He lives in the forest. Has his whole life. Man to never know he excisted. The only one of his kind. Half man half dragon. He stands tall, on two feet muscular but lean, His lower extremities covered in shimmering scales.
Long silver hair and sea green eyes. Pointed ears and small curved horns. His wings remain folded when not in flight but shimmer in the sunlight. When threatened or frightened he breathes fire. He has no memory of his past or where his life began.
His life has always been in seclusion of the forest. His lair a cave. He stands on a large rock formation quietly looking down. His curiosity intrigued. A human has entered the forest.
She sits next to the stream running her fingers through the clear water. Her long blonde hair cascades down her back. She looks around her as if she senses something. Her beauty mesmerizes him. Her violet blue eyes take in her surroundings.
The sound of the stream, rustling in the trees, and the birds and other creatures. She smiles and drinks from her canteen. She sits at the water edge and pulls a sketch book and pencil from her pack. He watches entranced by her, his eyes fixed on her every move. He steps to close to the edge and small pebbles fall.
She looks up and sees him standing looking down. She screams and runs through the woods. His wings spreed wide he breaks into flight, to seek shelter out of site. She stops when she see's nothing follows. Wondering what she has seen.
Knowing she must see him again and find out who and what he is. He stands in his lair, fearful that she has seen him but haunted by her beauty. He wonders, What is she? From where does she come? He knows she may bring danger yet he cant stay away. He vows to return to the spot at the dawn of light. She returns to her car frightened yet fascinated by what she has seen.
She will return tomorrow to try and get another look. Her sleep filled with dreams of this creature she has seen. He also dreams of the girl with violet blue eyes. He wakes and paces looking up at the moon in the sky. She to wakes with images of him fresh in her head and sits on her bed, sketching him from memory.
She glances at the clock and sees there's only two more hours tell dawn. She feels oddly drawn to him not sure what he is or what shes seen. Knowing she must see him again. He goes back to the exact spot. He see's her canteen and picks it up, he runs his hands over it, puzzled, sniffs it, and places it back.
Not sure if she will come
again. He longs to see her. He hears rustling and steps quietly out of site. She breaks through the clearing and returns to the spot looking up where he was the day before. Longing to see more.
She sitting quietly sketching images of him humming a song. Not realizing shes not alone. He watches from close by. He feels strongly drawn to her but doesn't understand why. Unsure he flys through the air back to his lair.
She catches site of him and
tries to follow, calling to him "wait." She wanders and it begans to grow late. She seems to be turned around and cant find her way. She sits not sure what to do. He lands softly watching just out of sight.
She turns and sees him standing there jumping to her feet. They both stare hearts beating rapidly she cant believe her eyes. She begains to take a step closer and faints. He walks to her laying still on the ground. Unsure of who or what he has found.
He picks her up gently and
flys to his lair. He starts a fire and lays her there. He sits watching waiting for her to wake. Her eyes flutter and she looks into his piercing sea green eyes yet feels no fear to her surprise.
