Reymond Island
Day one: Today I just arrived at the Reymond Islands, but I already have a tan. The weather has been perfect, and I have practiced skim boarding. I can't wait for tomorrow! - Karen
Day Two: Couldn't go to the beach today due to some strange construction. I think a storm is coming because I heard some thunder, however tonight I am excited, for our neighbors invited us to dinner, shrimp parmesan.- Karen
Day Three: At the Port's (our neighbors) dinner last night the power went out. I am writing to you in the candle light. I have made sure the attic is flood ready, with blankets, food, water, and candles. I hope the weather gets better before our trip- Karen
Day Four: The beach has been officially closed off. Not sure if it is due to construction of flooding. Today my husband and Mr. Port went out to get some more food and water. When they came back they reported that all they could find were canned collard greens and carbonated water. Guess it will have to do. - Karen
Day Five: Okay, something STRANGE is going on. The Port's son, Billy has disappeared. The power never returned. Collards are all we have now, and carbonated water is sparse. The island is dead quiet. -Karen
Day Six: Nothing is happening. I guess I will tell you about me. I am 42. I am an accountant for a bank and my husband is a congressman. His name is Bob, short for Robert. I have three children, and they are all with me on the trip. My eldest child is a son, and his name is Dylan. He is 14. My middle child is my only daughter, Lily, age 10. Then there is my youngest, Carl. Age 7. Billy was Lily's age. - Karen
Day Seven: Carl is gone! No one can find him! He was playing in the backyard and we heard screams and came out as soon as we could! Everyone is now on edge. I want to get off the island. Dylan and Bob are going to look at the boat dock to try and find a boat for all of us. -Karen
Day Eight: They never came back, it's just me and Lily now. And the Port's have all disappeared. - Karen
Day Nine: I woke up, and Lily was not in her bed. I am ALONE on this strange island. I am starting to not worry. It is a strange thing. I have ran out of collards, and now I must use the little of the stale fruit. - Karen
Day Ten: I now sit in my bed, with you, my diary. I feel myself drifting, away, away, away, away, awa
