You trudge irritably down the street while carrying one grocery bag in each arm.

"Wait, Jisun!" You hear a man shout behind you. Yet, you don't slow down your pace and clutch the bags tighter.

You hear multiple footsteps quicken the pace until they slowed down to your pace beside you. Jimin sighs loudly and gives you a frown.

"I was just making sure."

"Yeah, you did it five billion times already in the last hour!" You snap.

"Oh, you're exaggerating." Seojun scoffs.

You whirl your head to him and narrow your eyes. Your temper was shorter with him today. The audacity of him to show up with Jimin when it's been about two weeks since you last heard from him.

"Shut up." You hiss.

"C'mon, Jisun!" Seojun whines. "I said I was sorry! And I told you Namjoon made me do it."

"I don't care!" You shout and look away. "You're the one who carried on his idea and it wasn't funny!"

You still weren't over the charade he pulled in front of Jungkook that night with you. You remember that stupid text he sent you and it made your face to redden in fury.

Seojun clenches his fists impatiently and looks at Jimin for aid. "Are you going to say something?" He questions with an exasperated look.

Jimin simply shrugs with a frown. "Sorry, dude. This isn't my place."

Seojun shoots him a dark look before crossing his arms. "Annoying Park siblings," you hear him grumble causing you to smirk slightly. At least you annoyed him.

"Anyway," you head Jimin sigh turning his attention back to you. "It's just hard to believe, Jisun." He says.

"I mean if he did have a cardiac arrest again why didn't you take him to the hospital?"

"I tried!" You burst out. "No matter how many times I told him that I had to he just kept refusing!"

You shiver at the memory of yesterday. You still couldn't believe you let Jungkook be in that state without helping him. No matter how many times he told you he was okay you still felt guilty.

He could've died and you obeyed his word while watching him cringe in pain. God, you're a horrible girlfriend.

"I should've taken him," you mumbled with a frown. Jimin notices your torn expression and places a comforting arm over your shoulders.

"Hey, don't beat yourself up over it," he consoles. "At least you were there."

You roll your eyes, yeah it wasn't like you weren't looking for him cluelessly that morning.

"You weren't there, Jimin," you asserted with your eyes becoming cloudy. "You don't realize how scared I was when I woke up to find him in the bathroom gasping for air."

Jimin grimaces at the thought. He was never in a situation with Jungkook and prays that he never will. If he couldn't handle seeing his friend on a hospital bed with an IV stuck in his wrist what makes him think he could handle seeing Jungkook choking for air?

He could only imagine the horrible experience you went through. Twice.
He pulls you close careful not to knock over the grocery bag in your arm.

"I'm sure everything will be alright," Jimin empathizes with a small smile. "This is Jungkook we're talking about. I'm sure that's the only time it happened."

You will yourself not to cry in front of your brother and Seojun. You don't blink, terrified your tears might fall as you press your lips together in a fine line.

Jimin was right, this was Jungkook you were talking about, he was your tough bunny. But in those moments where you watched him suffer you never seen him look so helpless and weak. It frightened you knowing his robust attitude and aura were diminishing ever so quickly right before your eyes.

You swallow down your distressed cries and screams hoping to calm your beating heart.

"You're right," you breathe. "Jungkook's tough, I'm sure this is the first time it happened when he was out of the hospital." You say mostly to yourself as convincing as you can.

"Jungkook should be fine, right?"

Jimin's smile widens slightly as he nods his head in agreement. "Right."

At least you found hope in his words.

When Jimin notices that he was the only one who agreed he glances over your head towards Seojun. Seojun avoids his gaze at all costs and purses his lips together. His brows furrowed together as he wondered if he should agree along with Jimin.

When he could no longer take it any longer Seojun loses out a sigh and turns his head, locking his eyes with Jimin's hard stare. With his eyes, Jimin gestures to you as if telling Seojun to agree along or feel his wrath once they dropped you off at your apartment.

But Seojun couldn't agree with Jimin's false hope to you. He knew the truth and maybe you should know as well. Shaking his head to Jimin, who stared in confusion, Seojun lets out a breath while straightening his shoulders.

"Um, Jisun, there's something I have to tell you." He spoke quietly. You barely heard his words and glance to him in questioning.

"What?" You say roughly. "Is it another scheme you pulled towards me?"

Seojun resists the urge to groan in annoyance at your pettiness and stiffly shakes his head. "No, it's about, Kook," he deadpans.

"What about him?" You ask with your attention completely upon your friend.

Your gaze becomes so intense that Seojun could've sworn he felt a burning pain in his eyes. Quickly he averts his gaze and rubs his right arm uncomfortably.

"Well, I think it was about two days after the cafe incident when he decided to meet up with me," he shares.

"Okay . . . what about it?" you probed hesitantly.

Seojun slumps his shoulders with a frown forming over his lips. "I don't know how to say this without hurting you, but just so you know I--"

"Just spit it out already, Seojun!" You snap impatiently. "What the hell are you talking about??"

Seojun side glances to you and notices you stare back with a small frown with your eyes coated with fear. He clenches his fists tighter with sympathy in his eyes.

"That day when I met up with Jungkook, he coughed up a huge amount of blood."

Your feet slowly come to a stop planting your body to the pavement beneath you. Your eyes stare emptily at the bustling crowd before you. You start to drown out every sound leaving you in a world of emptiness.

You could feel Jimin shaking your shoulder, you could hear his distant voice shouting for you to answer. But your body nor your mind could register those things. It was as if you were stuck in time, your body motionless like a statue.

Blood . . .

That word rang in your head like a bell. Jungkook had coughed up blood about two weeks ago. And he never told you, ever.

You couldn't understand it, Jungkook hid this from you? How could he? His life is on the line and he was risking it by not telling anyone what he was going through.

What else was he hiding from you?

Suddenly you start to feel light-headed and your vision becomes a bit hazy. You stumble backward dropping your bags in the process. Quickly Jimin drapes his arm behind your back catching you before you fell.

"Jisun, are you okay?" He demands with widening eyes.

Seojun stares with his mouth open agape, his body unmoving. He never realized how the news would be like a landslide to you. You found it hard to breathe and took in short, quick breathes.

"Blood . . ." You mumble repeatedly to yourself. Jimin shakes his head and shakes you lightly once more.

"Jisun, it's going to be alright--"

"HOW?!" You abruptly yell bringing unwanted attention to yourself. You stare at Jimin with rage, questioning, and fear.

"How can you say that?" You demand. "He was coughing up blood and who knows what else happens behind closed doors!"

You shoot your glare to Seojun and shake off Jimin's grasp. "Did something else happen?" You question. "Did he say anything?"

Seojun shifts his feet uncomfortably while biting his bottom lip. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything at all. But judging by your stare and aura you were scared. You scared for Jungkook.

He was scared too and maybe telling you can save Jungkook. Just maybe.

He looses out a sigh and nods slightly. "He told me it was happening to him for a couple of weeks before we met up . . ."

You stare with unblinking eyes as you try to process his words. You shake your head with a disbelieving scoff.

"And he never thought to tell any of us? Why didn't you say anything?!"

"Because he told me not to and drop the subject!" Seojun exclaims.

You grind your teeth, that boy! What the hell is he thinking?! Keeping things like this to himself will only make things worse!

You have to see him immediately, you got to take him to the hospital. You don't spare the men another glance before storming away ignoring your dropped groceries and the shouts from your brother. Shoving people to the side you break into a run.

"Jungkook," you mutter. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

A harsh loud cough filled the room followed by a low wheeze. Jungkook quickly brings a tissue to his mouth and wipes the excess blood that lightly coated his lips. Crumpling the tissue and tossing it to a nearby trashcan.

Jungkook furrows his brows together in deep thought. His eyes bore into the paper atop his desk while drumming the pencil against the wood. No matter how hard he tried to focus the stupid sound of his wheezing kept invading his thoughts.

He shakes his head vigorously, he needs to think. He was running out of time. This was important and he wasn't even close to the chorus!

"Damn it!" He explodes and punches his chest. "I can't think!"

A violent cough emerges from his mouth in response and he growls in irritation.

"Why the hell is this getting worse?"

A loud knock comes at the door bringing Jungkook out of his irritating mood. He quickly hides the paper under a book before heading to the door.

Barely turning the knob the door slams open. Jungkook jumps back startled to see you.

"J-Jisun!" He exclaims in surprise.

You breathe heavily with sweat coating your forehead. Your eyes bore into Jungkook's suddenly sending off pissed off mood.

"Um," Jungkook starts in uncertainty. "Something the matter?"

"Like hell there is!" You shout and stomp into his apartment. Confused Jungkook closes the door before following you cautiously.

He watches you inspect the living room for something unknown. You lift the pillows with fury before tossing them to the side. You look under the table and couch causing Jungkook to stand by watching you suspiciously.

"Can I ask what you're looking for?" He inquires with crossed arms.

"Don't play dumb!" You snap. "You know exactly what I'm looking for!"

You spot his desk in the corner and quickly head over to it. Panic quickly rushes through Jungkook's veins as a loud gasp escapes his lips.

"W-wait! Don't go there!"

He quickly rushes to you until he sees you crouch down to the trashcan. You open it and stare at it in disbelief. It was silent for a moment with Jungkook's eyes on you with sweat coating the back of his neck.

Oh, God . . .

"So, it is true." You breathe. "You are coughing up blood."

You could feel your throat tighten at the sight of those crumpled, bloodied tissues. You couldn't believe he hid this from you.

Jungkook doesn't say anything and only watched you slowly stand while he listened to his fast-beating heart. You turn to him with glassy eyes and your bottom lip trembling.

Jungkook frowns in shame and quickly averts his gaze. It wasn't his intention for you to find out like this. Hears soft patters of feet approaching him then passing him.

"We're going to the hospital." You say sternly. Immediately Jungkook turns to you in shock.

"What?"

"You heard me." You say gruffly. "We're going to the hospital."

Jungkook shakes his head in refusal with fear lacing his eyes. "No, I'm not going." He refuses. Abruptly you stop walking and slowly turn to face him.

Your lips formed a deep frown with your eyes coated in disbelief. You scoff with a shake of your head.

"Jungkook quit being stubborn!" You scold. "This is serious! You need to see a doctor!"

"No, I don't!" He protests with clenched fists. "I'm fine!"

"Are you delusional?!" You explode. "You're not okay if you're coughing up damn blood or constantly wheezing!"

Jungkook's brows knit together in a line with his eyes narrowing toward you. "I don't see why you're making a big deal, Jisun!" He retorts. "This isn't your problem."

You stare at him with empty eyes with an airless chuckle escaping your lips. "Not my problem?" You repeat in disbelief before clenching your fists.

"Damn it, Jungkook you're so damn stubborn! Of course, it's my problem! You're fucking suffering because you're not taking care of yourself!"

"Well, make it not your problem, then!" He yells. "It's my life and what I say goes! So if I don't want to go then I don't want to go to a damn hospital! End of story!"

Despite the anger, his mind was screaming, pleading, for you to understand. He didn't want to go, he didn't want to spend those last moments of his life in a hospital bed staring at a white ceiling.

He didn't care if he was hurting, he didn't care if his lungs hurt constantly. He won't show you weakness, he won't show how frail he became. Can't you understand that?

You open your mouth to yell at him once more but a harsh, loud banging sound was made behind you.

Puzzled, you glance over your shoulder and stare at the front door. The banging becomes louder with impatience.

"Open up, damn it! I know you're in there, Jungkook!!"
