This is a rough adaptation of a play I did in first grade.

Please keep that in mind.

The plot of this story was written by first graders.

Mr Mixer and his best friend The Fly were walking through the candy cane forests. They had just had a lovely time in the soda lakes and had decided to go for a walk. As they strolled along, chatting, a lion stepped out from between two candy canes! Mr Mixer and The Fly gasped. But as they began to back away, Lion spoke up.

"Please don't leave. I just want to be your friend."

Mr Mixer saw the sincerity in Lion's eyes and allowed him to join them. Soon after, in the sugar mountains, the trio met a purple dragon. Unlike Lion, Dragon had no wish to become their friend. But Mr Mixer, The Fly, and Lion were trapped! Then, out of nowhere, in swooped Santa Claus in his sleigh! He called to Dragon, "Stop that! You're not being very nice."

Dragon thought for a minute about what he had been doing and realized that what Santa had said was true. He apologized to the group, and they accepted. Then they all climbed into Santa's sleigh and flew off together.
