Mall
...idek what I'm doing so don't ask. Also this is human AU. And Sophie and Biana are 17
Sophie's POV
I absolutely, positively, with all my heart, hated this.
I can't believe I agreed to do this.
Just because my parents told me to do this!
I sighed and stared at the giant, looming building before me.
And I walked inside.
FLASHBACK BC IK U R CONFUSED
"I'll do anything!" I protested.
"Anything?" Grady, my dad, said, looking at my mom, Edaline, with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, anything! I'll do all the chores for three weeks!" I pleaded.
"Make it four and we have a deal," Grady negotiated.
I shook his hand, securing the deal.
Okay, lemme back up.
My name is Sophie Foster, and the scene above is trying to convince my parents to let me my crush, who recently admitted his intimate feelings for me, Keefe Sencen.
However, Grady hated Keefe.
A lot.
I'm not really sure why.
Anyways, I made this deal so I could date him.
And...looking back...it was a regrettable decision.
I failed to do some chores the first week, resulting in punishment. I was already dating Keefe, so there was no way to fix that, so they sent me to the mall.
"At least a bag full of stuff," Edaline said.
"Maybe two bags," Grady said.
I hated the mall.
FLASHBACK OVER
I stepped inside a store, feeling out of place and awkward. My parents always shopped for me, and I haven't stepped foot inside a store since I was...a long time ago. I hadn't set foot inside a store in a long time.
I was examining a rack of clothes, not really paying attention, until a someone tapped me on the shoulder.
A girl, probably no older than I was, looked at me with big green eyes.
"Need help?" She asked, tilting her head to the side like a puppy and displacing her chocolate brown hair.
I sigh. "Yeah, my parents made me come here as punishment."
She laughed. Even me, a straight as heck girl, could fall in love with that laugh.
"Well, my parents let me come here as a reward. You wanna shop together, exceed your parents' expectations?"
"Um, sure."
"Great! So first thing you have to know about shopping..."
TIME SKIP TO AN HOUR LATER BC IM LAZY
"Oh. My. Gods. That looks so good on you!" Biana, the girl, squealed as I tried on a dress.
I looked at myself. "You really think so?"
"Of course! That color brings out your eyes. Now that we know why color suits you, let's get some more dresses!"
I bit back a sigh. We'd been shopping for at least an hour, and our arms were covered in shopping bags from different stores, each bag containing at least three items of clothing.
The current dress I was wearing was vivid red, mid-thigh length, and had a sweetheart neckline that was way too low in my opinion. I was never going to wear this.
"Oooh, Soph, come here! Look at this!" Biana exclaimed, dragging me to a dress section filled with dresses of colors from neon red to midnight purple, lengths from a quarter of the thigh to floor length ball gowns. We were going to take at least twenty minutes just exploring this section.
Biana had me try on what felt like hundreds of dresses, from flowy, short, a-line dresses to tight, long, trumpet dresses. All of them were varying shades of red.
Finally, we picked out three dresses. One was bold red, had a low, v neckline, with loose, long sleeves and was styled in a mermaid-dress-ish shape. Another was pale red, not pink, but not neon either. It was my favorite, with a halter neckline and knee-length skirt covered in diamonds. It was cute. The last one was dark red and was short, strapless, and overall my least favorite. But Biana said it looked good on me.
When I got home, I discovered Biana had left the receipt for all my stuff in the bag. She paid for it all, said it was "helping this fashion sense" and was really nice about it. I read the receipt.
Total: $419
I blinked at the paper. Surely I didn't buy that much stuff, did I?
My parent noticed me and began to greet me. Until they saw my bags. They stopped and looked at my shopping bags and looked at me, confused.
"Hi," I said.
"Hello Sophie," Edaline said, still looking between my face and my cargo, clearly confuzzled.
"Yeah, I, um, met a friend, at the mall, and she helped me with the shopping, so..."
Grady cleared his throat. "Great. I just um...wasn't expecting all this."
"Neither was I," I told him ,walking to my room to put up my newfound clothes. I was probably never going to wear most of them.
My phone buzzed with a text. I checked it.
👗Biana
Hey. Have u gotten home yet?
I was so confused. When did she put her number in my phone? And when did she put my number in her phone?
Sophie
Yeah. I'm putting all the stuff away
👗Biana
Ok. Hey would u want to come over to my house 4 a sleepover?
Sophie
Um, sure, why not?

Sophie

I walked downstairs to tell my parents about the sleepover. They took it surprisingly well, seeing as I had never gone to a sleepover before, but that was good.
I started to pack before I realized...
Sophie
