Emma walked up the stairs into the jungle rescue place by the river. She looked around, there was no one there. They were all probably off, rescuing some stranded animal.

"Emma?" A voice came over the radio "Are you there?"

Emma ran over to the table and picked it up.

"This is Emma." She said.

"I need help." Emma realized the voice was Mia "I went to rescue a tiger this morning and fell in the river. The tiger floated away on a branch and is headed for the falls. I got to shore, but need help getting the tiger.'

"I'll be right there.' Emma said. She grabbed a jacket and slid down the slide into the jet ski. Vroom! The jet ski zoomed away, creating a small wave. She scanned the water for the tiger.

"Oh!" She gasped. The tiger was right at the tip of the falls. It squealed with fright as the branch went over. She drove to the shore and jumped off the jet ski. She panted as she ran to the pool beneath the falls. When she reached the bottom she looked around.

The branch floated around, empty. There was no sign of the tiger. Just then its head came above the surface. It tried to swim, but the current pulled it under again.

Emma leaped in and swam rapidly towards the tiger. It was up again and she grabbed it. She pulled it to shore and sat down, catching her breath.

"Roar!" A mommy tiger stepped out of the bushes. It crept towards Emma. She stood frozen with fear. It came and sniffed her arm. "Roar!" It cried again, crouching down. Emma realized that it was going to lunge at her. She slowly backed away, but hit a tree. The tiger ran towards her. Emma closed her eyes and screamed.

"Whack!" The tiger fell down. Mia stood there with a stick high in the air.

"Mia!" Emma cried, running towards her. They hugged each other.

"Lets get out of here before she wakes up.' Mia urgently whispered. Mia and emma tiptoed out of the clearing and started back to the jungle rescue place. On the way, Emma and Mia got the jet ski. they rode it the rest of the way. When they arrived, Mathew was standing there looking worried.

"Mia! Emma!" He cried when he saw them "I was worried."

"Don't worry, we're all right." Mia assured him.

Mia and Emma looked at each other and laughed.
