Its me anna again still in the new house, in a new town. I start a new school in a week. Im friends with nick now. No one else seems to be able to see him or hear him . Wait? Can you be friends with a ghost? Nick is pretty nice and he is funny. He is even cute for a dead guy.

Nick and i talk allot he knows everything about me. I told him im nervous to go to school and meet new people. He says he went to that school and that people are pretty nice. Nick says he misses the things he used to do and his friends and family. But i help him not be lonely and that he is glad im here.

  I go down to the kitchen to raid the fridge i yell " hey mom we need more bologna and cheese" my mom yells back "add it to the list." I walk into the living room and my moms on the computer. She looks stressed and has been trying to find work. I say " im bored" my mom glances up and says " Did you get all your unpacking done your rooms a mess?" I roll my eyes and go back up to my room and flop down on the bed. I text my old friends but there's no reply.

I roll over facing the wall and i feel the bed dip down i glance over my shoulder and its nick. I smile and say "hey what's up, where you been?" he says "around" I ask him if he can walk through walls and spy on people he doesn't reply. I roll over on my back and nick lays next to me. i talk to him about being nervous about starting school and that i hope being the new kid wont be as awkward as it seems it will be. Nick smiles and says "don't worry ill be there with you"  I play some music and we start singing together and laughing Nick is watching me with a weird look on his face  i ask him "what?" He says "shut up!" Then he is gone. I go outside and sit on the swing in the back yard my eyes closed my face turned towards the warm sun.

Upstairs nick is watching me unnoticed. The neighbor lady is always watching me when im out here on the swing, i think she probably thinks im crazy. She watches as i swing often talking to myself and to the empty swing next to me making hand gestures and laughing. I glance up at the window and i see the neighbor lady and my mom watching me and they are talking from the kitchen window. My mom looks concerned and mrs henderson just looks suspicious.

I wave and mrs henderson and my mom walk away quickly. I hear my mom calling " anna can you come here for a moment?" When i walk into the kitchen mom says she wants to talk to me to sit down. She starts telling me that she is concerned about me and that  mrs henderson has told her that she sees me talking to myself often. I glance up and nick is leaning against the door frame he is making crazy hand gestures and faces at me. I laugh and my mom looks confused and turns around.

She looks at me really worried and says anna is everything ok?" I shrug and say "yeah im great"my mom doesn't look completely convinced and starts telling me mrs henderson told her that the family that lived here before had a son that was sixteen and he died ten years ago. He was racing his car and got in a accident. I glance up at nick and he looks really angry. He isn't smiling anymore and has his fist clenched. My moms tells me that the previous owners moved away shorty after their son died and that the reason the house hadn't sold and they got it so cheap was because the doors would open and close and that people claim to have heard foot steps on the stairs and lights blinking on and off at night.

I ask mom "what's any of this have to do with me?" My mom says anna "have you seen or heard anything?" I shake my head and say "i haven't" but my mom looks really worried and asks "are you certain?" I say "mom who are you going to believe your own daughter or a crazy old lady?" I ask my mom "can i go to my room now?" My mom nods watching me walk away.

Nick follows me quietly. I feel him close on my heels as i walk up the stairs. I flop down on the bed and nick lays down next to me i whisper. "Did you hear my mom asking all those questions?" I tell nick "i gotta play it cool and stop talking to you where people will see." He looks very angry.

I tell him that the neighbor lady told my mom that i have been acting weird and she said how some weird stuff happened in the house before we came. Nick looks very mad and tells me "no one will ever take you away from me." Then he is gone. I close my eyes and i guess i drift off. i wake up much later my room is dark.

I see flashing lights so i walk to my window and look out the ambulance is carrying mrs. Henderson away. I back away from the window yelling "mom" my moms standing on the porch and says "mrs henderson had a bad fall and has hit her head." They arnt sure if she will be ok that shes very old. I look up and see nick grinning at me. I get a cold chill as he whispers in my ear. " I told you no one will ever take you away from me.
