Hey! I know I haven't been back in a while, but here I am with another contest entry. The contest is by mundenpoint, so go check it out to probably win against me!

Ok so most of the demon names, the really weird ones, I found from a site, so if you look them up, you'll probably find the site. That is if you really want a ok explanation of what the different types of demons are in this short story!

     Makieni's POV

I found myself at the entrance of my school. My friends were standing around waiting for the bell and talking about the sight. The older Gothic building was beautiful in its own way, with its pillars shooting high into the sky. It was close to 600 years old. The entrance doors were at least 9 feet tall, and the students were sitting around in awe of the beautiful building in front of us. The older students, like me, were giving the younger kids doubtful looks and sassy smirks. I was far from those who were popular, but it was still funny to see the different faces and reactions. Though all in all, we were just covering up our awe too, no matter how many times we see the building the sight never gets old. I looked up at the large banner on the front of the school.

      "Welcome to Demon Academy"

I walked down the long, black hallway that connected to all my classes. I saw some friends, but most were mainly enemies. I found my locker, which was next to a friend of mine, his name was Mix, and I found my first class fine. As I entered there were many students that I knew, but also didn't like so I sat down in the back row of seats, next to the window on the side of the classroom. One of my friends, Kallie, sat down beside me.

"Hey, what up, my girl?" She said as she set her bag down. She was always a gangster and always had on low hanging pants and a big t-shirt.

"It's all good here, in my private bubble, but I highly doubt it's going to stay that way. Something always happens in the first day. Probably Sophomores, but you never know..." she nodded in agreement and got out her notes and started drawing what looked like a wolf. I just shrugged it off and looked around at my classmates.

Everyone in the room was a different kind of demon. Kallie was a horned Demon. The main popular girl, Clare, was a beauty demon. She never had acne in her life, she's what everyone called "perfect". I was different, my mother is a beauty demon, but my father is a death demon. So in other words, I was called beautiful, but I was also feared by many. My father was a known killer and my mother was a player, even as a woman. My best guy friend was in this class, his name was Josh and he was a Amducious, a demon of destruction. We all called him The Destroyer.

Sooner or later, since I didn't check the time, my teacher finally walked in. Mr. Malicious is what many called him, but his real name was Mr. Malic. He was our senior history and geography teacher. He was known as a demon of fear, or a Agramon. No one knew what he really was, they just assumed, because he was a bitch. He cleared his throat and everyone in the room got really quiet. I just smirked and sat back in my seat.

"Is there something funny, Ms. Aosoth?" I nodded my head, and opened my mouth.

"You know, I find it quite ironic about how everyone fears you, more than they fear anyone else." He just smiled genuinely and nodded his head.

"Though, as you probably know, I'm less feared than you and your father." I felt my smirk fade and I gave him the middle finger. He couldn't touch me, since I was dangerous, as was my family. My dad was feared by all and since I was even more powerful because my mom, I was more feared than him. So in other words that's the reason I didn't have good friends, people were either scared of my power or jealous/ intimidated by my beauty. As I was daydreaming Mr. Malicious ended up just sitting down in his seat and starting to teach our boring lesson.

It was an hour into his lesson when we heard yelling in the hallway, so Mr. Malicious went to go see what happened. When he came back inside, he had a face of horror and fear on his face, ironic right? He picked up something from his desk drawer and the item glistened in the light. It was a gun, a pistol to be exact and he crept towards the door, but he was too late as all the lights shut off.

"Kids, find a way out of the school, now. Aosoth, stay here with me." He whisper-shouted at the class and everyone scattered out the secret door in the side of the classroom. We had lessons every year, so we knew how to get out of something like this if it happened. I did as Mr. Malicious asked and stood by his side, waiting to see what I had to do.

"I saw 2 Sophomores, they were Arioch demons. They aren't really dangerous, but they are trying to take over, and you know the drill. Every year Sophomores want to take over the school, it never skips a year, but most of them die trying, so if you kill them, oh well. Now don't try to kill them, but kick butt." He whispered to me and I nodded. Each year one student would be picked to protect the students of their grade and ever since the principal found out I was a Aosoth, he permanently put me as the students protector.

I could hear slight movement so I stepped out into the hallway. I listened to the movement fall away, it meant that they were moving away from us. I started walking making sure my footsteps could be heard. I'd been bait more than once and I could consider myself perfect at doing this. I stopped when I heard talking from a room.

"We can't do this. Your so f-ing dumb. Why did you decide to do this, and talk me into it?" It was a girl. It seemed like it sounded like a Alu-Demon, or a demon of the night. She sounded like a Junior, yet the other hasn't said anything. I had to wait for the perfect opportunity.

"Listen it wasn't me, it was my parents and I'm sure Aosoth is after us now. She's dangerous and honestly I don't feel like dying today. Let's just call it quits and let my parents take care of me. I'd rather die to them than anyone else." It was a man, Sophomore or Junior.

It was true, what he said. Usually it's the parents wanting the kids to take over the school, and it's more honorable to die from your own parents than anyone else. It happens all the time, especially if your family didn't believe in love. Thankfully my parents believed in love, they loved me and that's the reason I never tried to take over the school. I could take this place in a matter of seconds, but I didn't need to, I had friends, I had good parents, I was perfectly fine.

The lights turned back on and the students walked out of the room and came face to face with me. I wasn't extremely tall, but the guy was still shorter than me. They both shrunk back, and started shaking. Pitiful these kids, I motioned them to follow me and they did, but they stayed about a foot away. I took them to the principals office and they sat down as Dr. Calihan sat down.

"Thank you Ms. Aosoth, this is, once again, deeply appreciated. Your actions will be rewarded. Come to my office tomorrow morning. You are now dismissed." He said in his formal voice and I nodded my head in submission and left the room, shutting the door quietly behind me.

I made it back to my class and grabbed my stuff and started to leave for the next class. As I was leaving the room, the rest of the students wondered in and grabbed their stuff. I walked out. Next stop, Circle Of Elders History.

"Well class, nice to see all of you this year. As many of you know I'm Dr. Calihan, your schools principal. This class you will learn of the Circle of Elders, a hierarchy in which I am in. The Circle of Elders has been around for thousands of years. 8,564 years to be exact. It's for those who are not only smart, but those who are physically able to cooperate in dire times. Many times the Circle is used to stop wars, that is mainly what we are trained for. If a war ever does happen we must have mental ability to keep precaution and military strategies to keep the enemy at hand. Also many know that we keep tabs on what is happening in the human world. We travel there every once in a while and see what's different and all the news that's floating around. But to introduce the class I would like to give you all a presentation. If you will keep your eyes and ears open so you don't have to take notes." This was the best class of the year. It was always fun to learn about the Circle, they were the people we relied on, they were the only ones that kept our kind safe. Without them we would have died years ago.

It was a presentation that lasted a full hour. It was quite interesting, it told more about what the Circle did, and what things we would have to consider before, "becoming one with the Circle", as they called it. Now next stop, Demon and Human Chemistry.

"It's nice to see all of you back this year! Today we are starting off your senior lesson with a lesson in Human Society!" Mrs. Lynford, the most annoying teacher ever. She was always happy and joyful and never spoke with a period after her sentence. She always spoke in an excited tone, yet it was extremely annoying. Don't get me wrong I love this class, it's probably my favorite, but I don't like the teacher.

"Today we are starting out with the basics. The other classes you may have had teach very strictly on the hierarchy of the human kind, and their structure of living, but in the corse of the class today, we will talk about how to fit in, and what you can do in bad situations in the human world. As you all know there is a portal from here that goes directly to the humans land, humans don't know we exist and we must keep it that way. Don't get me wrong, there is some trouble caused by demons in the human world, but not much. We need to keep away from trouble if we ever travel there. Now, most of us know of the Circle Of Elders, even they travel there, so really no one will have a problem....." The worse thing about her, she repeats herself constantly, so I might as well not listen.

   *Ring!!*

The bell, thank gosh. I went to my locker to grab my stuff and started out the door to my car. I started to put everything in the back seat of my Mustang.

"Hey babe." I looked around at Jask, my boyfriend for 3 years now. He was leaned up against my car. He had his black jeans on, black tank top - with the black leather jacket on top - and black combat boots. Yeah, he loved black more than me, which was pretty hard to do. Considering he had blue eyes and black hair, it was okay to wear black, it looked good on him. He kissed me on the cheek and put his elbow on the top of my car and used his other hand to grab mine.

"Hey, how did your day go?" He looked around the parking lot then back at me and nodded his head yes and shrugged his shoulders.

"Ok I guess. My mom and dad were fighting last night, sooo I was wondering if you could take me in for the night?" I laughed so hard I'm sure he thought I was high on drugs.

"Of course, do you even have to ask?" He smiled and hopped in the car as I got in the drivers seat.

It was a 20 minute ride to my house and we listened to music the whole way. Once I turned the key in the lock and opened the door Jask walked in past me and flipped on the couch.

"Movie night." He took the tv remote and turned on the tv. I just laughed at his bluntness. Yep, that was Jask for you.

"Ok, but let me change clothes first." He eyed me suspiciously.

   "~Oh, can I help with that?~"

"Hell to the no. Stay right where you are and I'll bring some old clothes for you." He just groaned and flipped over on the couch.

     "Just hurry uuuup."

It was 3 hours into the movie Battleship. He wanted to watch it and I have to say it was a good movie, just full of action. Don't get me wrong I liked movies like that, but this one was long. The only thing it had going was the badass music and the plot twists. Jask was hugging up to me and I could hear him trying to drift off to sleep. I poked his cheek and he jerked up. He stuck his tongue out and I just flicked his nose.

"Quit bothering me." He said and I shook my head no.

"Does it bother you? Me being an Asmoday? You know I'm a King of hell. And I grant invincibility. That's quite dangerous." I shook my head no.

"Of course not. Do you think my parents cared about being two very strong demons and gathered forces to have a kid. That's very dangerous but they did it anyway. So no, it doesn't bother me." He smiled and laid down on my shoulder. I laid down on the armrest of the couch and he followed me. We lay there and he was almost asleep.

"Love you." That was all he said before I heard slight snoring.

  "Love you too."

This was going to be a good year.
