Check out my new Jungkook story, guys! It would mean the world to me!
It's called Second Chances! ^.^
You lounged upon the sofa with your legs atop of Jungkook's lap. You both watched tv, engrossed in the drama you found an hour ago. You couldn't understand it, the man was arrogant and rude and so was his secretary.
Ironic enough he was CEO of some famous company and was single. But what you couldn't grasp was the concept of the man and woman hating each other but were making out at this very second. You made a face when the woman broke away saying 'I still hate you'.
"In what universe do you make out with someone you hate?" Jungkook questions aloud with his arms crossed.
"Thank you!" You gasp with a sigh. "I thought I was the only one!"
He chuckles and pats your legs. "I'm going to the bathroom."
"'Kay! I'll find something else to watch."
He nods and pecks your forehead before heading off to the bathroom. With a smile upon your lips, you flip through channels for anything worth watching.
You hear your phone buzz atop the coffee table and pick it up. You let out a small groan when you see the notification.
Taetae😻: Why won't you answer, Jisun?? It's been a week!
You bite your lip as you read the message. Ever since that night when Taehyung tried to stop you from going after Jungkook you haven't contacted him. You were going to but that was before you had that talk with Jimin.
Now that you're with Jungkook there was no need to cling on to the past. But, was ghosting him the right way to do it?
You frown as you see the twenty-five miss calls and forty-two messages from him. None of those have you answered.
You imagined him either in his studio or apartment sitting on the floor while staring at his phone anxiously. He has no idea what he did wrong and he was probably worried about you.
If you were in his position you would go mad not knowing why a certain someone wasn't answering your texts and calls. Guilt began to swallow you whole and you place a hand over your forehead.
"What am I doing?" You mutter. You were going about this the wrong way. Ghosting him wasn't the solution, he didn't deserve that.
You got to talk to him, it wasn't right to keep in the dark like this. You open the message and type back.
You: Sorry I haven't responded...
Taetae😻:
Taetae😻: You answered!
Taetae😻: I missed you!
Your thumbs hover over the screen as you read the last text. You bite your lips and slowly type back.
You: Me too.
Taetae😻: God, you don't know how worried I was. I don't even know why you weren't answering me....:/
You: Yeah....about that...
Taetae😻: What....did I do something?
You breathe through your nose while shaking your head. Telling him through text would be even worse then what you did. You'll hurt him more and jeopardize your friendship.
Talking face to face seemed suitable for this situation but how were you going to do that without making it seem bad or like a date?
A text suddenly pops up and you give out a soft huh. It seems like he did it for you.
Taetae😻: Look, I miss you a lot since you were ghosting me for some reason and I want to see you....
Taetae😻: Soo are you up to hang out tomorrow? Say around noon at the company?
You barely finished reading the text when you hear soft footsteps entering the living room. You turn off your phone and place it upon your lap hiding it with your hands.
Jungkook enters with a smile, "So, what did you put on?"
Your eyes widen in panic as you like to the side nervously. "Umm. . ."
You didn't even pay attention to the tv. You notice that a random show was on, you never even saw it before. You began to chew your bottom lip as you try to think of an excuse.
But you hear a loud gasp from Jungkook and look at him. Your eyes widen in surprise as you see a grin enveloping his face with his eyes beaming in excitement.
"Oh my gosh, this is such a good show!" He bubbles and plops down on the couch. You watch him in awe as he gives the show his complete attention.
This could be good, he won't pay much attention to you. It makes it easier for you on your part. You take in a deep breath as you compose your face making it seem you were relaxed despite the stress that was raging on inside.
"Hey, Kook," You start lightly. "Are you free tomorrow?"
Jungkook barely heard your question and side glances you for a split second. "Huh?" He breathes.
"Are you free tomorrow?" You repeat.
Jungkook thinks for a moment with his eyebrows knitted together. "Hm, no I'm going to see my parents tomorrow," He admits with a small frown.
Relief washes over you letting you begin to breathe easy. Jungkook suddenly turns to you and you quickly change your expression to a disappointed one. You give him a childish pout.
"Oh," you mumble sadly.
Jungkook sighs immediately upset he was disappointing you. "I'm sorry, my dear, it's just that I haven't seen my parents in a while."
"N-no, I understand. It's okay." You ensure with a small smile.
"Are you sure?" Jungkook questions with a raised brow. "I can always call for a rain check."
"No, don't," you shake your head. "Go hang out with your parents, Kook. I'll be okay, really."
Jungkook holds your gaze for a long moment trying to find any uneasiness in your eyes. You gave him an assuring smile hoping he would buy your bluff. Unable to sense any sort of lie in your eyes Jungkook smiles back gratefully.
"Thanks, dear." He leans forward and kisses your lips. "I'll see you as soon as I'm done tomorrow."
You give him a silent nod with a tight lip smile. He smiles back and turns back to the tv. When you were sure the tv had his complete attention you quickly turn on your phone and start to type.
You: Alright, sounds good. See you tomorrow then.

It was late morning when you arrived at BigHit. You stood in front of the enormously tall white building looking up at it with a sigh. You clutch your purse straps tightly before heading into the building.
Taehyung texted you a few minutes ago assuring the receptionist is informed of your arrival so you wouldn't have another fight with one of the guards. You were grateful for the gesture, you weren't hyped to shoving a face in concrete.
Quickly you spoke to the receptionist who gestured to the elevator to your right. You head over to the elevator and walk-in. As you press a button your stomach started to twist and turn. You tap your foot anxiously as you wait for the elevator to stop.
You had no clue how you were going to breach the subject. Heck, you weren't even prepared! You figured you'll just with the flow but as you wait in the elevator but you realize that it was a bad idea.
You close your eyes and groan in defeat. You just hope Taehyung would understand, that's all you want from him.
Yet, you have no clue how he might take this and that was the scary part. The elevator dinged too soon for your liking and you take in a deep breath.
When the doors open you swiftly walk out and towards the studio he told he would be in. You also found the studio too soon and your heart begins to beat rapidly.
Sweat coats the back of your neck as you prepare yourself for whatever may happen. With a shaky hand, you grasp the knob but you didn't turn it.
You couldn't, the anxiety was overpowering your body. It was taking over like some sort of virus. You glare at the knob like it was your worse enemy and tighten your grip around it.
You took in two deep breathes before slowly turning the knob and pushing the door forward. You enter the studio and see Taehyung completely focused on his reflection in the mirror.
He danced with so much force that you saw sweat flying off his hair. Loud upbeat music played in the background.
You stood there at the doorway looking like a fool as you watched. He was truly amazing.
From the corner of his eye, Taehyung sees a figure behind him. Realizing that it's you he quickly stops his dance and twirls around and gives you a boxy grin.
"Jisun!" He exclaims excitedly and rushes to you. His hug took you by surprise for your body became stiff once his arms were wrapped around.
The feeling of this hug was unfamiliar to you, it didn't feel right.
"I missed you!" He gushes as he buries his face into the crook of your neck.
"Yeah . . . me too," You agree while patting his back awkwardly.
He lets you go but his hands on your shoulders. "You made me sad, you know," He sighs. You nod with a frown.
"I didn't mean to ghost you, Taehyung." you let out a sigh. "Things happened."
You expected him to pry so it would be easier for you to just let it all out. But having the world against you he doesn't. Instead, he shrugs still grinning like an idiot.
"Oh, that's fine. I'm just glad you're here."
He lets you go and strides over to the table in the corner. You watch him grab a towel and pat it on his face with nervous eyes.
You were half-hoping he would be bombarding you with questions, it would've been so much easier. Breaking someone's heart was never easy.
"So," Taehyung breathes as he places the towel around his neck. He turns to you with a grin. "I'm done with dance practice. Want to go do something or just hang out here? I only have an hour though."
You shift uncomfortably on your feet and avert your gaze to the wooden floor. God, why was this so damn hard??
"Um, Taehyung, actually I--"
"Oh by the way!" He interrupts and walks towards you. "I thought about the stage name you gave me and I think I'll go with V!" He smiles.
"It has a nice ring to it."
You grimace at his words with your chest aching in pain. You rub your arm aimlessly with your eyes still trained on the floor. Taehyung didn't fail to notice your expression and stops in front of you with a frown.
"Jisun, something wrong? Do you not like the stage name now?" He questions.
Quickly you shake your head. "No, I do. It's just . . ." It's just that you might hate it once this is all over, you think.
You didn't want him hating you but that was maybe asking too much. All you could do now was address the situation and rip it off like a band-aid. Do it quickly and easily.
You swallow hard and glance up at Taehyung with a straight face. But his eyes didn't meet yours, he was staring off at something else. But you didn't pay much mind to that and take in a breath.
"Taehyung, I have something to tell you--"
"What's that?" He asks and points at your neck.
He stares at your neck intensely and squints his eyes. Immediately you cover the left side of your neck and back away.
"N-nothing," you lie quickly.
Taehyung shakes his head in denial not believing your lie. "No, there was something," he insists and walks to you.
You kept backing away hoping he would understand but your back hits the wall. Your eyes widen when Taehyung stops in front of you and grabs your hand. He attempts pries it off your neck confused as to why you were resisting.
"Taehyung, stop-"
"But it looked like some sort of
mark . . ."
He stops mid-sentence when your hand was off your neck and the mark was visible. His eyes widen with his mouth open agape.
You turn your head to the side and grimace. God, this was all going downhill. His blank expression something you didn't want to see. You hear him let out a small scoff.
"Is that a hickey?" He questions in disbelief.
You bite your lip, lying was out of the question, clearly was a hickey and Taehyung was no idiot.
"Yes," you mumble.
Dread starts to run through Taehyung's veins as he tries not to think of a certain name. He squeezes your hand and you wince at the pressure.
"Who gave it to you?" He asks with a hard tone.
You don't answer immediately causing him to become impatient with anger surging through his body.
"Jisun, answer me," he commands in a low tone.
You suddenly felt small under his gaze feeling it bore into your skin. You wondered if he could hear your uneven heartbeats.
You swallow down the pressuring pain that he giving to your hand. You bite your lip and breathe through your mouth.
"Jungkook gave it to me."
