Dawn watched her little brother Fern from the couch. Fern was chewing on one of his baby toys, his teeth were still growing after all, and was squirming around his small playpen. Dawn looked at her dad and mom, Chris and Angelo, in the kitchen. She groaned dramatically and as loudly as possible, making Fern stop playing and look at her.

Chris stopped washing dishes as he looked over at Dawn. "What's wrong?" He asked, handing another plate to Angelo to dry. Dawn pointed at Fern, "I wanna teach Fern how to talk again!" Fern blinked at her before going back to chew on his toy. Dawn got off the couch and leaned against his playpen, "I want him to say my name!" Chris raised his eyebrow before looking at Angelo. "Only if Fern wants to honey!" Angelo promptly told her, putting the dishes away. Dawn pouted before looking at Fern.

Fern was happily chewing on his toy, not even paying attention to her. Dawn whines at him, chittering unhappily, causing him to look at her, chittering back. Dawn perks up and clicks at him, pushing her head against the playpen bars. Fern dropped the toy, crawling over to her, pushing his head against hers through the playpen bars. Dawn hums happily before looking up, "Okay! He wants to now!!"

Chris clicks disapprovingly, he watched the entire ordeal, but had a sense of pride as he walked over to her and picked Fern up from the playpen. Angelo whistled approvingly, "That's amazing! How'd she do that?" Fern chittered at Chris happily, pushing his face against his chest. Chris cooed and chittered back before looking at Angelo. "It's an animal thing. I'm surprised she knows it... then again, she's my daughter" he puffed out his chest in pride. Angelo smiled and chuckled, "Yeah she is~" Chris sat down on the couch before looking around, "Where's Lucifer?"

Angelo pointed to their bedroom immediately. "He's sleeping. He had to work 24/7 in hell. He's catching up on sleep he missed." Chris immediately laughed and turned back towards his kids, "Okay then. Let's help Fern talk"

Dawn, who was sitting impatiently next to Chris, cheered and grabbed his arm. "Finally!! I wanna get the book!! I wanna get the book!" Chris nodded at her, "Okay, Okay" Dawn squealed before hopping off the couch and running towards her room. Angelo smiled, sitting down next to Chris, "She's such a good sister" he commented and cooed at Fern, who cooed back.
