Throughout the story, Louis does all he can to help Harry, but when Harry doesn't respond, he feels as if all of his efforts are pointless and he simply doesn't do anything more. He gives up trying to talk to Harry; what's the point in trying to talk to someone who won't listen?

And that is how things end; Louis' hopeless, Harry's a mess.

As I see it, life is filled with uncertainties. We are never sure of anyone's doings or how they are truly feeling. Sometimes we hardly know why we do the things we do. We are in the same position as Louis; unsure of how exactly Harry is doing, what he is doing. We are left to wonder the answers.

But there is no reply.
