomorrow is also named San" He spoke
"What a coincidence, well nice meeting you" San said and started to walk away, Wooyoung caught up to him.
"You don't understand, I was arranged to marry a man named San tomorrow afternoon, not by choice of course."
"Well that's a good story, now I need to get away before I am caught and punished.' San said and started to hurry away.
"Boy, stop trying to run away from me!"
"Why should I?"
"San! I am literally arranged to marry you today!"
"Yeah, sure. You seem way to nice for my father to choose for me. Plus, there are probably at least like 4 San's in that hotel. And like 5 weddings happening this afternoon."
"The hotel was literally rented by both out parents, it's only our families in this hotel."
"Sure, like imma believe you." San said with a scoff and hiked his small bag up his shoulders.
"Literally you are my arranged husband."
"Well, i don't want an arranged marriage thank you very much. The guy is probably a douche and is some stuck up little-"
"Im right here!" He said, still following San.
"Whatever, either way im not marrying someone I don't know. Weather it's you or not!"
