---Y/N's POV---

I just sat up in a tree and waited. I don't know what I was waiting for. I guess for something to happen, really. I soon noticed Aphmau walking up to me.

"Hey, Y/N! I healed Laurance. He can see now. He said that he wants to meet you on the docks of old Phoenix Drop. He wants to talk to you." She said. I smiled at her.

"Heh, okay. I'll go see him." I said.

I walked into the original village of Phoenix Drop and found the docks. I saw Laurance sitting on the docks. I smiled as I walked down onto the beach.

"Hey." I said. He turned his head to me and smiled.

"Hey Y/N!" He said.

"What is it?" I asked. He turned his head back around and looked at the ocean.

"Nothing much. I just wanted to talk." He said. I sat next to him. My feet dangled over the ocean.

Why does he want to talk to me?

"So...tell me about yourself. I don't really know anything about you." I said.

"Oh, okay. So, I was originally an orphan. I was raised by the old lord of Meteli. The Lord's name was Hayden (I think) and he had a daughter named Cadenza. So I grew up in Meteli until I met Aphmau. Wow, love at first sight. I fell in love with her as soon as I laid eyes on her." He paused and sighed. "I wanted to be with her. I loved her very much. As time went on, I soon became her guard in Phoenix Drop. And I has the time of my life with her. And a few months later, we were trapped in the Irene dimension. I think I told you about that. Garroth is now left behind."

"Yeah, that's too bad." I said sadly.

"Aphmau can see Garroth in her dreams, you know." I said.

"Really!?" I asked.

"Yeah, every Other night, her body while she sleeps is transported some place with Garroth. And they can talk. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Garroth also loved her. And he managed to kiss her. Well, I've kissed her. She kissed me In fact. It's actually a long story. And recently, Aphmau....she....started to talk about Garroth more and would blush when someone would him him up...and she...fell in love with him. And now....I feel heartbroken." He said. He looked down miserably.

"I-I'm so sorry... That must be horrible For you." I said.

"I-It's fine... Even though I desperately want her, and I've tried to hard, Garroth deserves her. I'm probably just a burden to Aphmau." He said.

"Y-Your probably wouldn't be. She looked pretty worried about you in the treehouse. She still likes you." I said.

"I know... But still. I feel left out and heartbroken." He said. I noticed a tear fall from his eye.

"Don't cry... Please. You know, maybe you'll find love in the future! You never know." I said trying to cheer him up. He sighed.

"I'm sorry...I just....I don't even know." He said. I changed the subject.

"So, how did you take on those Shadow Knights all by yourself?" I asked.

"Well, believe it or not, I actually have the ability to turn into a Shadow Knight because—" He began. I gasped and looked at him.

"Y-You're a....a Shadow Knight!?" I asked.

"W-Well yeah... But I'm not like—" He started. I stood up.

"No...you can't be! I-I...I have to go." I said. Then I ran back to the tree fort.

"Y/N wait!" He called from behind me.

No... He can't be a Shadow Knight! I can't trust him! I shouldn't talk to him. Not at all. But... It doesn't feel right to do that. Now whenever I approach him my header just....races. But is Thais feeling!? I don't like it! I feel ashamed for ever trusting a guy like him! I should leave this place. And never come back.

I took Destiny with me and my stuff and left into the forest. Destiny meowed at me confused.

"I sorry Destiny, but we're never coming back here. Not when there's Shadow Knights." I said.
