Midorima POV

I have no idea what I was thinking when I agree to this, I was waiting at the entrance at the summer festival that was happening before school started. Takao suggested to go and with a kimono saying that it would be fun. I'm not wearing the kimono cause I wanted to, it just so happens that Oha Asa's lucky item was this. Even though it would have been fine to wear this here if had it been somewhere else I wouldn't be able to live with myself like this.

"Shin-chan what are you doing here all by yourself?" I looked over and see (F/n) wearing a white kimono. Her hair had grown a bit longer than last time but she was able to style it with a simple hair ornament. (I know many have different hair lengths so a simple hairstyle is easy for everyone.)

"Takao asked me to join him for the summer festival, he said something about it being a celebration about surviving the training camp," she said as I felt like I'm being tricked.

"He said the same thing to me only he forced me to come," I said as she smiled when we both received a text. Takao told us he had to do some but would catch up with us later.

'Takao you're going to die when I see you!'

"Since we're here already, want to go in together?" She asked as I sigh but deep down I was nervous.

'Is this a date? I mean it's just us and no one is around to interrupt, but what I'd she thinks it's a date?! Not only that what if Akashi finds out about this?! He practically keeps an eye on her from a distance!'

"Shin-chan come on we can consider this as a date," she said as she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the festival.

'NANODAYO!?'

Takao POV

As they went inside the crowd the guys and I followed them around from a safe distance. I got to say this about Seirin, I'm sorta jealous they have such a pretty girl with them. That kimono on her looks amazing on her and I sorta wish I hadn't arranged this for Shin-chan.

"Midorima is a lucky guy to have a cute girl as a date," Miyaji senpai said as I secretly took a picture of them walking in together.

Your POV

As we walked around I couldn't help but see how much fun everyone was having. The food smells incredible and I couldn't help but head to the first stall which had takoyaki and another had ikayaki. Shin-chan seem annoyed by the amount of people surrounding us but just to make sure we didn't get separated I grabbed his hand and guide him to the takoyaki stall.

"What are you doing, nanodayo?" He said with a bright red face.

"It's so we don't get separated, now let's try every food stall!" I said as he followed my guide. We got in line to try the food and I couldn't help but notice a few families having fun.

"Is something wrong?" Shin-chan asked as I smiled.

"Nope everything is fine let's try karaage after this, okay?"

"Sure just don't go wandering off, you don't know what other people will do when someone is alone," he warned me as I smiled and nodded.

"I promise I won't let go of your hand Shin-chan," he blushed and looked away. Soon it was our turn to order and the wait was worth it. After some time passed and eating each stall I can happily say that I feel full.

"Want to try some of the games?" Shin-chan asked as I nodded and I couldn't help but notice the frog plushy that was at knock the bottles.

"Hey let's this one first seems like fun," I pointed out as he agreed and walked with me to the game stall.

"Hello there would like to have a try?" I paid and he gave me three throwing balls. I could tell he didn't expect much out of my throws so to see that surprised look on his face was priceless. When he saw that I knock out all three towers he just asked which one I wanted as I pointed to the frog plushy.

"Here Shin-chan," he looked away and grabbed my hand making me smile.

'Worth it!'

Midorima POV

We kept walking and observing some of the events happening and just as we were about to head to find a spot to see the fireworks but I stop at a stall that had a bunch of masks.

"What is it Shin-chan?" (F/n) asked as I pick one of the masks that looked like a fox mask and placed it on her head. I paid the stall owner for the masked and grabbed her hand

"Ah, Shin-chan?"

"It's for the plushy," I said she looked surprised but smiled and accepted it. We got to where everyone was to watch the fireworks and found a bench.

"Seems like luck was on our side that we found a good view of the fireworks." I nodded as I couldn't help but feel like my heart is about to explode.

"Say Shin-chan can I ask you something?"

"Sure"

"Is it possible that the hardships we face lead us to a better life?" She asked as I grabbed her hand.

"I think fate has something in store for everyone, but I also believe that whatever happens in our lives helps us get stronger." She smiled and held my hand a bit tighter.

"I like the way you think Shin-chan I guess Oha Asa's fortune for cancer is pretty good for you today." She smiled as the fireworks began.

'On the contrary, today's pisces is the lucky one today,' I looked as I couldn't help but be in awe.

Early that morning

"Today's lucky day is pisces and cancer is second, lucky item is a fox mask for pieces."

Present time

'I might have to thank Takao for not showing up today but right just holding her hand and being by her side is enough for me. At least until she decides what she wants to do next.'

Takao POV

After watching and following them from afar with the guys, I couldn't help smiling seeing how they acted like a couple. I am also a bit surprised by how strong her throw is.

"We should probably get out of here before they see us," Kimura senpai said as we slowly walked away from where they were at.

"Midorima better win her heart and if he doesn't well I'll sweep her off her feet," Miyaji senpai said as we all knew he won't be able to do it.

Your POV

'Looks like they're not going to keep following us now, but I wonder why Takao didn't join our group?'

'If fate has something in store for me then I only for Shintaro to stand beside me, even if it just a few minutes is enough for me.
