Foreshadowing

The wild storm that had raged all afternoon lashing the city with rain, had finally died down. As twilight settled, the rising moon (or the golden streetlights) glinted on the rain-slicked city streets. I waited for the bus as the rain trickled down my nose and the splashes of fallen water fell on my boots. I stepped back and sat down inside the bus stop.

Not long, my bus came, and I got on. I sat down on the cushioned seat. My home was not too far away and will roughly take around 20 minutes. I sighed and stared out in the open. The rain was like a blanket on the window. Thousands of tiny droplets refracted the moonlight and was like a crystallised diamond. They were beautifully arranged and were gracefully going down to the bottom. But then, my gaze fell onto the stars above; how they sparkled and shined, lighting up the streets with their magical glow. I fell in love and continued to admire their perfection.

They were twirling all around, dancing in the night and they led the way of the bus to my destination. I decided to take my eyes off them for a moment and focused on my surroundings. There were not that many people at this time of night, a couple was sleeping with their heads leaning onto each other and some children with their parents. The bus was moving slowly, and the vibrations were soft and calming. They felt nice and I felt very comfortable in my seat. The lights flickered on and off as the bus went over some speed bumps and the sound of the wheels was almost an eerie sound.

Soon, the sky darkened. Clouds covered the ground. The air became thicker and inside the bus became gloomier. I started to grow afraid but tried to stay calm.

Unfortunately, nothing could prepare me for what was about to happen.

A flash of lightning came out of nowhere and struck down a tree ahead. The driver had to make a hard turn and I hit my face against the window. I held it as the hissing pain went through my veins. Not long after that, another bolt of lightning magnified in the sky followed by the roar of thunder. I screamed in fright and tried to block the sound from my ears, but it kept getting louder and louder.

I then had to get off because I was at my stop and it tried to walk as quickly as possible to my house. However, the thunder resounded throughout the atmosphere and crows started flying all the way into mid heaven. It was an unholy sight to see. Lightning clashed into buildings with the cackling of the bird reapers. The finale was the clouds burst open and out came rain and hail.

I started to run and covered myself. The hail was painful to the touch and the rain stinged my eyes and made my skin burn. I think it was acid rain. I picked up my legs and ran faster until I reached a burning building which was my home....

It lookedlike it got struck by lightning and fire was blazing out of it. I dropped to myknees and started to cry heavily. I cried and cried and just then, a burning figurecame flying out in one of the windows. I was in pure shock as the person was burntto the crisp and I think it was my little sister....

A/N: i can't believe how much i made this escalate... anyway i hope you enjoyed.
