Chapter 3

Beyond the Castle walls...

Along time ago there was a girl who would adventure out into the woods every day and see what adventures she could get herself into.  She'd find her self riding the Unicorns or soaring on a dragon. Playing in her tree fort, or fighting off evil witches. All part of her imagination but all very real to her.

One day she found a tall brink wall covered in vines and flowers of Pink and Gold. The sun was just rising, alumina ring the twinkling flowers. The wall looks to be 12 feet tall reaching more than 2 times bigger than her. She touched the wall and a serge of butterflies erupted in her body.

This was the day, the day Marissa might actually get to experience a real adventure.  Reaching out and grabbing the vines Marissa started up the wall. Till finally she was on top. She sat and watch the rest of the sun rise.  Then as she looked to the left, the most beautiful scenery appeared. A castle standing tall in the middle of field with flowers illuminating the trails and gardens the palace had.

Slowly Marissa made her way down. Letting her bare feet graze against the brightest green grass she had ever seen. She laughed, lied down and rolled through the grass. This was by far one of the best days the girl had in a while. She picked a yellow daisy and placed it on her ear. The daisy matched the bright sundress she was wearing.

As Marissa got closer to the Castle she glowed in awe. The Castle door was Gold with blue and pink decorating the rim. The castle looked to be made of pure gold with the same pink flowers on the wall. Marissa slowly knocked on the door. There was no answer, so she knocked again. One... Two... Three... Still no answer. She decided to go in. No one answered so no harm should be done. Right?

She entered and the door slammed behind her. The image in front of we left her in awe. Once a gain pink gold and blue illuminated the Palace bringing it to life. A big stair case on either side went up to a second level with a platform for a Kin or Queen to stand on.  She ran up the stairs spinning in circles as she let the room surround her. Then she slid down the long rail of the stair case.

Marissa spent the rest of the day exploring the Castle, finding secret passage ways and big rooms, along the way. By now the sun was setting and she had wished to stay there her whole life, but then she remembered her family. How worried they must be and how much she loved them.  She realized family was worth more than this Gold. So she slowly walked down the path from the Castle, turning to say "I will be back, don't worry." Then she ran off into the sunset over the wall, through the forest and back to her home.
