It was a weird feeling surging through my veins, my blood rushing with adrenaline. I could see the blinding light fill my vision, that feeling of energy rushing through. I could faintly see my family looking at me, seeing my intent, and knowing I was going to do something that was going to keep them out of danger. I was going to take that step into insanity and give myself for so many.
I felt everything I knew fall to the ground, sinking there with my feelings. I never thought that it would all come to this. All the things I went through, this was how I was going to end it. I felt myself, numb of feelings knowing I was going to save many lives, as I rose my hand high in the air, screaming at the top of my lungs, "Me...". Everyone was screaming at me, screaming no. People were trying to reach me, trying to pull me away. My family staring on from the sidelines, crying tears of sadness and wearing the sad smile of pride. They knew they were going to loose me, but they also knew that I wanted to save people, they were proud of me. Terrified screams echoed through the hall as everything in my vision went red, I could no longer see my families tears or smiles. I felt alone as my head was filling with memories from the past, my life passing before my eyes.
"Jason! Get back here!" I heard my little sister yelling at me as I had taken her doll and was running down the hallway. I could hear her little footsteps sound through the hallway, chasing after me, wanting her precious doll back. I felt pain in my back, it was real pain, as I fell to my knees and my sister grabbed her doll and ran off laughing at how weak I was. I could hear her door slamming shut and locking so I couldn't get back in. It was like a gun going off and reloading.
"Jason? Can you get me my knife from the closet?" My dad was yelling at me from the other room. I got up from the couch and looked in his closet. It had all his hunting gear in it; I grabbed his knife and left for the dining room. I walked in and heard a gunshot. It was too quick for my body to realize, and I felt a sharp pain in my right shoulder. I fell to my back, the knife falling out of my hands making a clinking noise as it hit the ground. "Shít! Jason?! Caren call 911!" That was all I heard my dad scream before I passed out. It was, once again, like a gun going off and reloading.
"Hey, Jase, what up my dude?" My best friend Kyle walked in my bedroom door. "Nothing much, what bout you?" He had an evil smirk on. "Oh nothing much. Just THIS!" He screamed as he punched me hard in the jaw as my consciousness slipped away and I fell into darkness. It reminded me that no one really cares, everyone has a bad side, an insane side.
"Jason? Hey you okay?" My older sister ask as I sat on the ground sharpening my knife. I just nodded, but she knew something was wrong. "What's wrong? You can't fool me, I know your in pain." I just shrugged and she stood up and pulled me to my feet. I felt pain in my left knee. "Owwwww!" I picked up my left leg and put all my body weight on my right. "See! I knew something was wrong! What happened?" I just shrugged. She slapped me in my shoulder playfully as she started pulling me inside, letting me lean on her. "It was during football practice. A teammate slammed his head into my knee, I think it's broken." She frowned. "Well, we're just going to have to help that, aren't we?" She chuckled slightly setting me in a chair. It made me realize, she cared for my heath, she cared for me.
"JASON!!!" My mom screamed as I came in covered in mud. I gave her a sorry face as I tried to walk on the hardwood, but I slipped and fell, falling backwards. I found myself at the bottom of the stairs, my head feeling like it was busted open. I started crying as my mom made it down the stairs. "I'm sorry mom, I didn't mean to." I sobbed as she sat me up and hugged me, holding the back of my head. "Don't worry Jason, it's not your fault." It made me think, they will forgive me.
Those memories faded off, the pain still staying, The present coming back into my misty vision. My memories were flooding in as more shots were heard and my body was punctured. I started crying, laying here. I knew I was saving so many lives, by giving my own. My feelings flooded the tile floor as my last thoughts filtered through my head, and I heard one last voice, my mothers.
"I love you, Jason! I'll see you one day my boy! Promise you'll be waiting for me?!" I smiled as my last thoughts took over my head.
My life had led to this, I was strong, I was brave, I was confident, and I will always be loved.
My feelings disappeared as I remembered my mothers last words, "I love you, Jason." I love you too mom. I smiled as everything slipped away and all became...
Black.
