Mother?
The rain was pouring down onto me and made my dark brown hair flatten. The wind began to howl and the air grew cold. Standing over the grave, I could see my mother's name carved into the stone. It said, "Sara Bloom. A loving daughter, mother and wife." A tear trickled down my cheek and soon I couldn't stop them from flowing down my face. I could remember every day we spent together like it was yesterday like the time when she used to take me on holidays to see the world. I also remember her light brown hair that went up to her elbows and her emerald green eyes that was filled with joy and wonder. Although, those memories were soon slipping out of my reach and I knew when they did, I could never get them back. Suddenly, my phone binged and when I saw who texted me, I couldn't believe my eyes and what I was seeing. It was from ... my mother!
Wiping the tears away, I read the text. It said, "I know this must be hard for you to understand, but I am very much alive. I will be able to explain everything, but you have to meet me at the park we always used to go to at 9:00pm. I really want to see you, please come. –Mother." I took a deep breath in and one back out. I didn't know what this text could mean, but if there was a chance for me to see my mother again, I had to take it. I started to walk away from the grave, but I then started to wonder. If my mother wasn't in that grave (and this text was real), who was? I turned around and stared back at it, but decided to see whether my mother was really alive before I made any calls to the police I started to walk and walk with different emotions in my mind. Finally, after so long of wanting to see my mother again, I was.
Walking down to the park, I was wondering if my father was starting to get worried. I didn't tell him I was going to meet mother: he doesn't like the idea of mourning the dead and I knew if I told him, he would try to talk me out of it. BANG! I turned around and saw a group of people closing their car doors. That's when I realised how nervous I was and the fear of seeing my mother again started to creep in. Then, I looked up and saw her sitting on the park bench that was surrounded by two trees. Her hair was now a dark black and went up to her shoulders. Her eyes were no longer filled with joy, but only sadness and her face was a ghastly pale colour. I walked over there and when she saw me, she wrapped her arms around me which gave me a feeling of warmth. She eventually let go and I said, "Is this really you?" She nodded. My mother was alive, but the smile she had quickly disappeared from her face as she told me to look down at her stomach. When I did, I could see that she was covered in something red that then hit my nose with a rotten smell. It was blood! I got my mother back just so I could lose her all over again and this time, for good.
