The Prophecy

(Start video)

Did someone order a crappy filler chapter with a side of fries?

They sat in a circle. They had heard about the prophecy, how the three would come and reclaim one of them, but wished to hear it from Di herself. She was the traveling bard who shared it. They waited until she came, guitar in hand. She sat down, joined the circle, and started to sing.

There will come a soldier
Who carries a mighty sword
She will tear your city down, o lei o lai o lord
O lei, o lai, o lei, o lord
She will tear your city down, o lei o lai o lord

The soldier. She was insane, random, and unwanted almost anywhere she went. She caused mischief and misery. Her own sister hated her, and often went to war with her. The most kindhearted despised her, saying she was wrong in all ways. Yet to reclaim the one, the others would welcome her with open arms.

There will come a poet
Whose weapon is her word
She will slay you with her tongue, o lei o lai o lord
O lei, o lai, o lei, o lord
She will slay you with her tongue, o lei o lai o lord

The poet. Not the first one, but when the one before her left, she took her place. Often out of sight, she worked in odd ways- sometimes loved and sometimes hated. Yet she took the time to bring small bit of joy to those around her. From a nice drink after a bad day, to a funny joke when it was most needed, she was a good person to have around. She had the closest connection to the one, and would travel through hell and back to reclaim them.

There will come a ruler
Whose brow is laid in thorn
Smeared with oil like David's boy, o lei o lai o lord
O lei, o lai, o lei, o lord
Smeared with oil like David's boy, o lei o lai o lord

O lei, o lai, o lei, o lord
She will tear your city down, o lei o lai
Oh

The ruler. She was a great princess, always helping others who needed it. She took the time to do extravagant thing for her loved ones. She fought for peace and honor. In her eyes, she was good. In other's, not so much. She was biased after an experience with a sibling. She took the side of someone who she was told to never listen too. Yet she was ready to find the one, to bring them back to their rightful place.

The song ended. Di smiled, picked up her guitar, and walked off into the distance, going to share the message to another group of travelers. Maybe this time she would find the one, and help bring them home.
