Akashi POV

For the past two days, we've been secretly planning her surprise party, and lucky for us Kuroko parents wanted to help and allowed us to do it at their place. Kise and Aomine seem to be having a hard time trying to understand what they learn when they study together. I finally found the perfect gift for her birthday and white day the other day while I was looking up some ideas for her surprise party. We all agreed to have a study group that day at Kuroko house since that way she won't be suspicious about our plan.

'Hopefully, those two can keep up with her lessons.'

Your POV

"So care to explain to me how you fail this test after I explain this who lesson to you both for the past two days," I asked both Kise and Aomine as I looked at their test scores. All the questions were everything we have gone over and they still failed.

"Well... we sorta forgot at the moment," Kise said as Aomine agreed while I wanted to yell at them but remained calm.

"I see well I guess it can't be helped," they apologize seeing all that time studying was for nothing.

"The makeup test is on Monday and that gives us almost three days' worth of studying," Aomine said as I sigh seeing I wanted to be left alone for a few days but I would feel bad if they fail again.

"Fine, I'll help you guys seeing that you could use all the help you need." They both thanked me and hugged me.

"Jeez, you guys are a handful sometimes."

Midorima POV

As Akashi and I sat in the room playing shogi I began to wonder about something. If her birthday is coming up won't her family be joining her to celebrate?

"Something on your mind?" Akashi asked as he moved his piece.

"I know that (F/n) lives with Kuroko but will her family join her for her birthday?" I asked as he seems curious about her family as well.

"I honestly don't know from what she told me her mother's health is very frail so she stays in the hospital to be monitored. I haven't met her older brother but from what she told me he's been busy with his work." Akashi said making me worry about her feelings.

Though I don't wish to admit it but I've been trying to avoid this feeling of jealousy whenever Akashi is near her. The truth is I like (F/n) and I would of confess soon but I couldn't not after finding out she started developing feelings for someone else. I  had hoped it would have been me but after finding out it was Akashi it felt like I couldn't hate him.

"Hey are you guys playing shogi again?" (F/n) asked as she came in the room and close the door.

"What if we were?" Akashi asked in a teasing manner.

"I'm just curious... so who's winning?" She asked as I moved a piece.

"By the looks of it I am," Akashi said as she stood by watching from the side.

"So do you guys have plans on white day?" She asked as we looked at her confused.

"Not really, why?"

"I need help teaching Aomine and Kise. They failed their test and they need help in reviewing everything before their makeup test." She said as we sigh in relief.

"I could help out it shouldn't be that hard," Akashi said as we stared at him unamused.

"It's Aomine and Kise we are talking Seijuro it took a total of three hours for them to understand what we were learning before we got the questions." She said making me feel bad that she had to deal with them.

"Well knowing those two they can be a challenge. So I'll help you out if you that is," I offered as she smiled and hugged thanking me over and over.

"So Midorima gets a hug when he offers help and I get nothing?" Akashi said as she smiled at him.

"Seijuro this is Shin-chan remember, everyone knows he's not very open to helping out not 0 just anyone. Plus from what I'm told all the girls that gave you chocolates will be receiving white day gifts or so they hope for." She stated a bit annoyed.

'I guess any girl would get jealous if her boyfriend is giving gifts to other girls.'

"It's just a thank you gift it doesn't mean anything, ok?" Akashi said as she just stares at him unsure to trust him.

"Sure it is," she said as sat next to me making me feel nervous.

'Why does it feel like I'm in the middle of an argument between a married couple?' I sigh as I looked at my pieces and see I'm not going to win again.

"Shin-chan I think you should move this piece here," (F/n) suggested as pointed one of the pieces. I did as she suggested and it seems Akashi was stuck now.

"Well played seems like we're in a tie," Akashi stated as I was amazed by her suggestion.

"As they say, 'two heads are better than one.'" I couldn't help but smile at her quote.

"Well since it's a Friday let's do it at Kuroko house," Akashi suggested as she seems unsure but agreed.

'Hopefully, we can distract her long enough to plan the party.'

Time skip: white day

Your POV

I sigh seeing all the girls smiling for receiving a white day gift from Akashi. Even Momo-chan received a white day gift from him. Even though I was hoping to receive a white day gift from him but not once has even try to talk to me. With all the girls trying to talk to him I guess even he can't ignore them today.

'I guess today is not my day,' I began to walk towards the gate since practice was finished early.

"(F/n)-chan wait up!" I heard Momo-chan yell as she drags Aomine and Kise.

"Hey Momo-chan I'm glad you brought these two with you," she smiled as they sigh.

"Want me to help you with Daiki I know he can be a handful." She said as I smile and agree.

"Well let's go the others will join us at my place." They nodded as since Akashi had a meeting at the student council room. Midorima is helping out Mura-chan with his homework. Tetsu went ahead saying that he wanted to prepare snacks for everyone.

'Something is up Tetsu leaving ahead means he's hiding something from me.'

Kuroko POV

I told my mom the plan and she had everything prepared and hid all gifts and decorations in the coat closet. At that moment they all arrive at the same time making sigh in relief she didn't suspect something

"Oh, you brought your friends today how wonderful." My mom said as she blushes and excuses her for a bit.

"Thank you for letting us in your home Mrs.Kuroko," Midorima said as they all thanked her too.

"Okay you guys can come in now I'll grab some snacks for us," I was about to stop her but my mom had a tray ready.

"Here Tetsuya told me that you were going to help someone study so I made some snacks for you all."

"Oh um thank you Mrs. Kuroko," she nodded as we all went to her room it was a simple room with a few pictures here and there.

"Okay let's start with what you forgot." She said as she grabs her notes as they showed her what they need more help.

'Let's see if we can keep her out of the kitchen.'

Your POV

After showing them what to do and how they won't forget it on the spot. Midorima also checked their work and see if they got it right.

At some point, Aomine fell asleep which cause Momo-chan to yell at him to focus. It's funny how just spending some time with my friends makes me a bit happy. I looked at the spot where Akashi should have been but he never showed up.

'I guess his dad told him to go home immediately after the meeting. It wouldn't be a first after we started dating.' I got up and stretched my aching body from sitting too long.

"Let's take a break for now," kise was immediately happy to relax as Aomine lay his head on the table.

"(F/n)chin can I have a snack?" Mura-chan asked as I smile.

"Sure I'll grab some in the kitchen," I said as I was about to head out kise asked if I could review his work.

"I will check once I get the snacks," I was leave again but Momo-chan grabs my hand and began to ask if I could help her with something.

"What is up with you guys? Every time I head to the kitchen you act as if you did something bad." I stated since I have no clue.

"We promise Akachin not to say a word," Mura-chan said as I was confused about what Akashi was hiding.

"Alright either you start talking or someone will have a black eye," I threatened as kise and Aomine hid behind Tetsu and Momo-chan.

"He wanted to surprise you with your white day gift at the kitchen," Tetsu said plainly as I blinked and sighed.

"That's it that's why you guys were acting this way? You guys realize you could have told me that and I wouldn't go to the kitchen until he told me." They gave out a sigh seeing that it was that easy, to be honest with me.

"Oh by the way (F/n), here," Tetsu said as he gave me a  small white box and a very colorful wrapped gift.

"Tetsu you didn't have to do that you know," I said as he smiles.

"I know but I wanted to give you something." He said as I smile.

"Well open it I want to see what Tetsu-kun gave you," Momo-chan said all excited to see. I open the white one first and saw how it was beautifully wrapped that I didn't want to open it.

I unwrap it carefully and saw it was a small bracelet with a star in the middle. I read the message and smiled.

"Tetsu," I smiled and went to hug him.

"Wow, Kurokocchi has nice taste in jewelry," Kise said as I looked at the second gift.

"Go ahead and open it," Tetsu said as I looked at the second gift.

"Tetsu quick question did your mom help you wrap these gifts?" I asked as he nodded confirming my suspicion.

"It would explain why I don't want to ruin the wrapping now," I mumbled as I carefully unwrapped the gift. When I pulled it out and saw it was a frame with a picture of us at the festival we went to last summer. I smiled as I read the message inside and notice he spelled Best Friend with scramble pieces.

"Happy birthday (F/n)," he said as I smiled and place the picture frame on my desk. Where I had pictures of my mom and Ranmaru as well as my teammates.

"Wait it's your birthday today?!" Momo-chan yelled surprised that today of all days was my birthday.

"Yeah sorry, Momo-chan I'm not very open when it comes to my birthday." I apologize as she hugged me.

"It's fine your just shy when it's about you." She said with a smile that can make anyone smile.

"Tetsuya, (F/n)... come down for dinner and bring your friends over too." Tetsu's mom said as we all went down for dinner. To my surprise, Akashi was there with an apron on.

"Seijuro what are you doing wearing an apron?" I asked but knew what it was. He came up and gave me a bouquet of red and white roses.

"Well, I couldn't find a white day gift that you would like so I thought I would make you dinner." He said with a blush which in a way was adorable.

Akashi POV

I was embarrassed as she grabs the roses and smells the roses. I left early to prepare this meal with Kuroko mom and had to pick someone up before she notices.

"Seijuro you didn't have to do this, just standing by your side is the best gift you could give me. Plus I don't want you spending a lot of money just to make me happy." She said as I smile seeing that she didn't care about expensive gifts or going to glamorous parties.

"I know but it's the least I can do right?" She smiled softly seeing that it's the thought that counts.

"I do have a question, when were you going to tell me that today was also your birthday?" I asked as she sighs as everyone agreed seeing that we all found out.

"Let me guess, Tetsu told you guys about today didn't he." We nodded as she took a deep breath.

"I wasn't going to celebrate my birthday this year cause I just wanted to spend time alone in my room. I didn't want people to know about it either because I didn't want them to be obligated to celebrate with me when they can do what they really need to do. So I didn't tell you guys cause I didn't want to be a burden to you all." She said as looked down.

"(F/n)-chan we would have gladly celebrated with you not caring about anything else," Momoi-san said as everyone agreed.

"Alright everyone why don't we take a seat," Kuroko mother said as I lead (F/n) to her seat.

"I know that Kuroko gave you his gift but I do have one gift that I do believe you would like," I said as she seems confused.

"You can come out now ma'am," I said and her mother came out of the kitchen.

"Surprise!" She yelled as she stayed quiet not saying a word.

"Happy birthday my little shooting star!" Her mom said as she got up and hugged her mom. To my surprise, she just didn't say anything but hugged her mother.

"Awww my little shooting star did you think I wouldn't be able to come to celebrate your birthday?" Her mother asks as she nodded not letting her go.

"Well, it was thanks to Akashi-kun that he convinced my doctor to let me leave for today." She said as (F/n) finally moved to see her.

"I'm very glad that such a nice boy like Akashi-kun is taking good care of my little shooting star." She said as she smiled and wipe (F/n) tears away.

"Now then let's enjoy this wonderful meal." Her mom said as everyone took a seat.

"I'm home!" Someone yelled which u assumed was Kuroko father.

"Welcome home dear we were just about to eat," Kuroko mother said as he came in and saw all of us.

"Wow did not expect to see so many people." He said as we greeted him and introduced ourselves to him.

"Well a package arrived for you just now (F/n)," he said as (F/n) was confused seeing she wasn't expecting a package today.

"Yo happy birthday," her brother said as he had a gift in his hand.

"Ranmaru I thought you were going to be working today?" She said as he patted her head.

"And miss my kid sister's birthday I've been trying to finish work as much as possible to be able to come see you for today." He said making her smile.

"Now that everyone here let's all dig in shall we," her mother said as we took a seat. Everyone was surprised that the food was really good and I was thankful that both Kuroko mother and (F/n) mother were able to help me out.

"Well, then I think it's that time now let's bring out the cake and we knew a few of your friends were coming so we brought you this cake." Kuroko mother said as she came in with the cake.

"Everyone let's say it together on 3... 1... 2... 3!"

"Happy birthday (F/n)!" We all said as we the popper string causing her to smile.

"Make a wish my little shooting star," her mom said as she closed her eyes and blew the candles. We all clapped seeing we never get to see this side of her a lot.

"Everyone this is the best birthday I could have ever had." She said making us smile seeing her all happy after having so many days of her being sad.

"Well of course that's what friends are for," Midorima stated as she smiled seeing we are friends here. We began to eat our slice of cake as I notice Kuroko taking pictures a few times.

"Kuroko have you been taking pictures this whole time."

"Yes, I want her to remember this day so I place to give her a photo album with the pictures of today." He said took another picture of her and her brother and mother. Her smile hasn't left like she was her usual cheerful self again.

'Hopefully, that smile will never disappear.'
