Sixty-One: Still

Seokjin excused himself from the table in the private dining room and walked quickly to the men's room. He was glad he'd come out with his friends. He'd spent too much time hiding away from the world. He was washing his hands at the sink when he heard the door open. Without paying attention to it, he reached for a paper towel.

A hand closed around his. His eyes went wide when he saw who it was.

"What are you doing here?" he exclaimed. His surprise was turning into annoyed anger.

Norma gripped his wrist tighter. "I am here for you, my dear."

"Norma, this is the men's room."

She moved closer to him. "You don't return my calls. You don't come to see me. I never see you. How else am I supposed to talk to you?"

He leaned away from her. "You're not. I need some time to myself right now. I don't want to talk to you. Why can't you understand that?"

She dug her nails into his skin. At his hiss, she smiled. "I don't understand that because I know you don't mean it. It's just a game you're playing with me. I know you still want me. You still want to fuck me, don't you?"

The desperation in her eyes frightened him, and his anger gave way to panic. He pulled his arm out of her grasp. "Norma, please. I need to get back to my table. Please just go home." He was afraid of what she might do. Her eyes were not looking at him with love or affection but with the wild fear of a cornered animal. He instinctively took a step back.

Her eyes pooled with unshed tears. "No. I won't go home unless you go with me. I don't want to be alone. I want to be with you. Why don't you understand that? Why won't you come back to me? I know you still want me." She put her hand on his crotch. "You love me."

"Norma." He pulled her hand away from him, but she reached for him with her other hand. With her free hand, she grabbed his waistband, attempting to unbutton and unzip his pants.

Seokjin grabbed her hands to stop them, amazed at her strength. "N-Norma, stop. Stop."

She lunged toward him and bit him on the neck.

He pushed her away roughly and brought his hand up to the injured site. "Goddammit! Stop! What is wrong with you?"

She pulled her top open, revealing her black bra. "Let's do it here, right now. Come on, my dear," she said rapidly. She slammed her body into his, pinning him against one of the sinks painfully. "My treasure. My love. My Seokjin. I love you. I want you. Do whatever you want with me. Anything." Her mouth latched on to his neck.

The door to the men's room opened. Someone murmured a quick "I'm sorry," and the door shut again.

"That's enough," Seokjin said through gritted teeth. He grasped her shoulders tightly and moved her away from him. "This is insane. You are insane. Just stop this right now. I am leaving. Pull yourself together before anyone else sees you like this." He swung her around, moving himself closer to the door.

"Seokjin—"

"Stop. I don't want you. I don't love you."

"You don't mean that."

He frowned. "I do mean that. I want you to leave me alone. Forever. Do you understand me? I don't want anything to do with you. I don't want to see you. Just leave me alone."

"No," she whimpered, sliding down to the floor. "No."

He wanted to walk out and leave her there, but the vacant look in her eyes and her disheveled clothing made him pause. He still worried about her. With a sigh, he pulled her to her feet and rearranged her clothing without any resistance from her. "Please don't do this anymore. Don't follow me."

"You're mine. I still love you. I won't let you go. I will never let you go," she whispered.

"Norma, please go home. Ask for a cab. Please. Go home." He grabbed another paper towel and dabbed at his neck, removing her lipstick and a drop of blood she had drawn. He looked at her for a few seconds then left the men's room.
