Regret (Hetalia)(pt. 1)
(This is before Lutz became good)
Lutz sat on his bed, sighing a bit. He didn't see the point in keeping him locked in a room. His so called mother said it was for the best. He just hated not being able to go anywhere. He looked out the window, groaning when he was the 1ps. It was the Axis. What a weak group. Mostly his 1p Ludwig.
He watched them, trying to see what they were doing. When he got out of this room he was going to take them down one by one. It looked like they were having lunch. Of course it was something stupid like that. He watched Feli pull out sandwiches he had spent all morning making for each member of the group. Elizabeta and Roderich both smiled, thanking him kindly. Kiku gave a faint smile, seeming to bow in thanks. Gilbert gave a huge grin and clearly said thank you the loudest. Romano gave a huff that to others would seem mean but to the little group and his brother meant thank you. Ludwig was the last to get his.
If that was me I would smack the kind smile off his face, Lutz thought, thinking back to all the times he had done so to Luci. The pain it had caused him, only for him to mess up and do it again. If he had just learned than he wouldn't have gotten hurt.
Ludwig smiled and ruffled Feli's hair. Lutz blinked, watching the two. He couldn't help it. The whole time they were out there Ludwig always acted so... nice to Feli. No matter when Feli made a mistake Ludwig was so patient and caring to him. They were playing a game of cards and Feli was not any good at it so Ludwig helped him out. It got to the point Feli was beating Ludwig and all the German did was smile like he was proud.
That isn't right... is it?
Lutz just watched his 1p in amazement. No, this had to be right. Ludwig wasn't under lock and key. He wasn't trapped in his room with prison bars over the windows and unbreakable glass. He didn't have to be handcuffed just for someone to see him. Ludwig was free and did whatever he wanted. It was so strange. The man was so nice to everyone around him. He saw the Allies walk out and instead of being hostile he greeted them with a wave. He played a game of Frisbee with Alfred. He talked to Ivan. He helped Francis and Yao get their own lunch laid out. He laughed at a joke Arthur told.
Ludwig was happy.
Lutz was not.
Lutz wanted to scream at Ludwig to come back. Yet they were gone, done for the day. It was just the German and his thoughts. He was busy thinking about everything he had done. He never greeted his Allies with a smile. Allen would never think to throw a ball or disk with him. Ion wouldn't even look at him. Francois and Yang hated his guts. Oliver never said anything but threats to the man. Even his brothers feared him.
And Luci. Luci would never hug his arm or tell him something funny or kind. He never did anything Feli did with Ludwig. Luci thought Lutz was the devil reborn. Lutz put his head against the wall, all the memories of what he did to the others coming rushing back.
He knew why this was suppose to be. He wasn't a kind person. He was evil. He enjoyed the pain he caused. At least he thought he did. But did he really? Did he like having the world hate him and fear him. Calling him a terrible man. Did he want to always be trapped in this room with no one caring for him besides Gaia and his older brother. Did he always want to make mistakes with people supposed to be his friends?
Nein... I don't want this. I want to change. I want what Ludwig has. I want to do what the others did. I want to change. I have to change. I-
He was interrupted by the door opening. He looked and couldn't help but smile a bit.
