Mama (Hetalia)

Gaia looked out her window, sighing a little. She felt lonely, most her little ones gone or not needing her anymore. It was hard to let go sometimes after all. Half the time they forgot all about the things she did for them or she herself made sure they forgot. She knew it was for the better, but it still hurt.

She closed her eyes, thinking about all those times. All those times that were lost forever to many of them...

She remembered finding a blacked hair boy with soulless brown eyes. He had scars all over him from his care takers. She remember the night she healed him and stole him from those wicked men who would do that to a poor child. He had been so scared about leaving and being caught. Yet Gaia refused to let him be caught. So she ran into a bamboo forest and stayed with him all night, telling him that they just had to wait before he would meet someone who would raise him the right way. When morning came, she kissed his forehead and told him to wait. Than she left him to meet his older brother. That was way Kiku was in a bamboo forest when Yao found him. He was waiting for the woman who saved him to return. He barely remembered her face, thanks to that one kiss.

She remembered once in the pouring rain she had been walking down a street when she ran into Basch. He was taking a walk has well and had asked his mother if she was lost. She chuckled and told him no, but did point to a street and told him that was a short cut to his house. Little did Basch know that down that street was a starving little girl who needed a home and a big brother. Yet Gaia had known. It wasn't much of a short cut, but it did give Basch something he would never know. Though he didn't really think much about it.

She remembered finding a blacked hair baby girl with violet eyes. She had been stolen from her mother and brothers. She'd been missing for a few months now, but Gaia found her. She had started to raise the girl, planning on giving her back to her mother before finding out she had died. She knew she couldn't keep the child, but she had to give her a nice home. So when she learned of a woman close to Francis named Joan, she gave the child to her. She knew that it would shape the girl. She hated to have a country raised by a human, but it had to be done.

Gaia chuckled a little to herself. Sure many of her little ones forgot these moments. Yet she knew she did the right thing. She saved them or change things for the better. She' smiled to herself, no longer feeling too lonely. Sure it hurt to know they didn't always need her anymore, but they were her children. They would love her no matter what.

CRASH!

"Mama!! Romulus just broke a vase!!"

"I did not!!"

Even if they could be a little annoying....
