Your POV

I sigh seeing that another year is coming to an end again our 2nd year is almost over and next spring will be our last. Even while I'm window shopping I can't help but feel a bit down. Maybe it's cause I know my brother won't be able to come home until after the new year and mom's health is improving but can't spend much outside in the cold air. Meaning I won't be able to spend Christmas without my brother and my mom, but I'll be spending it with Tetsu and his family. Just this morning Tetsu told me that we'll be going skiing this year but the guys wanted to exchange Christmas presents before we go. Hence why I'm out shopping looking for gifts for each one.

"I got everyone except Akashi and Shin-chan, but what can I get them?" I said to myself as I looked at each window. Since Akashi is rich he might not want anything but that wouldn't feel right.

"Geez looking for gifts is so hard," I felt a lot of weight on my shoulders and the stress coming in.

"There's got to be something he would want," I passed a game shop and see some board games, I couldn't help but notice a shoji board on display.

'He probably owns one and it might be a better version.' I began to walk away and keep looking for a gift.

'I guess I can look for something he needs.'

Kuroko POV

As I finished wrapping the gifts I got for everyone and finished packing my bag for our skiing trip. I heard someone pass by my door and but the sound of their footsteps it was (F/n) passing by.

'She must be back from shopping and by the sound of her footsteps she's beginning to worry.' I place my gifts in a bag to carry them.

"Tetsuya! (F/n)! Can you give me a hand?!" My grandmother yelled from downstairs.

"Coming!" We both yelled at the same time.

'I wonder if everyone is done with their gifts.'

Akashi POV

I sigh seeing that I looked through each shop and found something for everyone in just one shop, all but (F/n) gift, which is the reason I'm stressing out a bit. I've had a crush on her since she accompanied me to that ball with my father and I got to know a bit about her and her family, which I've met in person.

"Young master I'm sure this young lady would be happy with anything you give her, why not get her something that could be useful for her." The driver, that was helping me out, said as we left another store.

"That may be true but she's not like other girls I've met, she's the type who's honest and would make sure everyone is happy before putting herself first. She, not the type to abandon someone who needs help or ignore someone crying," I began as I notice that he was smiling at me.

"It sounds to me that you're in love with her, aren't you young master?" He said as I blush and looked away.

"Well... I... so what if I am!"

"Well I'll give you an idea on the gift, find something that makes you think of her," he said making me think what reminds me of (F/n). I began to walk past a store and something caught my eye and I couldn't help but smile.

"That's it!"

Time skip Next day

Your POV

I decided to visit my mom and see how she's doing. Normally by now, I should be packing but I wanted to give my gift to my mom before anyone else gets theirs.

"Hi, mom!"

"Well if it isn't my shooting star! What brings you here today?" She asked as I walked in with her gift behind my back.

"Well, I wanted to give you something before I go with Tetsu and his family." She smiled and put her book down.

"Seems like you and Ranmaru think alike, he came by yesterday and gave me these beautiful roses." She said as she pointed to the small vase of flowers.

'I'm so glad that I didn't go for the flowers too.'  I smiled and couldn't help but wonder how similar Ranmaru and I are.

"Well, then here's my gift to you," I pull the gift I hid behind me and place it in her lap.

"Oh you know you shouldn't have sweetheart, having you as a daughter is the best gift I could ever have." She said making me blush at how honest she is with her feelings.

"I know but I still want you to have it, think of it as a thank you present for the love you've given both for me and Ranmaru. Plus I'm sure it will brighten up the room a bit too," she smiled and began to unwrap her present. When she pulled it out she saw the gift I'd picked out for her. On the front of the snow globe was a message engraved.

The love between a mother & child is Forever

"Oh my, this is so beautiful," she said as I smile and blushed to see her happy.

"I'm glad you like it, mom," she smiled as she hug her gift.

"I love it," she corrected me as I couldn't help but feel overjoyed at how happy she is.

Akashi POV

I managed to find her gift at the last minute and wrap it in time, but now I'm second-guessing my gift for her. I was making my way to Kuroko's house seeing that we can exchange gifts. I'm sure everyone picked something we know that we would enjoy or something to try.

'I'm sure everyone is thereby now,' I looked out the window to see it was a bit cloudy than it should be.

Kuroko POV

"Tetsu!" Momoi-san hugged me from behind but I was used to it.

"Hey, Kurokocchi where's (F/n)cchi at?" Kise asked as I was worried if she's going to make it in time.

"She said she be back before you started exchanging gifts." My grandmother said as everyone was curious where she'd gone too. The doorbell rang and made my way to open it. It was Midorima-kun and Akashi-kun who arrived at the same time.

"Hello, I'm glad you could make it," I greeted as they nodded.

"I hope we're not the last ones to arrive," Akashi-kun said as I shook my head.

"No (F/n) went out a bit and she hasn't gotten back," I said as I let them in.

"I'm sure she's on her way here now," Midorima said as I couldn't help but notice something about him is different.

"So while we wait for (F/n)-chan to come home let's play a game," Momoi-san said as brought out a deck of cards.

"Sound like fun!" Kise said as everyone didn't mind the game.

'(F/n) where are you?'

Your POV

As my mom told me stories of how grandpa and Ranmaru went fishing one time in America. I couldn't help but laugh at how they only caught a log. We were so deep into our conversation that the nurse had to interrupt us for my mom to take her medicine and start her treatment. I notice the time and remember the gift exchange.

"Well I better get going," I said as she smiled.

"Have gun out on the snow for me and take as many pictures as you can," she said as I nodded.

"I will, and I'll come to visit you when I as soon as I can," I hugged her and she kissed my head.

"Be a good girl with the Kuroko family and tell them I said hello, kay." I nodded and bowed to the nurse as I pass her. I began to make my way to the elevator and decided to send a quick text to Tetsu that I was on my way back to the house.

'I should make it if I start running once I get outside,' I made my way into the elevator and push the button to the main floor.

Akashi POV

"That's impossible Akashi has been winning each game he has to be cheating!" Aomine yelled as I chuckled seeing that I won old maid again.

"No your just a bad player at this game," Midorima said as everyone laughed. Kuroko's phone went off, letting him know he received a message, he grabbed his phone and began to read the message before he started smiling.

"She's on her way back, she said that her mom was telling her some funny stories that lost track of time," He said as everyone was glad that she was alright.

"Well her mom is in the hospital a lot, she probably wanted to spend as much time she could before leaving," Momoi-san said as I help but agree with her.

"At least everyone here has their parents at home, but (F/n)cchi mom is in the hospital all year round. I bet she misses her a lot that she doesn't want to leave her mom's side," Kise said as everyone agreed to his statement.

"Must be hard for her and her brother, not able to spend Christmas or New Year with their mom," Aomine said as Kuroko gave a sad look in his eye.

"Tetsu what's wrong?" Momoi-san asked as he looked at us.

"Well Ranmaru won't be able to see her after the new year," he said as I realized that she has been putting on a smile to show she's fine, but she might be faking her smile.

"I'm back!" Someone yelled as the front door open and closed.

"Welcome home," Kuroko said as (F/n) came into the room a bit red on her cheeks.

"Sorry for being late I lose track of time when I'm with my mom," she said as she nervously laugh.

"Don't worry we were just playing old maid and Aomine lost every game," Kise said as Aomine slam his hand on the table.

"That's not true you lost too," he stated as he try to defend himself.

"Well let me get your gifts and we can start exchanging gifts," she said as she went up the stairs to her room.

'She seems a bit happier than she normally is.'

Your POV

As bring the presents that I picked for everyone we all pass the presents to each person and one by one they open their gifts. Everyone seemed happy with the gifts I got for them, Kise got a scarf, Aomine received a new basketball, Momo-chan got a stuffed rabbit in pink and light blue, Midorima seem happy that I got him a stuffed bear in a karate uniform. Mura-chan was happy to have gotten three boxes of Maiubo. Tetsu decided to wait until we go on our trip to open his gift with the rest of the family. Now the only person I was worried that wouldn't like their gift is Akashi and I was able to find a gift for him at the last second. As he unwrapped his gift I was a bit nervous seeing that everyone gave him scarves, ties, shirts, even a stuffed lion. I was glad that I avoided getting clothes seeing that Akashi isn't the type to hate anyone unless they did something to upset him, but right now I feel like I may cause him to hate me.

"A 3D four-leaf clover crystal?" Kise seems curious about the figure.

"Yeah, I've heard that the leaves of four-leaf clovers are said to stand for faith, hope, love, and luck. It's said that Ireland is home to more four-leaf clovers than any other place, giving meaning to the phrase 'the luck of the Irish.'" I explained as they seem surprised that the four-leaf clover has a lot of meaning.

"I'm impressed that you would pick something with great meaning," Midorima said as I noticed Akashi was smiling.

"Akashi?"

"Thank you I will always treasure this wonderful gift," he said making me blush and smile.

Akashi POV

Her gift and the meaning to it gave me joy, and unlike the other gifts, this was the first gift that made me smile.

"Well since we all open our gifts, the only one left is (F/n)chin right?" Murosakibara asked as everyone nodded.

"Well I'll open Tetsu gift while we're on our trip, but let's start with Momo-chan first," she said as she grab Momoi-san first. When she open she saw it was a red scarf and a matching hat. Aomine's gift was next and he got her a basketball as well.

"I guess we were thinking the same gift for each other," she said as she spun the ball on her finger. She open Murosakibara gift next and to our surprise he gave her a Maiubo stuff plushy.

"Mura-chan isn't this the one you were looking for yourself too?" He nodded.

"I got it in a different color than mine," he responded as she smiled. Kise's gift was next and it was a designer bag. Midorima's gift was simple but she seem to like it a lot.

"Shin-chan how did you know I like these types of books?" She asked as Midorima blushed.

"You told me that you enjoy modern-day classics, and when we were studying last week I notice you only had a few books of Dazai Osamu and poetry of Nakahara Chuuya. So I figured you would want some new one to your collection." He said as I had no idea she like modern-day classic literature. My gift was the last one and I was a bit nervous now, seeing that everyone gave her things that I never even considered. As she open my gift I began to worry if I made the right choice about my gift.

"Oh wow, that's so beautiful!" Momoi-san said as I was worried what (F/n) seem speechless.

"Of course, Akashi would think carefully about her gift," Aomine said as she smiled.

"It's so beautiful that it's hard to believe that they're preserved flowers," she said as she seem to know that they're preserved.

"Well your gift was the hardest to pick while everyone seem easy," I stated as thanked me and kept looking at it.

"Thank you, everyone's gift was amazing and I love them very much," she said as everyone smiled.

"Well let's do a secret Santa next year," kise said as some seem to like the idea.

"Well, that gives us an idea what to get for someone," Kuroko said as everyone nodded.

"Then it's decided next year we'll to secret Santa," I said as every cheered.

'Hopefully, it gives me time to find out more about (F/n).'
