Birthday (Hetalia)
I meant to post this yesterday... oops
Johanna walked into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She yelped when she was suddenly picked up and spun around the kitchen. When she stopped spinning she looked up to see her older brother Emil looking down at her. She tilt her head in surprise.
"Big Brother?" she asked, a little worried about him. He wasn't the kind of person to pick her up and spin her. It was even weirder that he was grinning at her.
"Don't you know what day it is?" Emil asked her and chuckled when she shock her head.
"It's April 1st," Lukas spoke up. She glanced at the table to see the other Nordics sitting at a table with her favorite breakfast set up.
"It is?" Johanna asked and grinned.
"Yep!" Tino told her, taking his sister from Emil. "We thought you would have a nice little surprise if Emil was the one who did that to you."
"I thought he was sick," Johanna giggled.
"I'm not," Emil mumbled, sitting down.
"Don't be grumpy on Johanna's birthday!" Velvet told her twin, lightly slapping his shoulder.
"No hitting Emil on Johanna's birthday," Mathias chuckled, pulling out a chair. "Now Tino, put the birthday girl in her seat and let's eat!"
Johanna rolled her eyes a little at Mathias. They always did a small party for her in the morning since it was also Mathias' favorite holiday ever since Alfred told him about him. She never minded since Mathias had made a promise to her a long time ago that he wouldn't prank her unless she said he could. They all ate the breakfast, Lukas having to wipe Johanna's face every once in a while. Once done, Tino grinned and kissed the top of her head.
"Ready for your presents?" he asked. Berwald stood up when she nodded. He came back with five wrapped boxes and sat them on the clean spot on the table. She looked up since they usually told her which order to open the presents in.
"Open this one first," Emil told her, pushing a box open.
She opened it and tilt her head. It was a big bag of rabbit food. Why would she need rabbit food when she didn't even have a rabbit? She opened the next box that was a cardboard box filled of toys for a bunny. Each box was something dealing with a rabbit and what you would need to take care of one.
"Why do I need this stuff?" Johanna asked, looking at them.
"Because of your final gift," Matthias chuckled, putting a box on the table. It had holes in it. She looked at the tag and it said it was from the Nordics. She opened it up and gasped.
Sitting in the box was a white and brown rabbit. It looked up at her and jumped out of the box onto her lap. She giggled and caught the rabbit, hugging it tightly.
"You got me a bunny!" Johanna exclaimed, looking up at them. They nodded and she stood up and hugged them all. "Is it a boy or girl?"
"Girl," Berwald told her. "You get to name it." The little girl looked down at the bunny and grinned.
"Snowy," Johanna said.
She smiled and sat on Lukas' lap. She had a wonderful birthday with her siblings and with her new pet Snowy.
