A Shifter's True Form

Main OC: Felicity Nasir
Side OC: Roland Tannyll

Felicity glanced around before heading out into the woods, making sure no one saw her leave first. She rubbed her arm lightly as she walked through, hoping to find what she was looking for soon.

"Glad you finally decided to show up," a man spoke up from behind one of the trees ahead of her.

She let out a shaky breath and stepped around the tree to see Roland leaning back against, dressed in freshly cleaned armor and tattered cape, with his light blond hair brushed to the side as usual and a small smirk on his lips.

"I couldn't find an opening to get away," she muttered as she turned her gaze to the ground, "...he really wanted to show off."

"Then pick someone a little less interested next time, or make up some excuse to leave," he said, "I have a lot of work to do here and I can't get started without the information you are supposed to find."

"Okay," was all she said in reply.

"Now, what did you find out?"

Felicity bit her lip lightly in hesitation, and Roland seemed to sense her hesitate almost immediately because the next thing she knew he had her pinned against a tree with his hand grasping her throat, her eyes widening in surprise and fear.

The moment he touched her, her features suddenly changed. Half of her right eye turned to green and the other half remained a light blue, as her left went from the blue to a light shade of red with black inking in from the center. Three short scars formed over her right eye as her hair went from a light brown to black with random streaks of blond, brown, and dark red. Her image had changed over the years, she earned a new feature every time she shifted into a new appearance for an extended amount of time. She called it a curse that most shapeshifters have.

Roland scowled at her natural appearance, "The only reason I allow a creature like you to continue living is because you can be useful in getting information out of people. A lot of men open up to a pretty face, and you can change yourself to have one. Now, if you aren't going to give me the information I want, I will no longer have use for you."

Felicity had started shaking, she was used to his threats, but they always scared her, especially since he'd direct an arrow at her heart if she showed up with any weapons on her.

"Now, are you going to tell me what I want to know?" he asked, and she gave a faint nod in response. He released her throat and took a short step back, her features changing back to those she'd been using to hide her more unnatural appearance and scars.

"All of their dragons are kept in the barns," she muttered, "They separate the sick and injured ones."

"I need more about the healthy ones, they'll be the hard ones to kill."

Felicity gave a small nod, "I'll have to go back in," she told the dragon hunter.

"Meet me back here tomorrow night," he ordered, "And don't take so long this time."
