June 21
Prompt: "Why so serious?"
"Why so serious?" She asked. With every click of her heels against the linoleum floor, my body flinches. Sharp nails run along my exposed shoulders, chills shooting over my skin, inviting goosebumps to rise on my arms. My Adam's apple bobs and I force mt gaze to the floor. She clicks her tongue. "Come on, give me some fun." Her words are a purr from her mouth.
I grind my teeth together, my hands curling into fists behind me. "Fun? What part of this is fun?"
"All of it, babe."
My jaw tightens and my head whips to her. Pearly whites are exposed against deep crimson lips. Dark hazel eyes swirl with insanity and humor, sinking my gut.
"Don't-" my sentence dies on my tongue when she leans down, her face coming dangerously close to mine; the fine hairs at the base of my neck rise, and my spine straightens with them.
"Don't what, babe?" There's a challenge in her question, and a pleading in her eyes, begging me to challenge her.
To give her some fun.
I look away, leveling my eyes to the floor once more. She makes a noise in the back of her throat.
"Aw, and we were just getting somewhere." She sighed. "No matter," my gaze flickers to her, and the world tilts as she produces a small, scalpel, its metal gleaming silver in the scarce light. "I'll make it fun."
