Different View (Hetalia)

"Ugh, these countries are insane!" a guy in a bar spoke up. He was watching the news with a couple of his bodies. stopping to eat out after work. At the moment no good shows were on so they watched the news.

"I know right," another one spoke up, chuckling. "You would think the kings and crap would know what they are doing. Clearly not."

"They've never known what they were doing," the third and last one said. "Look at wars and stuff. Maybe we would be better off not having them to begin with. All they've brought is war and such."

"Oh I don't know," a woman spoke up from another table. Her back was too them, but they could see the woman wasn't that old. Had to be in her early thirties at most. Her light brown hair was pulled up in a bun, and she looked a little short. "I think they need to be given a break."

"Huh?" the first guy asked. The strange woman stood up and walked over, sitting in the open chair. Her light brown eyes looked at them, a small smile on her face.

"What are your names?" she asked.

"William" he answered. "That's Tim and Matthew," he told her nodding to the second and third guy.

"Funny, three of my sons are named that," the woman chuckled. "I have a lot of children. Most aren't really mine though."

"So what were you saying about giving countries a break?" Matthew asked.

"Well I think everyone is so quick to judge those who did the things they did," she told them. "Have you ever stopped and thought about it in a different view point? I bet not."

"You'd be right." Tim nodded, taking a drink of his Coke.

"What view do you look at it has?" William asked.

"Give me a point in history," she told them.

"World War Two."

"Think of the countries has people. Their life depending on the economy of said country. People blame Germany for the war. That's not the case. Think of the person that would be Germany. After World War One he was dying. He was left with nothing. He wouldn't protect himself from anyone. He lost all his allies and was now losing money he needed. His economy was next to nothing. He was dying. So suddenly a man promises to bring him back from death. He says he will get him what he has lost back to him. He promises his people will be happy and not starving and suffering. Of course he says yes. He doesn't know the plan to kill the Jews. He doesn't tell him about any of the things he learned after the war. He just wants to live and let his people have a chance. So they attack with the help of Italy and Japan. Of course Austria and Prussia are there to help has well since Germany could be counted has a little brother and Hungary a wife to Austria. Than Japan's bosses become greedy. They want the United States. So they start a war. Yet America was friends with Japan long before the war. He doesn't want to hurt his friend. So his boss comes up with a way to keep Japan from being killed like he feared. A bomb. Yet the fools don't know what will happen. They think it's dropped, people die, that's it. They soon find out what really happens. Japan feels back stabbed until he sees America crying for forgiveness. He didn't wish to make his friend sick. He is haunted by the fact he made that awful weapon. He wants to get rid of it but can't. Of course that is just one way to look at it."

The woman stood up and placed money on the table. The three just stare at her, surprised at what she had said. She than turned out the door and walked away.

"Wow... I never thought of it that way," William said.

"Yeah. It makes it seem like there is a lot more too it than just what I thought," Matthew mumbled.

"Who was she? Never caught her name," Tim told them.

"Might have been a teacher or something," William pointed out. "Seems like something a teacher would say."

"Maybe," replied Matthew.

"Hey, she left a card here," Tim told the other two, picking it up. "Says 'Always look at the world from different eyes.' Signed Gaia... Is that her name?"

"Gaia is a weird name," Matthew spoke up.

"Wait... isn't that the name of the Greek goddess of the Earth?" William said, going wide eyed.

"You don't think she was..."

The three men stared out the door into a storm. They could see the woman walking with her back to them. She stopped suddenly and turned around. She smiled and placed her hand on her finger before she was gone in a flash of light.
