*Read Out Loud*

** have someone read this out loud, or read to someone, and imagine yourself in this situation close your eyes and let the words lead you through the experience of this dream**

You got up and out of bed slowly, regret in every step. You walked slowly across the hall and to the bathroom. You washed your face as slow as possible. Trying to convince time itself to slow down, but it wouldn't do that for you. No one could do that for you, it seemed. Slow down life and busy plans for awhile, just for you. Next you brushed your teeth slowly taking in each movement, slow and calm. Willing the world around you to freeze, once again to no avail. Eventually you got through everything. You brushed your hair, got dressed, had breakfast, and slowly made your way out to the car. You weren't sure where you were going to go. It was Saturday and you didn't have work or school. No one to see, no plans, no chores to do, no shopping. You were lost. You sat there in the car and thought about life, every single part of life. Your "so called" friends who never invited you to things. Your family so seemingly uncaring in a way, when in all reality you knew they did. Your coworkers who were so caught up in work they had no time to get to know each other. Your classmates so absorbed in drama and false popularity that they didn't have time for you either. Your significant other didn't even have time for you now. They were your world and your purpose, they knew how to make time slow down and even stop for you. That was a long time ago it seemed. Even they had moved on and gotten caught in a rush of time. Technology, celebrities, drama. Swept them away to someone new, someone who claimed to be better. Time didn't slow down for you, but something else did. Something greater. Something with more certain beauty. The world slowed down, the wind was soft and the trees spoke quietly. The busy voices of the people on the sidewalks were silenced by the calls of the bird as you drove along. When you reached your destination, the sounds of traffic and the city light drifted away to reveal the quiet voice of the water. You saw the white capped waves and the white sand. You removed your shoes and made your way to where those waves and the sand met. You watched the tide rise and fall and acknowledged that there was someone else there with you. They didn't speak they just sat in silent understanding with you, as if to comfort you without word. You sat there silently for some time. You watched the water and you knew it was all going to be okay.
