Waiting

She sat in the corner with her headphones on with music blaring, I'm sure. She just sat there like she was waiting for someone, but no one came. Her face fell as the shop closed, and she collected her things and left. She did this every saturday, waited and waited for whoever it may be that she waited for. She waited and watched for many saturdays, but the last was different. She did not wait that saturday, but someone else did. Another girl, a different girl, came and sat in her chair and waited for someone, just like the first girl. She sat there with her headphones on with music blaring, I'm sure. She just sat there like she was waiting for someone, but no one came. Her face fell as the shop closed, and she collected her things and left. She came again the next saturday, and so did the first girl. They sat at the table, with no headphones, no blaring music, and did not wait for anyone. They had been waiting for each other. They talked, laughed, and hugged. When the shop closed they collected their things, but their faces fell like before. They walked out and hugged for a long time and had to walk separate ways. A week went by and the next saturday came. The first girl came, but she didn't sit at her table. She walked up to the counter, and there was the other girl. She came around the counter and hugged and kissed the first girl. She went and gathered her things and they walked out together and never came back. They stopped waiting.
