The moon was bright and the stars were shining. I knew it was going to be an epic hunt. I was ordered by my master to spy on him a few weeks back and I immediately knew this was going to be my most special hunt. He was known to be the best assassin in the realm, but I came close, very close. People often think I'm a boy, but I'm not, I'm a girl. They also think I'm old, but I just turned 17. My targets can never hide their surprise when they see me. But this one is different; one, he is way older than most and two, he already knows I follow him.

I noticed this a week back, when he started to act differently. They were small changes, but I still noticed them. He made his breaks shorter and he tried to follow more sideways. I know he did this on purpose, he wants me to know he knows I'm here. He probably knows I won't back away, but he still hopes. We're close to a big city now, so I know I need to do it tonight and he knows as well. He keeps walking, even though he would have taken a break on a normal day.

I look at him from up the mountain. He's already halfway down, but I will be down soon. Climbing rocks is one of my specialities, the same for archery. I could shoot him right now, but I want to hunt him down. I want to feel the action and the adrenaline of the hunt.

Then I stand up and start to climb down. I climb down fast while keeping an eye on him so I won't lose him. He starts to walk a bit faster, probably because he saw me. I don't try to hide anymore, why would I when he already knows I'm following him. When I'm down he's already further. I curse and start to run a bit. He walks faster than I imagined and because of that he already has a head start. Because I'm running I'm closing in on him and he notices it and because of that he's starting to run as well. I grin a bit and already get one of my knives.

Then I start to run to the side so I can get in front of him. I look to the side and at that exact moment he's looking back and he doesn't see me, so he slows down a bit. I grin a bit more and continue running. When I'm in front of him I go to the side again and climb into a tree. I wait there until he's close and when he doesn't expect me I jump from the tree in front of him. "Hello dad"

I see his shocked expression, but he quickly hides it. "You trained" is the only thing he says. I nod and grin towards him. "Of course I did, it's one of the only things I could do there. And that's all because of you." When I was younger and when he found out I was his daughter he took me to an academy and dropped me there. After that he never came back and soon after he left me there I was bought by my master. "Why? You didn't get so many lessons on the academy, right?" he asks me, not knowing I was sold to another person. "If you would've checked on me you would know I was sold to Sebastian Wild." I spit angry at him.

As soon as I say his name, the expression of my dad changes. "You were sold to Sebstian, the assassin master?" "Yeah, and that's all because of you. If you never left me there I wouldn't have been sold and I would have had a normal childhood." I scream angrily at him. All my frustrations of the last years now comes out because I met the man I've hated for most of my life for 5 minutes. "Why did you do it? Why couldn't you have brought me with you? Were you scared because I was your daughter?" I yell frustrated. "It was to protect you, you don't know how my home situation was. If I would've taken you home you wouldn't have been safe." "So you're saying that training with Sebastian Wild is safe?" I snicker. "I'm not saying that, that wasn't my idea and I'm sorry for that.. You were supposed to stay at the academy and I would have gotten you when you were old enough to defend yourself." I can't help laughing. "Are you fucking serious? You're sorry?"

I don't give him time to answer but charge towards him with my knife. He didn't see it coming, so I managed to give him a scratch. Unfortunately not more, because he reacted faster than expected and he blocked my arm with the knife. He drops all of his stuff and he grabs his own knife. "I don't want to hurt you Celestine" "Don't you dare call me that, it's not your right to do so." "It is my right, I'm your father. Your fucking father Celestine." "You're not my father, you're just some stranger who dropped me off like a burden."

Then I attacked him again. He blocks me, but I immediately charge again. He tries to grab the knife out of my hand, but I don't let him because I hook my foot around his leg. He stabilizes himself and because of that he lets go of my hand. As soon as it's loose I attack with it again and this time I hit him in the shoulder. I pull it out of his shoulder and set a step back. He grabs his shoulder and heals it with his power. "I really don't want to hurt you Celestine, I really don't. You know I will win." I laugh and shake my head. "You can't win against someone who has nothing to lose." "You do have something to lose, you can lose me and you can lose your brother."

I stare at him confused. "What do you mean my brother? I don't have a brother, you're just saying it to save yourself." "I'm not lying to you Celestine, you have a brother who's waiting at home for you and me. I was planning on getting you after I did my mission. My boss agreed because he knows how much I care about you. I've been thinking about you everyday for the last years and I felt so bad for you. I just couldn't get you because it was too dangerous. We were in a war and I didn't want to involve you." I just stare at him in shock and I don't know how to react. "I know this is shocking and I get if you're confused, but please believe me and come home with me. We'll find a way in which we can get you free of the rule of Sebastian, I promise you. Just please, come home with me Celestine and be a family with me and your brother."
