Hyper sat silently with Dark, who had brought him back to the centre of the void where the three parts met and blended into one, there were no words spoken between them as they waited, the tears were still falling from Hyper's dull tyrian purple, Dark felt guilty when he glanced at Hyper who sat cross legged

"Hyper I-" He was cut off when Hyper looked at him and shook his head

"Don't feel guilty, this isn't your fault and it'll never be..." Hyper spoke, there was an unexpected maturity to his tone, one that made him look and sound far older...but empty too...

Silence rang out between them as there was nothing left to yet talk about, only when some of the others came was the silence broken, namely by Were and Dark Spine's arguing and Excalibur's concern for the hyperactive hedgehog who remained quiet, eventually everyone had arrived, most of them were annoyed that they had to go looking for him

"why is it whenever this brat disappears we have to go looking for him" EXE growled as blood dripped from his eyes like tears

"I've never asked anyone to go looking for me" Hyper spoke, the first words he had said since Dark had found him out in the abyss, but his voice sounded empty and dead, it surprised everyone, even EXE and Demon

"Tsk, and you want an award for that?" EXE growled, but received no reply as Hyper looked away from him

"What the hell is your problem EXE?!" Super glared and clutched his hand into a fist

"The problem is that immature kid, who thinks he can get the attention he wants by running off!" Demon growled as he got in front of EXE and glared daggers at Super who glared right back

"I haven't been myself lately, I don't blame you for not wanting to stay. Saying things that I don't mean, not meaning what I say." everyone stopped as they turned to Hyper, who looked at them all with a bright smile, but the tears running down his cheeks suggested his emotions other wise "When it's good, it's so good, when it's bad, it's SO BAD. 'Maybe I REALLY have gone mad!' What am I supposed to say, when I end up driving everyone away?"

no one had anything to say as they looked at him, he just kept smiling, but it was wavering as he sang, he knew he'd have to tell them, tell them about the blood, about the pain, but he knew they wouldn't care

"Cause, I am on fire, a crying, burning liar, Seeing nothing, nothing, but myself, and I'm the one with the lighter. Every inch of me is charred, god, what happened to my heart? I'm about to fall apart, again, again." his smile had faded as he looked away from them and looked down at his limbs as phantom scars found their way onto his skin, and he felt nothing for them, but the tears kept falling "And you're never coming back. And I'm not okay with that, and I should've never, let myself get attached, again, again" it was no longer aimed at them as the thoughts of someone long gone entered his mind and more tears fell "What's done is done, and nothing's gonna change. I should be moving on, but I still feel the same. And it's like every day is a fight for my life to get some self control, and when you've forgotten who I am, it just feels, it just feels.... I'm nobody at all." he couldn't tell what was real anymore as his memories of another time clouded his mind, he hadn't realised it either, he'd lost the grip on his powers and now everyone around him couldn't stop tears from falling down their cheeks as Dark tried to help calm him down but it was no use

"I lost myself hitting the ground, I tried to scream and made no sound. I should have known, It was no use to try and run from the cycle of abuse, the cycle of abuse" He stood there in a puddle of blood as a blurred figure stood with bloodied hands, he couldn't recognise them, but he knew who it was "I am on fire, a crying, burning liar, seeing nothing, nothing, but myself, and I'm the one with the lighter. Every inch of me is charred, god, what happened to my heart? I'm about to fall apart, again, again"

"Hyper!" Dark tried snapping him out of whatever he was seeing but it was no use, he couldn't hear them

"And you're never coming back, and I'm not okay with that, and I should've never let myself get. Every inch of me is charred, god, what happened to my heart? I'm about to fall apart, again, again" Images of a caring smile crossed Hyper's mind as he stood there, he couldn't move as the tears kept falling, he shouldn't exist, he didn't deserve the friendship he had offered or the love that they had "And you're never coming back, and I'm not okay with that, and I should've never let myself get attached, again, again..."

he was finally snapped out of it when EXE grabbed him by the wrists and pulled his forward, the tears kept falling, but Hyper saw they look in EXE's eyes and found the same look in everyone else's 

"Hyper?" Super frowned as he and Dark got down next to him, the tears had stopped falling from their eyes as Hyper regained control of his powers, but his fur had turned grey and his eyes a darker colour of purple, he looked down, but when he looked back up at them, he looked far older than they new him to be and the smile on his face was empty and meaningless, but there was something darker and twisted behind it
