Prompt: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." her voice was indifferent as she spoke the words, her honey gold gaze inspecting her nails. My body trembles, a ball of fire forming in the pit of my stomach. My nostrils flare as a smile curls the corner of her mouth.
"When do you ever give a damn?"
"When it interests in." for a split second her eyes dart to where I sit, backed against the brick wall. "And you certainly don't interest me boy."
My lips curl back, baring my teeth; a laugh resounds through the room at the show.
"You hardly have your canines! You think those puppy teeth will scare me?" Heat rises over my body, my spine straightening when the woman stands from her wooden chair. Heals click against the floor, echoing in the confined space. The moment she's close enough, her pale hand reaches out, narrow fingers brushing me cheek even as I try to careen away. Her skin is cold, a shudder ripping through my body.
"This won't last." I spit out, grinding my teeth together. Our gazes locked, her smirk growing. "I'll get out of this, and when I do, you'll be-" Stars burst in my vision, a sick crack filling my ears as her hand smashes my head against the wall. Pain fills my body, the back of my eyes heating as pressure builds. My teeth come down hard on my lip to stop tears from falling.
"I thought I told you, boy," her breath moves across the warmed skin of my cheek. My body shudders, a trickle of liquid traveling down my neck. I can feel the amusement coming off her in waves, souring the taste in my mouth. Dread fills me, because I hadn't a clue how I'd get out of this, and as she spoke, I felt my hope shriveling within in."I don't give a damn."
