{Sonic's Pov}

Me, Shadow and Silver were headed towards Eggman's newest base, to stop his plan

We were in green hill zone, it's hard to miss his base considering it in the middle of the zone

We got ready to attack any robots but, there was nothing there, the door was wide open as well

" Faker it could be a trap " Shadow growled

" I know that.......wait I hear something " I said as my ears perked up, I heard faint music coming from the building in front of us

" is that " Silver started with a confused look

I only nodded in response, I started to walk down the corridor in front of me, with Shadow and Silver following

I stepped on a pressure plate and gun fire was shot at us, bullets nearly hit me but Silver used his telekinesis to stop them inches from my head

" watch were your going Faker " Shadow growled at me, as he leaned against the wall, but triggered something

The floor under our feet disappeared, and a pool of water was at the bottom of pit

Silver was to slow to realise we were falling, we splashed into the water

I started to panic, Silver was panicking slightly as Shadow scolded himself

My head was barely above the water, I felt something wrap itself around my ankle, a small gasp escaped my mouth as I was pulled under

I struggle to get free, but it wrapped around both my wrists, my other foot and my waist, I tried harder but my vision started to blur, I couldn't breathe

Just before I blacked out, I saw a flash in front of me, and I could barely make out Shadows figure

{Shadow's Pov}

I heard Faker gasp before he was dragged under by something, I pulled out my Emerald and grabbed Silver

I Chaos controlled out of the pool of water, with Silver, then Chaos controlled to Sonic, I could only just feel his Chaos Energy to get to him, when I got to him he was blacking out

I grabbed him but he was still being dragged down, I look at him he wasn't awake and I started to frantically pull the thing off of his ankles, then wrists and his waist, when he was free the thing tried to grab him again

I kicked it away then Chaos controlled back to Silver, I In hailed deeply, I looked at Sonic, he wasn't breathing

" Silver help me here " I yelled, as I got up and put my hands on his chest and pushed gently

Silver had his hand near Sonic's neck checking for a pulse as I continued to push on his chest

After a few minutes I was about to give up when Faker started to cough up water and gasp for air

I sigh in relief along with Silver, I pull Sonic up and make sure he can breathe properly

" y-you -s-sho-uld l-loo-k we-where yo-ur go-going " Faker coughed as he glared at me

" well I just saved you life " I growled at him

" well he wouldn't of been in any danger if you followed your own advice " Pothead glared at me as he growled, I didn't reply, I made a mistake and Sonic nearly payed the price

" sorry " I mumbled as I got up, Silver stood as well, Faker tried to stand but his legs gave out, I sighed and helped him up

We all stayed quiet until we hit three ways we could go

{Silver's Pov}

Shadow actually said sorry, wow never expected that, but now we've hit a fork in the road, great

" w-what do w-we do " Sonic was still having some trouble breathing

" we'll have to split up " Shadow stated

" do you really think that's a good idea considering Sonic is about to pass out " I stated as I glared at him

" I-I'll be f-fine " Sonic said as he moved away from Shadow and towards the middle hallway

I couldn't help but feel worried, he nearly drowned and looks as if he will black out any minute, only now did I notice the bruises on his ankles, wrists and waist

" oh, uhh if you need help just call us ok " I said as I got worried, he turned around and gave me a thumbs up with his famous smirk

I rolled my eyes and went right waving to Shadow as he walked left, as I walked down the corridor, the lights suddenly shut off, I looked around and kept my guard up, but I ended up getting knocked out

{Sonic's Pov}

I was walking down the path, when my ears perked up, I heard movement from in front of me, the lights switched off and I was left in darkness

I looked around frantically hoping I was imagining the sound, I looked ahead of me again and saw glowing red eyes

Crap Metal, the lights switched back on and he was in front of me, I gasped as he threw me into the wall

The air got knocked out of me, upon impact, Metal lunged at me, but I dodged just seconds before he hit me

He flexed his razor sharp claws and lunged at me again, I knew I couldn't fight him so a kept dodging as I ran

I soon hit a dead end, I only just moved out the way as Metal grazed my fur, I didn't know what to do

I felt dizzy for a split second, but I then found myself pinned to the wall by Metal, I felt his hand trace from my chest to my stomach, I felt him pause at my side

I felt him plunge his claws into my side, I screamed in pain, before he twisted his hand, and I gasp

I just stood there as he pulled out his bloody metal hand and fell to the ground when he dropped me, I saw him disappear in a doorway

{Shadow's Pov}

I had been walking down this stupid hallway for about half an hour, until I heard a bloody scream, it sounded like Faker

F*?#

I started running back the way I came, but Metal Sonic appeared in front of me, one of his hands was dripping with fresh blood, I can only guess who's it was

" What the hell did you do " I growled, I knew he wouldn't answer me but can you blame me?

He lunged at me, and slashed at my chest, I narrowly missed his attack

I heard something powering up behind me, I turned and got shot in the chest by some sort of laser, I stumbled back and collapsed to the ground, the last thing I saw was Metal's feet

{Silver's Pov}

When I woke up my head thrived in pain, I opened my eyes only to see darkness, once they adjusted to the dimness of the room I found myself in a cell

I got up and took a step forward, which I tripped, I look at my feet only to find that my ankles were chained to the floor

I look around and see that, the wall with the door is made out of iron bars, I look past them and see that Shadow is trying to break the bars

" Shadow, what happened the last thing I remember is being hit on the head " I asked, it startled him because he jumped a little

" shut up unless you want to attract that psychotic robot " Shadow said with a hint of worry in his voice

" where's Sonic " I asked, he immediately stiffened at the question

" honestly I don't know, but before I got knocked out, I heard him screaming in pain, and when I faced Metal he had blood on one of his hands " there was regret, worry and sadness in his voice

" well we have to get out and look for him " I said frantically

" it's a suicide mission, Metal Sonic has completely lost it " I heard Eggman say in the cell next to me, I blink in surprise

" what the hell are you doing in your own prison " Shadow growled

" Metal Sonic's malfunctioned again but this time it's more serious, he won't stop until Sonic stops breathing " he said with worry laced in his voice

" and why do you care " I ask bewildered

" because I've alw-" he was interrupted by a scream that made my blood run cold, I look over at Shadow and see him panicking and charging into the bar, I started to do the same

{Sonic's Pov}

When I awoke I was in pain, I could barely move, I looked up and saw Metal in front of me and I panicked

He noticed I was awake and came towards me, I noticed my wound from when he attacked me was still bleeding

Metal crouched down in front of me and slashed his claws across my chest, I screamed in pain as he dug his hand into my right leg

I was losing too much blood that I started to breath heavily, I was getting dizzy, I knew I couldn't fight back, I knew I'd never tell Shadow and Silver that I loved them, not that they'd care anyways

I gasped as I felt something go into my chest where my heart was, even if i made it through my other wounds I couldn't make it through this one, I started coughing

I was in a puddle of my own blood, I couldn't feel anything, I couldn't hear anything, and everything was blurry

But I did feel someone pick my up and put me in their lap, it was warm and I felt cold all over

{Shadow's Pov}

I had gotten out of those cells and got Silver out as well, I left Eggman behind as me and Silver ran to find Sonic and that basted

We ran to the control room and my heart skipped a beat, Metal was nowhere in sight but......Sonic was lying in a puddle of blood and he was barely breathing or even awake

No.....no no no!! I can't lose him to, I ran over to him and placed him in my lap, Silver ran over as well

" h-hey!! Stay with us!!" I shouted as I made him look at him, my voice broke, he obviously couldn't hear me, because his eyes were slowly closing

" SONIC PLEASE!!" Silver yelled as tears fell, Sonic didn't answer or even show any signs that he heard him

" please stay awake, I need you!" I shouted, I felt a wet liquid slipping down my cheeks and I didn't care, not one bit

Silver was now holding Sonic's hand as tears fell

" Please...I love you..." Silver whispered

But Sonic's eyes continued to close and his breathing was getting slower, I felt my heart breaking, I couldn't do anything to help him

Blood was staining mine and Silver's fur, his blood

I felt his Chaos energy flowing into the land around us, he just kept getting weaker and weaker

" please stay awake, I-i love you....." I cried as I held him in my arms, a Chaos emerald fell out of his quills, I stared at it

I looked at Silver and grabbed it quickly and closed my eyes and focused on healing him as much as I could

I felt the Chaos emerald in my quills react to what I was doing, when I opened my eyes a few minutes later, he wasn't breathing and his eyes were closed, my heart stopped, until he started coughing and gasping, I look him up and down the only wound I had heard was the one were his heart was, he was unconscious and still barely breathing

" CHAOS CONTROL!!" I shouted as I grabbed Silver as well, we landed in the hospital and were immediately crowded by doctors and nurses

Sonic was immediately rushed to emergency, me and Silver were told to wait and get cleared up

[Hours later]

Me and Silver were in the waiting room, with Sonic's friends and that pink devil as we waited for someone to come

" hello are you all here for Maurice Sonic Hedgehog?" A female fox with pink fur and Brown eyes asked

" yes, how is he?" Knuckles was the first one to ask

" he lost a lot of blood and the wound on his leg, we are unsure if he'll be able to run, let alone wake " She frowned

" oh......" Knuckles frowned along with everyone

" this is all your fault!!" Amy screamed at us

" how is this our fault?!" Silver shouted

" because you did both to help him!!" She hissed

" if I didn't use the chaos emeralds we had, then he would be dead, Metal ambushed us and Sonic was already wounded because I triggered a trap and something dragged him underwater " I snapped

" Miss Rose, they are the ones who brought Maurice here in the first place " the fox stated

" why are you calling him Maurice?!" Amy growled

" that's his name, Maurice Sonic Hedgehog, he came from Stony Fields, his parents and Uncle were killed and I found him on the river back freezing to death " Knuckles stated

The fox nodded, another nurse came in a panic

" he's awake, but isn't responding " he stated with a frown

" can we see him? We might be able to help?" Silver asked

" yes but only you three " the fox pointed to me, Silver and Knuckles, we stood and followed her to a room were we saw Sonic and a doctor trying to talk to him

" Sonic?" I asked, he looked at me and so did the doctor who stood up and went to speak with Knuckles

" how are you feeling?" Silver asked with a frown

Sonic just looked away and out the window

" the doctors said it's a miracle I'm alive, but I don't understand, Metal punctured my heart......I should be dead " was his reply

I sighed and sat on the bed next to him, while Silver did the same on the other side

" Sonic......I used the Chaos emeralds we had, you weren't responding when we got to you, I couldn't lose you.....I love you..." I sighed as I looked away

" you.....love me?" I heard Sonic say slowly

" we both do, I've loved you from the day we met, but I was blinded by rage to realise " Silver said

I turned and looked at Sonic, I noticed he was looking down while........blushing?

" are you-" I was cut off when Sonic kissed me and Silver

" I-I love you both as well.." Sonic was blushing more, me and Silver were blushing as well

" well " we all heard Knuckles voice and looked at him, he was smirking

" shut up!" Sonic whined as he blushed more

[a few months later]

Sonic got out of hospital a week ago, we had found out he won't be able to walk again, he was depressed slightly but still happy that we were with him

In all honesty I'm glad he didn't die before we told him
