I have to be asleep before 3 am. If I'm not the figure outside my window gets closer. At first you can see a faint silhouette, almost like looking at your shadow from the distance.  Only thing is, the longer I stay up the darker the silhouette becomes.

One night, I couldn't sleep at all. I looked at my clock and it read 3:00 am. I looked at my blind covered window and saw a faint silhouette. The longer I looked the darker it became, coming closer to my window. I just watched, it's like I didn't have the strength to blink. The silhoutte was the darkest I've ever seen, it was right against my window.

I closed my eyes tightly as I heard a faint scratch against my window. The scrathing grew more violent and then it resulted into punches of violent aggression. I heard glass shattering and the blinds to my window collapsing to the floor. I heard sounds of crunching glass, then a moment of silence. Then I heard more glass crunching.

It was in my house, I was quivering underneath my covers. I had my eyes clentched tightly closed. I was begging, hoping, praying that I had fooled him into thinking I was asleep. I hear crunches and footsteps coming closer to my bed. I couldn't hold it in anymore. I started crying, pleading for the creature to leave me alone. I started yelling. Screaming that I was sorry I couldn't go to sleep.

My mom came barging in my room. I jolted out of my bed. My mom had a look of worry on her face. She asked over and over if I was ok. I only reassured her I was ok and only had a nightmare. She left. I didn't understand, I looked around my bedroom. Everything was normal my window, the blinds, no glass on the floor. It's sunny and birds are chirping, I look at my clock. 9:00 am. Maybe I'm just having a reaccuring nightmare.

Nightfall comes around and I head to bed and fall asleep quite easily. I wake up and look at my clock. 3 am. My room looks exactly like it did last night. Broken window, blinds on the ground, crunched up pieces of glass. I stare out my window and see a figure across the street slowly coming to me.

I have to go to sleep. Now he has easier access to me.
