Just Friends

(This is kind of for female readers, but if your not a girl, it's okay)

You were walking to school with your friend, Jason. You two were talking about the night before at the Drama Meeting. You both had joined Drama and Jason was ecstatic about it! You thought his improv skills were awesome and he liked your ability to be the character you were supposed to act.

You two have been friends since first grade when you transferred to his school. He was the first friend you made and he introduced you to your (now) squad.

You were walking with him to school, like you two always do, talking about last night's Drama Class when you remembered something funny.

"Oh, remember when Claire left her jacket on the stage the other day and she had to sing in front of everyone? Aww man, I didn't know she could sing so well!" You said. You two kept chatting and chatting until you got to the building. You two parted ways to your locker and then to the Cafeteria to eat breakfast. Jason sat next to you and you two started chatting again.

As you two were talking, you both noticed people whispering about you two, probably talking about how cute of a 'couple' you guys are. You turned around to see Jaydin and her squad saying things like;

"Oh, look at the cute couple!"
"Are they finally together?"
"Aww, I can just see their future ahead!"

"That's enough, ladies," Jason said. He clearly heard the girls and saw how mad you were getting. You two were apparently a big deal at the school. Whenever someone turned a corner, you two were always there, walking and talking about Drama and classes and everything else.

But you two? You absolutely hated it when someone would blurt out a comment about you two being a couple. Jason was usually calm about it on the inside, but when he was at a sport or in Drama, he let all of his anger out and put it into whatever he was doing.

When the day was over, you two went to the schools theatre and warmed up your vocal chords, started stretching, and just over all getting ready for rehearsal. In the process, you two went into what the theatre kids called Narnia because there were so many clothes, might as well be a forest full of clothes. There were different sections where there were different outfits. You usually went to go find the suits and trench coats while Jason would go find the leather jackets and flannel shirts. You two would act out your favorite scenes from different shows, and last week, you two binge watched a half season of Supernatural and you decided you act out a couple scenes as a warm up today.

You put on a tie and trench coat and walked on stage and started saying what the Supernatural Fandom would call 'Winchester Logic'.

"It was night, but now it's day!
I said tomorrow yesterday, to that makes tomorrow today!" You said as you acted out the hand signals with your hands (I'm sorry, I had to).

"I watch with my eyes," Jason said, trying not to laugh. That one seemed to get to him. You two looked at each other and knew exactly what to do. Jason pretended to be Dean, but in demonic possession. You, playing as Castiel, quickly pretended to put salt on the fridge, put a cross necklace around all the drinks, and made sure to paint a devils trap under his bed so he would probably actually go to sleep for a reasonable amount of hours.

"Aww, come on Cas! Really? The fridge?"

"You need to stop eating to so much when your a demon Dean, I need my cheeseburgers and honey, okay?" You said while cracking a small smile. Then, your friend Kaitlyn walked up in a makeshift Sam costume.

"Pudding!" She said randomly as she popped up between you two. You three tried to hold in your laughter, but failed miserably. It went from Supernatural Acting warm ups to fits of giggles within three minutes. For the rest of the rehearsal, you three practiced lines with each other. This year was supposed to be the play of Alice in Wonderland. You and Kaitlyn were Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum since you two looked so alike. You two also played as two of the singing flowers. Jason got the role of the Griffin, and he was cool with that. You and Kaitlyn started out your scene as Jason read over it while you were acting it out, just in case you two forgot a line. When you were done, Jason asked if you could help him with his lines, and of course, you accepted.

You two practiced his lines for about forty five minutes before you two had to leave. You packed your stuff and headed outside. You walked up until the street where you parted. He gave you a hug before you two left.

{The next day}

Today was a normal day. You woke up, got ready for school, and got out the door. You waited for Jason to meet you at the fork in the road where you two would meet up any other day. You walked to school, went to your classes, and went to the schools theatre. But as you were walking, a couple of the popular guys stood in your way, the brothers of the popular girls.

"Excuse me, but could you please move? I'm already late as is," you asked politely. They looked at each other and smirked.

"And why would we let a doll like you get away?" One of them asked. It was the second oldest, Jared.

"Okay, well if I'm such a doll, how come it took you three quarters of the school year to finally tell me? Or are you jealous of me and my bestie?" It was now your turn to smirk. They stood there, dumbfounded and trying to come up with a reason to keep you there.

"That's what I thought," you said plainly as you walked around them. You hurried to the theatre after that, and luckily, you only ended up being about seven minutes late, so everyone was starting warm ups.

"Hey. What took you so long?" Jason asked playfully.

"Nothing, just some guys tried to make me late because they were jealous of you," you said plainly as you started to stretch a bit.

"Seriously, did they think we were dating?" He asked while chuckling.

"Probably. Everyone else does, or just ships us," you replied.

"I can't believe it. How many times do we have to tell everyone that we are just friends?" You asked.

"I don't know. I guess humans are just like that," he said.

"Luckily, we are not humans. We are just friends," you both said in unison.
