Hey guys I'm sorry for not updating but I'm getting back little by little. I read in the comments that someone wanted more Midorima x (F/n) moments so fiona_lopez (I had to edit this part cause her original name was change😅) I hope you enjoy this chapter. Also it's around the time when (F/n) recently quit the team.

Midorima POV

It's been a week since the championship and I haven't seen (F/n) at practice. She would always show up but she's been skipping practice and has been avoiding us since then. She's not even talking to Akashi either and has been avoiding him like the plague. I headed to the one place she tends to go after practice seeing that she's probably skipping again.

"Shintaro where are you going?" Akashi asked as I looked at him not caring if he's mad.

"(F/n) been skipping and she never skips practice. Don't you find it a bit odd that she's been acting differently around us after we won the championships?" I asked as he just looked like he didn't care.

"She's probably tried you do realize that her mom passed away not too long ago. She's probably trying to move on from the pain in her heart." He said as he began to walk away.

"Your her boyfriend, why aren't you by her side in her time of need?! If she's I'm pain shouldn't you be the one to help her get through it?!" I yelled as he stopped walking.

"She broke up with me..." he said loud enough for me to hear.

'They broke up, when?'

"If you want to help her go ahead but I will try to win her back. After all, she and I belong together our fate was sealed from the day we were born." He said as he heads to the gym. I decided to find her hoping she's alright. I ran towards the entrance to see her changing shoes.

"(F/n)!" She ignored my call and closed her locker. Before she could walk away I grab he arm.

"Tell me what wrong (F/n)?! Why are you skipping practice and what's this about you and Akashi breaking up?!" I asked seeing that no one was around.

"Midorima please let go of me I don't want to talk about it." She said as I was shocked she called me by my last name.

'Something is wrong she never calls me by my last name.'

"Please talk to me, let me help you understand," I said as she looked at me. Her eye looked so empty that she looked lifeless.

"Did Akashi do something to you?" She looked away meaning its something more than Akashi.

"I'm sorry Midorima but I'm quitting the team. You wouldn't understand and the others won't understand either." She said as she pulled her arm out and head for the exit. I couldn't stop her even if I wanted to my legs weren't willing to move.

'Just what happened that to make her like this?'

Your POV

"I'm back," I said out loud as I came inside the Kuroko house.

"Welcome back dear how was school today," Tetsu's grandmother asked as I remove my shoes.

"It was good," I said but in truth, my heart is broken in more ways than it should.

"Your brother had called not too long ago. He said he had something he wanted to talk about." She said as we walked to the living room.

"Is that so I guess work is going good for him," I said as she sighs.

"Dear I know you're still mourning about your mother but I know that she wouldn't want to see her beautiful daughter all sad and depressed.' She said all worried which made me feel bad for her.

"I know but don't worry I'll bounce back to my cheerful self soon. It's just hard for me at the moment," I said while trying to smile but even with a smile I still feel like sinking into the darkness.

"I know dear but remember you not alone even if your brother is not here he's always checking up on you and that there's us. We may not be related by blood but the bond we share is much strong than anything. Tetsuya and his parents and I as well will always be there to lend you a shoulder to cry on." She said making me tear up.

"Thank you," she smiled and pulled me in for a hug.

'I shouldn't be selfish, I have a place to come home, a meal I could eat, a caring family that accepts me, and a loving older brother who is working so hard to support himself and me.'

"Now then why don't you go up and change and you can help me prepare dinner," she said as I smiled and nodded.

Kuroko POV

"Kurokocchi where's (F/n)cchi today?" Kise asked as I looked around and see that it was only him and me today.

"She didn't feel well so she went home," I said as he sighs.

"I was hoping we can go one on one but since the championship, she's been acting differently around us. Even during lunch, she started sitting away from us." Kise said as he began to fake cry.

"Just leave her alone she needs time for herself," I said as I walked towards the exit.

"Um excuse?" I looked to the side and see a girl with Grey eyes her black hair was in a ponytail.

"Yes?"

"Is Kurosaki-san here?" She asked as I shook my head.

"Sorry she's not here, did you need her for something?" I asked as she waved her hands.

"Oh um no I just wanted to give her my thanks for helping me out the other day." She said as she blushed as looked away.

"If you want I could let her know," I suggested but she jumped.

"No no it's alright I can tell her tomorrow," she said as she bowed her head and apologize before leaving. I was curious who that girl was but it wasn't my place to question her.

'I should have at least asked her name, oh well.'

Your POV

I sigh as I try finishing my homework and hopefully get some studying done. My phone rang and I saw it was Momo-chan but I ignored it and kept my focus on my school work.

'She probably worried about my absence from the club. I should give my resignation letter to the coach tomorrow or they won't bother me.' I grab a paper and started writing my letter to the coach it didn't take me much time to write. I received an email and saw it was Momo-chan.

From: Momo🌸
Subject: Where have you been?

You've been skipping practice these past few days, are you alright?

I sigh and began to write a response hoping she can give me some space.

To: Momo

Subject: I'm fine

I'm fine I'm just adapting to the changes I'm going through. Don't worry about me, I'll see you in school tomorrow.

I sent the message and got back to what I was doing before someone knocked on my door.

'Is today 'talk to me' day?' I got up and open the door to see Tetsu standing there.

"Oh, Tetsu your back from practice?"

"Yeah mom wanted me to tell you to come down for dinner," He said while still wearing his school uniform.

"Alright, I'll be there in a bit." He nodded as he headed for his room. I went to my desk and hid my resignation letter. I headed down for dinner and see everyone there waiting for me and Tetsu.

"Well seems like everyone is here," Tetsu's dad said as I notice an empty spot next to granny.

"Dear Ranmaru did say he'll be here let's wait just a few more minutes before we start dinner." Tetsu's mom said as the front door open.

"Sorry that I'm late Mr. and Mrs. Kuroko," my brother said he handed some flowers to Tetsu's mom.

"We were just getting here as well, please sit, I'm sure being an idol takes a lot of energy." Tetsu's dad said as Ranmaru sat next to me.

"It's been hard adapting to the life of an idol but I'm glad that I'm getting work in at least."

"Well, I hope enjoy dinner thanks to our dear (F/n) help I was able to have dinner prepared much faster," Granny said as I blushed.

"Really I wouldn't be surprised she has such a wonderful gift of cooking that I wouldn't be surprised that she made dinner." Tetsu's mom said as she places the last dishes on the table.

"My my looks amazing that I can't decide what to eat first."

"Now before we start Ranmaru didn't you say you had something you wanted to tell us?"

"Well yeah but it can wait, it's best if we don't let this wonder food get cold," Ranmaru said as I began to wonder what this important news he had for us. We all began to eat and chat about work and school. I remain quiet and answered when they asked me a question. Before we notice the food was all gone I guess having a family you never notice how time flies when you enjoy their company.

"Now that our bellies are full from such a wonderful meal tell us what is so important Ranmaru." Tetsu's dad said as we all paid attention.

"Well thanks to my idol work I'm earning more money now and I can start paying off more of our disgraceful old man debt even more. Plus with the money I've saved up, I already bought an apartment that is still in the area so when my sister finishes middle school in teiko she can move into the closest high there. It a 5LDK it's pretty big and has a nice neighborhood. Plus if Tetsu and (F/n) decide to go to the same school well they can live a bit closer to the school." He said as I was surprised about the news.

"Ranmaru-san that's amazing I guess you guys are going to move soon," Tetsu said as I felt sad.

"Well once you finish middle school I don't want (F/n) to have to transfer school for the last semester. So she'll still be at teiko until then," He said as I felt a bit sad to leave the Kuroko family house. It's the house that I grew up in but I understand that Ranmarus doesn't want to burden them for taking care of me.

"That great cause I decided on which high school to apply to," Tetsu said as we looked at him.

"Really which one have you decided to go Tetsu?" Ranmaru asked as Tetsu smiled.

"Seirin high school."

Time skip Next day

Midorima POV

I waited for (F/n) after class but she was either gone or doing something for the teacher.

"I wonder where (F/n)-chin is at she never skips lunch for a week," Murosakibara said as he ate his rice.

"Yeah, your right and lately she's been acting differently in class too."

"What do you mean?" I asked kise as he thought about how to explain. As he was about to say something fell to the ground causing everyone to stop and look.

"What's the matter Azumane are you really that clumsy?" A girl said as she and her friends started to laugh at the poor girl.

"Well speak up Azumane or are you that much of weakling to talk?" She said as grab her milk and pour it on her head.

"Oh no I spilled my milk, how silly of me," she said sarcastically while her friends. I was about to look away when I saw (F/n) walking towards the group of girls but with them only focus on the girl they were bullying they didn't notice her at all. It's what she did next that cause one of them to scream.

"Oh, my bad how clumsy of me then again you did the same thing to Rika-chan too. So I guess you can  call it payback for bullying her for the past year." She said threw the milk carton in her friend's tray of food. She grabs the girl that was on the floor and pulled her and began to walk away from the group of girls.

"Wow did not expect her to act that way at all," Aomine said as he ate a piece of chicken. Kuroko got up and began to go after them, my guess to see if they're alright. I decided to go after them and left the table not caring who saw me.

Your POV

As I let Rika-chan wash off the milk that was poured on her head I stayed nearby her hoping that those girls wouldn't come.

"Kurosaki-san I'm sorry you probably get in trouble because of me." She said as she kept her head down. I place a towel on her head and began patting her head to help her dry off.

"Don't worry about it I can handle them without a problem. I'm more worried about you, are you sure you can handle their bullying?" She smiled sweetly seeing that I placed her first.

"It's not the first time I've been treated like that sometimes Sora's words are more painful than theirs." She said making me worry just how much she has taken.

"If you want I can be your dance partner, at least until you decide what school you'll apply for," I suggested as she was surprised by my offer.

"Are you sure I know you started last year and all but with the basketball club-"

"I just cleaned my locker out just now plus I quit a few days ago. Honestly, I could use something to distract myself." I said as she seems a bit sad.

"Are you going to be alright," she asked as I nodded.

"Probably not but a change of scenery is good for body and mind." I felt like we were being spied on and looked in the direction where I felt it only to find Tetsu there.

"Hey, Tetsu were you listening?" He nodded and looked at me worryingly.

"You sure you want to go? What if Aka-" 

"We broke up so he won't try to drag me back," I said cutting him off before he could say his name.

"Well, shall we head back to class?" She nodded as I notice Shintaro standing there.

"Tetsu can you and Rika go ahead I'll catch up in a bit." They nodded and head to class as walked to Shintaro.

"Hey, so I guess you know too?" He lightly touches my cheek.

"If this is what you want I won't go against your decision, but at least tell me the reason." He said as I grab his hand.

"It's hard to explain it with words but I  feel like if I keep going down this path I'll end up losing more than I already have." He sighs like he wanted to say something but kept it to himself.

"Shintaro have you decided on which school you'll go to?" I asked as pushed his glasses up.

"Yes and what about you? I know Kuroko is going to some new school, are you going to go with him?" He asked as I close my eyes and took a deep breath.

"At first I wasn't even sure which school to go to but I have already decided where to go. I'm just surprised that I wasn't the only one who decided to go there too." I said as he seems to know what I meant.

Midorima POV

"Shintaro I'm sorry but I've decided to go to Seirin for high school. I hope you can forgive me for being an idiot but I'm not ready to forget what he has done. I'm sure he'll try to find me one way or another but for now, I just need to disappear for a bit." She had sad look in her eyes.

I step closer and pulled her in for a hug which surprised me since I'm not one to share a hug. Still, I know she's not one to show such a sad expression.

"You don't have to apologize just try to find happiness again. I hate seeing you like this so smile for me." She just hugged me close and I could feel she was crying.

"Thank you for everything Shintaro."
That look in her eyes told me she had already made the decision before anyone could convince her not to was clear. I would have asked her to go with me to Shutoku but what Akashi did to her is unforgivable and I wouldn't blame her for trying to go hide for a bit. I just wish we could spend some more time together. Even if I'll end up hurt for these feelings for her. I want to see her smile and be happy but at the same time, I want to see her be free from what chains her to those painful moments.

"We should head to class," I said as I let her go and grab her hand to take her to class.

'I promise I will always be on your side even if we go to different schools I'll try to keep Akashi far away from you.'
