Kaxie smiled."Cool! So are you blood relatives or adopted?" Kaxie asked. Holly gave her a confused look."What's a blood relative?" she asked. Kaxie eyes widened. That was a mistake. Holly must be adopted or else she would've known what blood relatives are.

"Hey!" Kaxie turned to her right. The kid with poofy black hair, Jasper, was looking up at her. He had a giant smile plastered on his mixed skin."What's your name stranger?" Jasper asked.

Kaxie smiled."My name is Kaxie. With a K." Kaxie answered."Cool!" Jasper said."Hey, can we play outside?" Jasper asked. Kaxie had no idea who the question was directed towards: her or Holly.

Holly licked her little ginger paw."As long as Lili is watching you two." Holly answered. Jasper yelled a 'yay' as he raised a fist in the air. Kaxie smiled at this gesture. It reminded her why she's the way she is.

But, at the same time the small gesture forced Kaxie to tear up. Something....Felt lost in her heart. Something that's been gone for so long that's it's starting to hurt her deep inside. She doesn't know what it is, but she knows it's close to her.

Jasper ran towards the front door. Kaxie slow walked by his side. She kept in note that these species are incredibly slow compared to her. Just before opening the door, Jasper halted.

Kaxie stopped by his side. He turned to face her."Hey Aunty Lili," Jasper began,"can we play with Kaxie's sword?" Lili shrugged."Sure." She said."Yeah I accidentally left a portal open and now I think...WAIT A SECOND, WHAT!?"

Artemis's loud booming voice yelled from across the room. Kaxie And Jasper turned just in time to see Artemis, the man with the strange discolored ears, running up to them.

"Jasper you cannot play with a sword!" Artemis yelled. "Awwww, but why?" Jasper whinned. Artemis flung his hands in the air."Cause it's a freaking sword!" he yelled again."Well, can I play with my sword?" Kaxie asked.

"No! Actually, why in the world does a ten year old have a sword!? Where did you get that sword!?" Artemis asked."Thrift shop." "Who leaves a sword at a thrift shop!?" Kaxie shrugged, smirking at the excuse she used.

"Can we play with the thrift shop sword Dad? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase?" Jasper asked. Artemis closed his two mismatched eyes."Yes," Jasper smiled, his eyes almost gleaming with happiness,"but your not allowed to touch it." Artemis finished.

At that moment, the twinkling in Jasper's eyes faded. He folded his arms over his chest."Okay, fine. Thanks Dad." Jasper mumbled. Artemis nodded, then looked at Kaxie.

Kaxie jumped at the sight of his discolored eyes. She felt calm looking at them. She felt that strange feeling again. What was it? She cannot remember the name of it. Artemis smiled at her, which made her heart leap.

He opened his mouth to say something, but just before Artemis had time to say anything Jasper was pulling Kaxie out of the room."Come on Kaxie! Let's play!" Jasper begged.

Kaxie snapped out of her strange trance. She looked over at her sword and grabbed it on the way out. She made sure to walk the slowest she can since the world's gravity here is really slow compared to her home world.

Out on Robins front yard, Kaxie slanted her eyes at the blazing light. She tipped her hat down, causing it to fall on her face. She let out a small cry of alarm. Dropping her sword, she wrestled with her hat trying to get it to stand back on her head.

Suddenly, the hat was lifted off her head. Kaxie blinked her crimson eyes till they adjusted to the light. In front of her was Jasper with her hat. He smiled."Isn't it hot with that coat and hat on?" he asked.

Kaxie smiled."Yeah. Hold on, let me take them off." she said. She too off her coat and grabbed her hat from Jasper. She placed them next to the door. She went back to grab her sword when she saw Jasper holding it.

He was holding it with ease as it is not that heavy of a sword. He swung it around a little, then put it over his shoulder. He smiled triumphantly as if he did something good too. Kaxie's heart sank.

She rushed over to Jasper, snatched her sword from his hand, and was examining it closely. Blood covered it's markings that were engraved into the sword. Worry bursted inside of Kaxie.

Before she could react, she was hearing a wailing sound from Jasper. She turned to look at him. His back was covered in crimson. Kaxie wondered what had caused it, till it hit her.

She caused it. Her movements were so quick that she slashed him without thinking. Kaxie dropped her sword in a instant. She needs to get bandages. Without thinking of revealing her abilities, she ran across the planet.

She looked around for a nearby pharmacy under twenty-five thousand miles. After a short run, she found a girl running with bandages in her hand. Kaxie bit her lip. She hates doing this.

She rushed towards the girl and snatched the bandages from her. Once in her hands, she rushed back towards the house. Trying to remember the way back, her run to to a soft jog, then a fast pace walk.

"Oh my gosh! JASPER!!" Artemis's voice rang in Kaxie's head. She turned to her left and found Jasper. He was hurled on the ground. Artemis, Holly, Lili, and Robin were rushing to his side.

"Kaxie! What are you doing on the road!?" Robin called while she rushed back inside.  Kaxie rushed to Jasper's side, brushing off what Robin had said. Jasper was moaning, his face covered in a mixture of blood and tears.

Artemis was by his side, trying to calm the boy down. He turned to look at Kaxie. There was something on his face. Grief, fear, and anger. Kaxie stared at him. He lowered his ears. "You did this to him, didn't you!?" he growled. Kaxie gulped down.

"I- I did-" "Leave her alone Artemis! This was probably a accident!" Lili said. Artemis flickered his mismatched ears. He continued to give Kaxie a glare of anger. Kaxie could feel something I'm her heart break. That sense of good breaking.

She needed to help. She handed the bandages to Artemis."Here, I got these for you." She said. Artemis looked at them, then grabbed them. Artemis looked at them hard.
"These well have to do." He growled.

He began to wrap them around the young boy. Kaxie gulped down. Maybe it's time for to leave. She walked over to her sword. She picked it up and put it back in its rightful place. She then walked to the front porch and grabbed her coat and top hat.

Robin opened the door."I called the ambulance! They should be here soon!" Robin said, rushing towards the young boys side. Kaxie watched them, then sighed. Here is another example of what she did wrong.

She destroyed another family for being in their presence. She began to walk away. Picking another world to go on, she began to acknowledge what she's been feeling all along.

She's been homesick. And Artemis has been giving her the feeling of home. Safety. Security. Kaxie sighs. She walks away, then enters a new world. She looks up to see something that shocked her.

This world....It isn't supposed to look like a war zone. It's supposed to be all alright. A small town here and there and one big one somewhere, but no. It's just empty fields of dead bodies.

Kaxie looked at it in worry. What is going on? Is this because of what she did. Kaxie has to go back. But maybe before she does, she should have a look around....
