Vexon
I don't know what I am even doing at this point
The Dark Elven King sat on his throne, staring down the foolish intruders who came to kill him. The group of five were kneeling in front of the King. Their ankles and wrists were chained together.
The group was made up of a Human, a High Elf, a Tiefling, a Dwarf, and a masked mercenary. Shockingly enough the human seemed to be the leader.
"What possessed all of you to follow a human into my Kingdom?" The King inquired. It was the first time he saw such a group together.
"She has a noble heart." The High Elf spoke up.
"Does she now?" The King leant forward slightly, "And this 'noble heart' of hers, caused her to storm into her King's castle: to kill him?" The King chuckled, "Yes, how very noble indeed."
"You stole that throne! It doesn't belong to you!" The High Elf accused.
"And you?" The King gestured to the mercenary.
"Whoever pays the most, Your Majesty." The Mercenary stated.
"Interesting, you hold no loyalty towards this group of rebels?" The King asked.
The Mercenary shook his head.
"Then, who are you loyal to?" The King signaled to one of his guards. The guard came up behind the kneeling merc and held a sword to his throat. The other members of the group immediately started shouting at the King.
"He had nothing to do with our plans!" The Human yelled, "Please, I only paid him to come with us, I didn't tell him anything. Just leave him alone, please..."
The King ignored the Human and the shouts of the others, "Well?" He prompted.
"Myself." The Mercenary answered.
The King smiled, a dangerous glint in his eyes, "Well, how about this? You swear your undying loyalty to me right now, and I'll let you live."
The Mercenary tilted his head as much as the blade at his throat would allow. "No."
The King chuckled, "I quite like you. In fact, you remind me of someone..." The King brushed his hand over his lips, "Unmask him." He ordered.
The Mercenary froze. He heard a second guard come up behind him. He felt the guards hand on the clasp of his mask. His mask entirely covers his head, his whole outfit ensures not even a sliver of his skin could be seen. 'Shit shit shit.' He should've never taken the job.
The mask slipped off the Mercenary's face. It revealed dark gray skin the same shade as the Kings. His eyes shone violet, and his hair was white, and framed his face nicely.
"Lock him in the tower." The King ordered. 'This day just keeps getting better, and better.'

The merc was thrown into the room at the top of the tower and was promptly left alone and locked in. He shuffled onto his knees and exhaled shakily. Some may call him paranoid, but he personally thinks he's prepared.
He hasn't taken his mask off to do anything but eat (even that he does rarely) in months. The slight breeze hitting his bare face was unsettling. While he wore the mask he was safe, he couldn't find him while he wore it.
He moved his tongue around in his mouth, bringing forth the object he's kept in his mouth for months in case this happened. He hadn't taken it out to eat, nor to sleep. He hasn't told anyone he has it, he hasn't shown anyone, no one even thought to check for it after his capture. Maybe they just didn't think he was well prepared enough (he's not paranoid).
He let his prized object sit on his tongue for a second while he figured out the best way to bend himself to get his hands to his mouth. He decided dropping it and picking it up with his hands was best. He moved his head close to the ground to limit the noise and dropped it on the floor.
He shuffled around until his hand closed around the object. The key. He's kept a copy of the palace 'handcuff key' in his mouth for months to prepare for this. He wiggled around his wrist to get the perfect angle. He wasn't stupid enough to keep straight metal in his mouth for a long period of time. He'd cast a charm on it, to keep the key and his mouth in perfect condition. He heard the little 'click' and moved his hands in front of himself. He made quick work of the other wrist and the ankle chain.
He placed his trusty key back in his mouth and stood up. He stretched his muscles and looked around the room. There was a cot on one 'side' of the circular room, and a bucket on the opposite 'side'. There was a little window that only a cat could squeeze through.
He listened quietly for a few seconds. One guard was posted outside his door. He silently moved towards it. He briefly felt the door. It was reinforced wood. 'I could kick this down.' He moved a few steps away from the door. 'I should take a key to the tower door with me when I leave.' He quickly bounced on the balls of his feet before running at the door and delivering a kick to the center.
The door fell to the ground with a loud bang, successfully crushing the guard underneath it. The merc vaulted over the door landing on the stairs beneath it. He poked around the guards belt until he found the guards keys.
He grabbed what he remembered the tower key to be, quickly enchanted it, and placed it in his mouth. Satisfied, he ran down the tower stairs, not making a sound.

"Now, what to do with you all?" The King asked himself. "Take the Dwarf to the mines, kill the Tiefling, lock up the High Elf, send the Human to the maids." The King ordered.
"No, please don't kill him!" The Human begged.
"Hm, I am feeling rather compassionate today, you returned something of value after all... Send the Tiefling to my slaver."
"Yes Your Majesty." Four guards came and yanked the intruders to their feet. The intruders all shared a look. It was meant for their eyes only, but the King saw it. "If one of them tries anything, kill them all." The King added.
"Yes Your Majesty." The guards bowed and took away the intruders.

A loud bang sounded through the tower. 'Escaping already, are you?' The King thought. He came to a stop at the bottom of the stairs and waited, there was only one way out of the tower.
And soon enough, the Mercenary appeared on the stairs in front of the King. He immediately froze and ran back up the stairs. The King chuckled, and walked up the steps at a leisurely pace.
The King made it to the top of the tower and found the Mercenary standing in the middle of the room.
"Son." The King greeted.
"Father."
"Kneel." The King ordered.
The Mercenary didn't budge.
"Vexon, don't make this more difficult than it has to be."
Vex rapidly thought through all his options, before finding the only sane option. Vex sunk to a knee, one hand over his heart, the other resting on his raised leg. His head was bowed low. He saw his father's feet come closer. He felt his father's hand rest on his head, "Good boy." He praised.
The King withdrew his hand, "Now get up, it'd be unbecoming for anyone else to see the Crown Prince on his knees."
Vex stood up, but he kept his head bowed. The King traced his hands across Vexon's chest, as he moved behind him. "I've missed you so much my little vixen. You and I are going to have so much fun tonight." The King whispered in Vex's ear.
Vex shivered at his father's words. The King moved away from Vex and said, "Don't try to run, you won't escape again. I'll be making an announcement that the people's beloved Crown Prince has returned from his journey overseas. Try to escape, but you won't like the consequences." The King gently pushed Vex forward, Vex got the meaning and started walking. His father was guiding him to his bedroom. He was all too aware of his father's looming presence behind him.
The King gestured to one of the maids cleaning in the area, "See to it that the Prince is ready for dinner tonight." He ordered. The maid curtseyed, "Yes Your Majesty."
Vex entered his room, the maid followed behind him. He heard the retreating footsteps of his father.
"If you would please follow me to the bath, My Prince?" The maid said.
