Two steps.

Three steps.

Now he is just a foot away. Hannah takes a deep breath. He is talking to his friends. His friends can see her.

Hannah sighs. She considers it again. There is still time left. She can run away now. And he may never know.

A dare. A dare is what made her come here to talk with Thomas. She had a crush on him in her freshman year. She adores him very much. He never noticed her. He is the hottest guy of the school and also a bad boy.

Hannah thinks. She can't do this. But she has to. She has to talk to him and take him out to a date. That's the dare.

She taps on his shoulder. He turns around. He looks breathtaking. His untamed chocolate brown hair. His grey eyes. Hannah thinks to herself. I had crush on the right guy.

" You wanna say something?" He says with his deep husky voice. Hannah forgets what she is doing here.

"Umm. Umm..." She stumbles. Her tongue gets tied.

"Yeah?" He asks.

"Hi" that's all Hannah can manage. She feels the loss of words.

" Hi." He chuckles. " You wanna say something?" He asks again.

"N-N-Nothing" Hannah slutters. She can't ask him out. She runs away.

"Heyyyy...." His voice can be heard from the distance.

...

"I can't do this. No way. I just can't. I mean I can't just go and ask him out." Hannah talks in her phone with her best friend. She is at a coffee shop.

Someone taps on her shoulder. She turns around. It is him. Thomas.

"Hey." He sits on the opposite seat.

Hannah blinks. Is this a daydream?

"Hey there! Hannah, right?" He says while stroking his hand through his hair. He has a dimple in his right cheek. He looks more adorable from this short distance.

"Umm. Hannah, I think you are not dumb." He says.

Hannah colors.

"I. I can talk. Of course." Hannah can't figure out what to say.

"Let's come to the point." He states.

Hannah doesn't know what he is talking about.

"Would you go out on a date with me?" He asks. Thomas asks.

Hannah looks into his eyes. Is it even possible? Thomas is asking her out on a date?

She gulps. She blinks. She pinches her cheeks. She pinches her nose. Then she stares at Thomas.

"Oh. Okay. You may be wondering why I am asking you out. A guy like me don't do girls like you. It's a dare. My friends saw you a while ago. They asked if I had dated you yet. As I said no,they threw this dare at me. I have to take you out on a date. So it's a yes, I guess." Thomas finishes.

Hannah slowly stands up. She thinks. A simple yes or no can become a great deal sometimes. A simple yes or no can change her whole life. It can change her future. It can make or break her. It can make her dreams come true or destroy them. A simple yes or no is not simple anymore.

"It's a No."

Saying this Hannah walks out.

Sometimes you need to sacrifice your love. When you realize you have been falling for the wrong person you need to move on. As quickly as your heart can manage.
