She dragged along her weighed down soul through the sunken, sullen streets. It was lit up by amber streetlights which were dimmed down by rain cascading down from the heavens. The flow of water, down her aching body, was like a refreshing breeze to her tired spirit. It washed away her tears that rippled out of her peachy cheeks, and it set free the anguish within her heart.

Her chest tightened, making her feel sick with and within herself. She had just lost the love of her life by one avoidable mistake and now, she was going to bear that regret for as long as she lived.

Her curly hair was now saturated, and instead of luscious chestnut curls, they were now frizzed in tangled like vines, making her resemble the ugliness of what she had done. Her once perfect heart-shaped lips, had a slit in the middle, like the sorrow of her broken heart.
