Your POV
The Scaleswind guards chased me and H/N through the forest. Destiny, my so called "cat", sat with me as we were chased. The small snowflakes fell down onto us. They think I'm some sort of crimmanal. My H/C hair blew in the wind from behind me. So did my F/C cloak. I yanked on the reins of H/N.
"Come on H/N! Faster!" I yelled. She neighed and kept running. I looked back at them. One of the guards on their horse was holding a crossbow. He shot an arrow at me up it missed barely. Suddenly, I came across a dead end. My horse came to a stop. She tried to buck me off! She stood on her back legs and I slipped off. H/N ran off in the distance.
"No H/N come back!" I yelled after her. The Scaleswind guard's horses came to a stop. I scooted back. Destiny meows up at me in fear.
"Well, looks like we have you cornered." Said a guard.
"P-Please don't hurt me!" I yelled.
"We've seen what you've done. If you let you go then you will continue to do bad things!" Said a guard as they walked up to me with their sword in their hands.
"Please! I-It's not my fault!" I yelled.
"Oh really? How do you explain killing that man, hm? And that one girl?" Asked another.
"I..." I started. I had a huge secret that I never told anyone. I couldn't tell them. I promised that to my dad long ago.
"We have no choice but to kill you." Said a guard walked up to me.
"No wait! It's all just a misunderstanding!" I yelled.
"Lord Nicole's orders!" He said lifting his sword above me. Destiny me owed as one of the guards held her back. I closed my eyes and looked strait at the floor. Then, something unexpected happened.
"Leave that girl alone!" Said a voice. The guards turned to the voice. I kept my head down and peaked at who it was.
"Who do you think you are?" Asked the guard that was going to kill me.
"That doesn't matter now. Who is she? What did she do wrong?" Asked the stranger.
"Her? Well, she's a criminal! She's killed the inosecent!" Yelled a different guard.
"Doesn't look like it." He said looking over at me. "Why don't you give her a chance? She seems innocent." He said. Why was this person trying to help me? I don't know him! I thought.
"Maybe your just saying that because you're a criminal too!" Said the guard walking up to him. The stranger got out his sword.
"I'm not a criminal." He said.
"You better get out of here or we'll kill you." Said a guard.
"No. You can't. Where would that get you?" He asked. A guard swung his sword at the stranger. He defended himself by blocking. Another tried to attack him but he missed. The stranger fought against them. He ended up hurting a few of the guards. He knocked over the head guard and his sword was in the grass next to him. The stranger held his sword to his neck.
"Get out of here." He said. The guards surrendered.
"A-Alright," said the guard standing up. "But we'll be back to kill her." The guards got on their horses and rode off. I still sat there on the ground terrified.
"Jeez...what's their problem?" Asked the stranger. He turned to me and walked over to me. A smile came across his face. I looked up at him shocked. He had light brown hair and baby blue eyes. He also had orange meif'wa ears and a tail.
"W-Why did you save me?" I asked. He reached a hand down to me. I hesitated then he helped me up.
"I don't know. You looked innocent." He said.
"But what if I was a criminal?" I asked.
"I could tell you weren't. Those guards were just being weird. Why were they chasing you?" He asked.
"Well, it's kind of a secret." I said. Destiny rubbed her fur against me.
"Are you sure you can't tell me?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I made a promise." I said.
"Oh. So where were they chasing you from?" He asked.
"Scaleswind." I answered.
"Those were Scaleswind guards?! Oh no...we're in an alliance with them!" He said and placed a hand in his forehead. There was a small silence. I looked over at his arm. It was bleeding. One of the guards Must have hit him.
"Oh no! Your arm. Are you okay?" I asked breaking the silence.
"Huh? No I'm fine." He said. I sighed. "Here, you should come to my village."
"What? Oh...sorry...I don't like to enter villages!" I said.
"How come? If you don't mind me asking." He asked.
"I guess I'm feared from people...I don't know why..." I lied. I did know why people feared me.
"Why are you feared?" He asked.
"I-It's a secret." I said. There was another small silence. I suddenly started crying.
"Huh? Why are you crying?" He asked and put his sword away.
"S-Sorry...Its just...something that happened in the forest. My...friend was killed by those guards..." I said remembering.
"Oh...I-I'm so sorry...what happened to them?" He asked. I sighed.
"I'll just tell you...so me and my two friends...I mean...one friend were walking in the forest. Her name was Melody. We were abandoned long ago. When we entered Scaleswind Nicole let us in to rest. While we were there, she was talking with me. Then, these boys got in a fight with us. It started when Melody threw a snowball at me. But it missed and hit one of those boys. They got mad and started to fight with us. I...got mad then...I went out of control and used my magics. When I get mad I lose control and become a threat. So, I ended up killing one of the boys. Then the guards noticed us and tried to fight us. We ran out of the village. I climbed onto my horse and so did my friends...I mean...friend. Then, a guard shot at us and it ended up hitting Melody. She then died. I couldn't go back to help her because of those guards!" I began to cry more and covered my face. "Now I have no one..." I said through tears. The stranger put a hand on my shoulder.
"You have me...right?" He asked with a smile. I blushed lightly. "You know...friends?"
"T-Thank you..." I said. Then I hugged him tight. He hugged back.
"My name is Laurence by the way." He said.
"My name is Y/N" I Said.
"Wow...that's a beautiful name. Almost as beautiful as you yourself!" He teased. I blushed and giggled.
"Heh...those guards are liars by the way. Nicole actually tried to stop them from chasing us. And that boy was the only boy I've ever killed ever." I said.
"Hmm. Let me take you to my village of Phoenix Drop." He said. My eyes lit up.
"Wait... Did you say, Phoenix Drop?" I asked.
"Yeah. Why?" He asked.
"Garroth lives there! Right?" I asked.
"Yeah I guess...do you know him?" He asked.
"Know him? He's my brother!" I said.
"Wait what? Garroth never said anything about having a sister!" He said.
"Garroth use to keep secrets a lot... Can I see him?" I asked.
"Uhh...well...he's not really in Phoenix Drop at the moment." He said.
"Then where is he?" I asked.
"It's a long story." He said.
"Okay...i'll go with you." I said as we began to walk. Destiny meowed at me. I looked down. It looked like she needed to talk about something.
"Oh, Laurence I'll be right back. I just need to...get something!" I said.
"Alright, I'll be over here." He said. Me and Destiny ran over behind to tree. She morphed into her human form.
"OH MY GOSH Y/N DID YOU SEE HOW HOT THAT GUY WAS?!" She asked. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh Destiny...why are you like this?" I asked. A grin came across her face.
"Shut up I saw the way you blushed at him!" She said. I blushed.
"Ugh! No Destiny! I'm not looking for love right now!" I said.
"Well he seems into you!" She said.
"Destiny...stop...not a good time." I said.
"Hehehehehe..." She started.
"Oh no don't you dare start shipping me with him!" I shouted.
"You read my mind!" She said. I groaned.
