So I didn't know how to start this story off correctly..
So I'm not gonna make it a book yet. Not until I get something more concrete

So here's the unfinished version of a book I'm planing to write called, "A Glimpse"

~

A young boy, only around the age of fourteen, stood in a field under a tree. He was depressed, and he was finally ending it. As he put the rope around his beck, and slowly started to push himself off of the chair he was standing on, he heard a voice...

"Stop! Don't do it!"

He turns around and saw a beautiful girl around his age running towards him, her arms outstretched and her eyes wide. HIs eyes widen, as if he suddenly broke from a trance, and scrambled to get the rope off his neck. During his attempt he slipped and started to choke. Seconds later everything went black, the last thing he saw was the girl running towards him...

Liam slowly opened his eyes, looking around. "That dream again?... Third time this week.." He sighed as he sat up, rubbing the tiredness from eyes, as well as the tears. He looked over at his alarm clock, frowning a bit. "6:10... I have to get up in twenty minutes anyways, no point in going back to sleep." He throws the blankets off his body and stand up, walking over to his closet and pulling out some random clothes (The clothes he's wearing in the picture). "Eh, good enough..." He pulls his pajamas on and puts the clothes he picked out on. He grabs his backpack from the ground, and walks down the stairs. "Huh? Where's mom?" He walks in the kitchen, expecting to see her there, but I'd met with just a bowl of cereal and orange juice, and a note. He sits down at the table and takes a bite of cereal, leaning over and reading the note as he ate.

Liam! You're brother and I are going on a trip to your grandma's house because she's not feeling well. We'll be back in about a week, take care! P.S, I left money in the jar in the cabinet, spend it wisely!
Love, mom.

"Oh.. Alright." He shrugged and quickly finished up his breakfast and dumped it in the sink before pulling his shoes on and running out the door.

-

He finally got to school at just the nick of time, as the bell and rung just as he walked into the classroom. He quickly threw his stuff down onto his best and sat down, gently tapping his fingers against the desk as the teacher walked in and started to talk.

"Okay kids, today we'll be..."

-(Sorry that part was so short, I just wanted to put a little more writing in :3)-

Liam walks out of third class and up a few flights of stairs. "Finally, lunch time!" He pushes open the doors to the roof and walks over to a random bench. He places his bag down, and right as he started to sit down he heard sniffling, and someone mumbling. He looks up, and across the roof sees says a girl around his age standing in the railing with her arms spread out. She was shaking, as if she crying. Suddenly, she stuck her leg out and started to fall forward.

"STOP! DON'T DO IT!" Without thinking he rushed forwards, reaching out to grab her. He didn't know why, but seeing her made him think of that dream that he had every night since that one fateful day years ago.

The girl whirled around, her eyes wide. "Wha-" It was too late, she suddenly disappeared from view as she fell backwards off the railing.

Without a second thought, Liam threw himself off the roof, quickly grabbing her arm and flipping them over so she was on top of him. Familiarity struck him once again as he saw her face, but he didn't know why.

Her eyes were closed, but she opened them once felt something under her. "What're you doing?! You're crazy!" She tried pushing herself off of him, but he held onto her tightly.

"You're the one trying to kill yourself, I wasn't about to let frat happen!" He hugged her to him tightly.

"It's none of your business, you don't even-" Suddenly they crashed into the ground, and everything went black for them.

-

Liam woke up in the hospital, a pain almost immediately surging through his body. Memories from what happened earlier filled his mind, and he quickly sat up. "Wh-Where is-"

"I'm here.." A voice said quietly from next to him.

He looked over and saw the girl that he had caught when they were falling. "Are you okay? You didn't get hurt, did you?"

"How are you still so caring when I just broke your arm, and could've potentially killed you?" She didn't meet his look, instead looking at the side.

"I wasn't about to let you kill yourself, you're life is precious and you have so much to live for." He reached out and gently took her hand in is.

"You don't even know me!" She pulled her hand away and glared at him. "You're an idiot for doing what you did, you should've just let me die!" Tears started to form in her eyes as she angrily stood up. "You've never met me before, you don't know anything about me, I'm nothing to you, so why jump off the roof to catch me?!"

And that's all I got.

Here are what they look like:
