"Okay everyone, gather around!!! Do you guys even want to here it?''

''Of course we do mum ! Or else why would I be even here instead of the game room'' said my second child Samantha,she is quite the tomboy. As soon as she says that ,the sound of a heavy wind gushes through the room, which was in fact only the sound of my other four children, in their words hushing Samantha.

All of them were sitting in front of me,from my left to right , in the order from the eldest to the youngest. First you have Micheal,who is 17 years old, then Samantha who is 15, then the twins Dominic and Stefenie who are 13, and Olivia who is 10.

Back to the topic, we all were gathered in our living room to hear the story of how I met the love of my life, Alex.

''Mommie just start already'' said Olivia.

''Okay!Okay! Here we go'' I said. '' I met Alex on the first week of my college. As every other freshmen, I was super exited about college. The only thing stopping from completely relaxing was the big secret that I had. The first week went by easily as it only consisted of introductions for the whole semester and all. I met Alex for the first time in my Literature class, as we were partnered up by our professor. We were supposed to write a play for the Winter Play. I voted myself to be the editor as that was my major and Alex's was writing, so it was a perfect combination. It was supposed to be submitted before the end of the semester and right before the Winter play.''

'' Just get to the interesting part ASAP!! I have tons of zombies to kill'' said Micheal, and obviously Samantha agreed. I swear if it wasn't for their age gap, they could have been twins.

'' Have a little patience my child'' '' The part will not be interesting if I don't tell the whole story'' I said, to which he replied with just a ''whatever''. Kids these days.....

'' So where was I? Yeah! So after class Alex asked me to meet up at the cafe, which later became our ''SPOT''!.''

'' You guys met there each day , soon you guys learnt each other's coffee orders, you started to have a crush on so called ' love of your life' , which lead to many awkward moments bla bla bla bla bla bla!!! Just get going already!'' said Sam.

'' Come on Sam, it is the first time Dom, Stefie and Liv is hearing the story, don't spoil it for them!'' ''Okay!'' replied Sam with a frown. Kids nowadays just want everything soo fast.....don't know what to do with them.

" So as Sam said, I had a crush on Alex and didn't kow what to do. And just like any other girl I choose to do nothing about it.''

''Soon the semester ending came near, and our play was also finished. It was only then that I heard about Alex's desirability. To say I was happy to hear about it, will and was the understatement of the century. Soon after we submitted our play, our professor announced that one of the 3 plays in the winter play was ours!. We were soo pumped up, that I was quite sure we could have ran a whole marathon without sweating.''

'' The winter play came and it was a grand success. And just like that, how the second and almost third year flew is something that I still can't figure out''

'' Well that was because you were crushing on 'your love of your life' that you simply didn't notice the time flying by'' interrupted Sam once again. I was quite surprised Mike had nothing to comment , that's when I saw it. That dork was seeing something on his phone with his earphones on. So as any other good mother, I took the phone from him and gave him the 'I Am So Done With You ' look, he knows better than to argue with that look . He has dealt with the consequences too many times.

'' So as I was saying before Sam ohh so gracefully interrupted me, it was soon the end of the third year, a week before the summer holidays to be exact. We were in the cafe in our 'designated table'. It was after I had balled up all the confidence that I had in confidence to ask Alex out, and I had planned it to do it that day. Before I could start my ' Fully Panned Asking Out Conversation' Alex beat me to it.

'' So , I am not not gonna beat around the bush and just get to it. I have liked you for quite sometime, but I was not sure whether you liked me or not, but I am just gonna take the risk and ask this- Katie will you be my Girlfriend?'' Alex asked.

''At first I was shocked to say anything. When the reality hit me like a brick, I was quite over joyed.'' '' then I relied- I will be more than happy to be your Girlfriend Alexandra!''

'' I knew how much she hated that name, she was always the tomboy, but I liked to tease her sometimes.''

'' That's when I heard the shatter of a big box, when I turned to see I was completetly shocked. There stood my family along with your uncle Jake , who had came to surprise me before his business trip to England plus we were quite close so it was quite normal of him to pop up suddenly . The truth was that no one from my family knew that I was a Lesbian not even Jake. Where as everyone in the campus knew about your mum. ''

'' Why I hadn't told my parents was because , for as long as can remember they made fun and nasty jokes about the gay people so,I was scarred to come out of the closet. I knew Jake would have had my back, but I was still scarred.''

'' Everything after that was a blur, my mum and dad were yelling, Jake was trying to calm them down, my dad then yelling at him ,my parents once again yelling at me, and soon disowning me. Oh, you know just a normal family bonding before summer holidays''

'' Mum, you get irritated when we use sarcasm, and now , you are doing it'' interrupted Mike. Well, it was good to know that he was listening to me.

'' Mike keep talking and there will be no dessert for you'' . he tried to argue back, but he chose to keep quite, good for him., hehehe.

" After the whole disowning fiasco, Alex invited me to stay with her for the summer, her parents were quite good to me. They completely understood my situation ,and didn't even blink before welcoming me to their family. Later I found out that my parents cut me out completely , thank god the fees for the forth year was already paid, or else it would have been difficult, but I still needed money for my tuition and all, so Alex's father who owned a printing press, gave me a summer job as the editor in there. Jake often visited me during and after the summer. And whenever I felt like I don't have a family I just had to remember that I have got a much better family out of this , your mum's parents where always there for me.''

'' After college, I got a permanent job at your grandpa's printing press, and soon I became the main editor. Your mum started writing books which were later published by quite famous publishers. Life was good, then your mum once again had to beat me to propose her.''

'' Soon we got married. It was small ceremony all with our close friends. After 2 years, we decided to adopt kids, and that's when came our little angel, Mike, he was quite a momma's boy back then, would only listen to me, Alex was a little upset about it but soon got over it, that's when we got a offer to adopt another kid. As the members of the LGBTQ COMMUNITY, it was quite difficult for us people to adopt kids''.

'' What is LGBTQ ?'' asked Olivia.

'' Well the L stands for Lesbian, meaning girls who like girls, G is gay,meaning boys who like boys, B is for bisexual, means people who like both genders, T is for transgender, people who were born as one gender but later change it to the other for the emotional and mental comfortability and Q is for questioning, people who is not sure what exactly are they, yet.'' i explained.

'' To continue the story, after Mike we adopted Sam. Mike and Sam, at first you guys were little angels, Mike who always listens to me and Sam who listens to Alex, how you guys became little devils who listens to no one is still beyond us!'' In reply they just poked their tongue at me, and so did I. Quite mature...... I know.........

'' Later we adopted Dom and Stefie and later Liv. The point of the story is that it is quite normal to be a Lesbian, gay, bisexual or the others. It is normal to be different. Do not care what society thinks, that's just how the people are.''

The point of me telling the story was, One- to make them understand about the LGBTQ COMMUNITY, Two- I had told this story to Mike and Sam when they were around 13 so that's why I was telling it to Dom and Stefie and Liv because, her Maths teacher was a lesbian who just introduced her wife to the kids during a school function and Liv was quite surprised, as she thought me and Alex we the only ones, which made her special and all....... Lets just say, her bubble was burst when she came to know about her maths teacher.

Just as I finished the story, my wife came in through the door caring the grocery bags. The kids went to help as she came and sat near me. '' What were you guys talking about?'' she asked.

'' Nothing, just telling them the story of how I was soo blessed to have you as my wife after the fiasco with my parents and everything !'' I replied. She just gave me a ' I Am Too Tired To Deal With Your Sarcasm' look.

'' MOM , DOM BROKE THE EGGS!!!!!''

'' I DIDN'T!! IT WAS LIV!!!''

'' NOOOO, I WAS CARRYING THE VEGETABLES, IT WAS STEFIE AND SAM!!!

'' THANKS FOR THROWING US UNDER THE BUSS LIV!!''

'' ANYTIME SIS!!!!''

My wife and I looked at each other sheepishly, what can we say, it was just another normal day, at this house hold.
